Rang about getting my scooter repaired under warranty. I told them that I just got it back from being repaired from another repair centre, to which they responded well why don’t you send it back to them then? So I told them they didn’t repair all the bits on the bike that needed fixing so I wanted to try someone else. Was just rude and unprofessional and spoke to me like I was an idiot. Didn’t want to know, I assume because it’s under warranty. Poor.

I can’t recommend this company enough! I’ve had scooters for over 30 years and used lots and lots of different mechanics in that time, modern scooters are a breath of fresh air compared to most they are helpful, friendly, efficient, competent and above all honest! The last couple of times I’ve been in for minor fixes they havnt even charged me. I wouldn’t take my bikes (old or new) anywhere else and feel 100% confident in recommending them to anyone with a modern or classic scooter!!

I have been to modern scooters numerous times in the past. I recently took my vespa gts there and they done an amazing job in rebuilding and customising my bike. The service provided by Darren and the team is second to none. I can not fault modern scooters in any way. Thank you modern scooters!!!

Absolutely fantastic service! They were very kind and picked my Scooter up from my home - very speedy and easy pick up. I thought there were loads of issues with my Vespa - but they fixed all of them in a day!!! Excellent value - couldn't recommend anywhere for a better service, or a better price.

Contrary to the name they also do a lot of time-less vintage stuff.
Decades of experience and knowledge between them, which can be seen in some of the conversions they do when you take a closer look.
I've turned up with lots of random challenges - Never says No. Safe pair of hands and usually knows a man that knows a man for parts!

Went to Modern scooters this week with a vibration problem which was diagnosed very promptly by Darren, it turnt out to be a engine mounting problem which has been causing me problems for a while, this was no problem for the guys who had it done in no time at a very reasonable rate, I was also given some great maintenance advice for the future there knowledge of scooters old and new is priceless, highly recommend Darren and oscar,

Worst scooter shop ive ever been too i bought a 125 peugot from here, second hand for 1000 and within 1 week of riding the ped broke down on me, wouldnt recommend anyone to get a scooter from this place very unproffesional and scooters are very unreliable.

I left me scooter for a service, £180. On return they told me I had not given them the key (which they obviously lost). I towed my bike home. Eventually got a key from them (basic key), got home and then the scooter wouldn't even start. I had to take it to another mechanic to fix. Appalling.

Extremely bad service. Put my scooter in for repair and the owner went on holiday. Waited 2 weeks to get my scooter back. Very rude man. Just doesn't talk. Got the hump with the world. Also ordered mirrors on line and the courier company that they use never delivered for nearly 2 weeks. The rude man seemed to think it was my fault down the phone. Arrogant man. I would never do business with this lot again. Rather get my Scomadi dealt with somewhere else. Plenty of Royal Alloy dealers now. Who needs Modern Scooters.

Being a scooter owner I have always wanted to find a reliable, efficient, professional, friendly, trust-worthy and local provider. I have used a couple of other garages in the past but none come close to Modern Scooters , they are fantastic!
I have used them for my Vespa and I also recently purchased by new scooter from them, because not only do they service and repair scooters they also sell new and used ones.
The service I have received has always been friendly and professional and there is nothing they dont know about servicing and repairs to mopeds/scooters, especially on Vespa, Lambrettas etc.
They have always been able to fit me in last minute and on emergencies and what puts them above anyone else is their obvious passion for scooters. I have found all charges for work to be well priced and would and have recommended them to other scooter riders.
Darren the owner is great! He is friendly, honest and is obviously highly experienced in servicing and repairs. he knows his stuff!
if you have a scooter and need good place to service and repair your scooter, Modern Scooters is the place!
