I called yesterday to ask if I could be assessed as a new client. The person who answered said she was gaving trouble accessing the computer to book me in for an evening appointment. She took my number and said she would call back. She did not call back. I left it an hour and called again. This time a different person answered and asked me who I had spoken to. I said I had not asked for her name. She told ne her bame was Jane and if I gave her my number again she would make sure someone would contact me for an appointment possibly next Monday. I left my number again. Nobody called me back. I work in an NHS mental health service myself so I concerned about the service I have recieved so far. Mark

My friend attended their service and he said it really help him with his alcohol addiction, they are strict but very helpful, together with his GP, now he is sober for almost 2 months now, still a long way to go but this kind of service are lifeline for those people who want to quit but don't know how. Well done, you are all angels on earth.

Firstly the review from mommy bear is disgraceful I understand the worry with your brother I Do but to accuse people of causing deaths is out right evil. First off I speak from many years of experience addicts take what they want to, these people do not make us we are adults and responsible for our own actions second your brother can not be an addict then you blame others because he hasn’t got clean that’s just BS. Yes these PEOPLE are under a lot of pressure but y is it their fault it’s not their fault there are not enough of these places or that more people make wrong decisions then want help. If your brother hadn’t of gone to cgl he would’ve carried on as usual anyway that’s what we do so just because he hasn’t gone into detox isn’t the reason he nearly died I’m afraid it’s his and he needs to stand up and accept or you do that he made a mistake it’s simple. It pisses me off addicts blaming others ....who picked up that first bag or wrap or bottle ??? I know who it weren’t and it werent cgl. I have found cgl amazing and they HELPED ME get a better life but I had to show I was willing to put my effort in also. After over 10yrs on drugs at a high level I have been clean in treatment for over 10yrs thanks to cgl supporting. So I’m sorry but your brother needs to sort HIMSELF out not you and they will help. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to blame others for deaths of an adult that are responsible for their own actions and are in the situation they are because of them and try and make out your brothers a victim I can tell u he knows what he’s done is his own fault but people who blame others want an easy road to recovery when the road to addiction was far from this. It’s not an illness cancer is it’s a weakness and it gets the best of a lot of us but we can not blame anyone else but our selves and as I said I can speak from experience so i know what I’m talking about but what helped me be stronger was my family supporting me and me wanting a better life believe it or not many actually love the rush of chasing that first hit or high. Stop blaming others and support him if he truly wants help he will get it

Southwark's only designated community drug and alcohol advice, drop in and treatment centre for adults. It provides a whole plethora of alternative remedies, harm reduction advice, assessment and onward referrals, access to group and one to one structered therapies, methadone and subutex prescribing, needle exchange and onward referral for a residential detox and/or rehab centre.

Really shocking and unacceptable service received. Delayed treatment and key worker forgetting to submit my brother for detox, not only put him at risk and danger, it nearly killed him. And his still waiting. No acknowledgement to my emails despite asking for the complaint procedure. Camberwell Road, you obviously can’t cope and deal with the increasing numbers and problems facing Southwark residents, how many people do you continue to fail? How many people have died as a result of Southwark failing their duty of care? Until Southwark Council are investigates, many more people will die as a result of wrong, none treatment. Shame on you!
