Where do I start! This was my fourth time in rehab and I’m confident this was my last. The care, attention to detail, and professional conduct of every single member of the team at step by step has had a profound impact on my life. The quality of care, treatment, therapy and ongoing support is world class and I would recommend to anyone who is considering treatment for addiction to consider step by step. It saved my life. I have my life back! I went into the Lighthouse Treatment Centre desperate and broken. After finishing the 28 day program I moved into the Supported Housing. Full of nerves and what ifs but I faced my fears and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. I couldn’t do it in my own. The staff are amazing, they understand and what stood out for me the most is that they actually care. I’m happy and content, something I have been searching for 21 years. If you’re reading this and don’t know where to turn, I’ve been there. Reach out make a phone call. You never know it may change your life like it has mine.

We have only wonderful things to say about this amazing place. It gave our daughter her life back, to reach her potential, and be the person we always knew she was. Without this intervention we know we would not have our daughter with us today. They are truly professional and enable through a rigorous programme people achieve the sometimes impossible, but they make it happen, they are different, thorough and don't like many other types of recovery places offer just medication they have constructive programmes that are followed everyday. Step by step recovery has well and truly changed my entire life around and I have finally got my life back, thanks to all the staff here. They are all brilliant and well trained and it makes it better that they have all been though the same thing so they actually understand. I will never ever forget this place and the people there because this is where I got my life back and actually become happy again. I have a lot of time for everyone there. If anyone is thinking about getting there life back on track and getting well again then I strongly recommend going here I was a completely broken person when I went into step by step and I left there a strong young man again that has got choice in life. I can not recommend this rehab enough . As a family we will forever be thankful for Grants help, understanding and support . My Dad was in complete self destruction which was heart breaking to see , knowing there was nothing I could do to save him as I was out of my depth and I’d tried everything physically possible Sending a loved one into rehab is such an emotionally devastating and draining experience and thought , however after speaking to Grant he instantly warmed my heart with his advanced empathy and knowledge , I knew that my Dad would be in safe hands and with people that are not only extremely knowledgeable but very passionate about helping others with their recovery . Thankfully my Dad is well on the road to recovery , I have been blessed with more knowledge curtesy of Grants wisdom and most importantly as a family we feeling hopeful and excited about my Dads return home . Very rarely can we say someone has impacted our life’s selflessly , however We most definitely think Grant has , His passion and empathy is beyond any job description and his ability to be mindful and thoughtful in offering advice to family members is unique and most priceless . Grants support and reassurance most definitely helped me to save my Dad which I will forever be thankful for .

Avoid. I travelled to their clinic in Southend after paying £1,000 deposit demanded over the phone. On arrival, their main concern was the payment of the rest of the fee before proceeding. My bank declined payment (thankfully). I had already decided that I did not wish to remain there as the staff and general appearance of the place seemed unprofessional. I was later admitted by another more professional clinic/ company and am now well. I requested the return of £1,000 deposit from Step By Step , which they draggged their feet about doing, and would not return the deposit. I therefore had no choice but to go through the "chargeback" proceedure with my bank (I paid deposit with my Barclays Bank card). Barclays and visa are now going through the chargeback procedure with this company so that they will be required to return the deposit. This company prays on people at their most vulnerable moment and should not be trading. If you wish a similar awful experience as mine, by all means go there. I can only advise you of what happened to me, I hope it does not happen to you too

This is fake address. I visited and no rehab at this address. It's miles away on the south coast. These people using a London address to appear in search engines or something. Location was an accountants office

Started my journey if recovery here. Great staff and facilities, really made me start to look at the root of my addiction beyond just drugs and alcohol. The bottom line is I would be dead without this, i cant be grateful enough.

Called them and had a rude d even tho it was 2 in the morning and I was looking for help treated me like a div. Didn't really bother me but he should not be working there I was only looking for help

After nearly 20 years of addiction of both drugs and Alcohol this place saved my life taught me so much will always be eternally grateful as are my family

I can’t thank Step by Step enough. The advice and classes I got I hadn’t heard elsewhere and made total sense after years of fail attempts to stop drinking - I’d tried everything before going to the lighthouse to stop drinking and got just worse. Finally I have after 20 years. It’s not been easy but I have my kids back in my life and am looking for work now that I’m not anxious or scared any longer.
