Tiny restaurant, extremely popular among Asian people, reservation is almost imperative. I was in a group of six, and unfortunately our reservation got lost. The manager, after a lengthy discussion with my friends (lucky me they are Chinese) reserved us a table, but we still waited an hour. I never had hot pot before, and honestly it's a funny experience to have. But I must admit that it is nothing special, everything you order is raw, sometimes manipulated into rolls or balls, and you need to cook it for yourself into the broth/s you order. The spicy one is extremely hot, everyone in the restaurant kept wiping their noses and their faces were as red as ripe peppers. Any flavor vanishes in that lava. The other broth was way better: delicate, rich and tasty. I was struck by those delicious pumpkin cakes accompanied with what I suppose was sweetened condensed milk. Paid £40 each, I'd say try it if you never have.

Very good authentic Chinese hot pot! Good menu choices and not too expensive! Highly recommend this hot pot place!

Very unfriendly staff, overpriced hot pot, and generally a not good experience. Table and surrounding area are dirty and extremely greasy. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very popular place with Chinese people what it means that it is quite good at least for this type of food. I dont think is for everybody but worthy to give it a go if you want to try something different. Not very veggie friendly. I found the hot pot broth too oily and too hot (we went for the normal level). You may have to queue to get a table for dinner.

Very average place. Packed with chinese tourist, which would be an indicstion for quality chinese food, but id rather disagree... First of all, thr portions are ridiculous. I went extreme chinese and ordered stomach, and they did the lame trick brought the bawl full of salat and put the stomach meat on top so it seemed as you get a bang for your buck. Once u lift one out of 5 piece u right away see that u were tricked. 10 pounds for 5 pieces??? Hot pot broth was good, asked for a milder options since I did not want yo have a ring of fire ???? the next day... if you end up here do go for lamb or beef plates. Those options got me full. Service was on a slower side too. Also be prepared to pay cash, but that's common for china town looool

This is one of the best hot pot restaurants in London. It was very authentic and the hot everything was very nice. The food was ok although the broth was great. Also, the location of this place was great; it was close to British Museum and we ate their after visiting the British Museum. Would definitely recommend this place and return.

We met with friends (3 kids & 3 adults) and chose this restaurant as somewhere which was close by and looked nice and was open. The style was Chinese ‘hot pot’ which none of us had had any more. It consists of some note stock which is served in a bowl set into the table over a low flame, with various pieces of meat, fish & vegetables which you cook to your liking using nothing but the chopsticks & the ladles. It was a chaotic but very enjoyable experience and the food was really delicious. The Sichuan pepper stock was incredibly hot, so I was very glad we chose the 3 stock option which had a vegetarian stock and a light chicken stock as well! The service was very friendly and we came away having had a really good time. I would definitely go again.

Close to authentic Sichuan hotpot (probably the only one in London/UK), but overpriced and very little portion. Hot pot is actually an ordinary thing that everyone can afford in China but you probably have to pay a Michelin star restaurant's price to have a proper meal at this restaurant.

Authentic Sichuan hot pot. We got brains. Love it. Tofu was amazing. Can pay with WeChat Pay. Only problem is you can’t separate bills if you pay by cards.

Really expensive £73 for 2 people. 1 hot pot, 2 meats, on veg some rice, 2 drinks. Really tasty though, sichuan peppercorns really give a numbing heat on the tongue!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was good. You can pay with your card now!!! The "normal" spicy soup is really spicy, so beware!!! It gets mega busy, but we didn't need a reservation. Having read previous reviews, I was expecting a much more expensive restaurant, but it wasn't the case (but then again, maybe we just ask for very few plates of food) Our main complaint was the music choice (pop)

Authentic Sichuan hot pot I have been recommended by a friend from Sichuan, who said this is among the most authentic Sichuan hot pots in London. When it comes to Chinese hot pot, there are a few standards - the soup, the food and the sauce. Soup - 5/5 They serve three different types of soup with rich flavour. Be warned that some of them are really spicy, which is what Sichuan dishes are famous for. For people who cannot deal with spicy food, you can order 'Yuan Yang Guo' or 'San Wei Guo', which have half or one - third of non-spicy mushroom soup. Food - 4/5 Fresh food is the best for hot pot. Food here is nice, especially for some hotpot dishes that are rare in other places. Sauce - 5/5 They have all the traditional sauce for hot pot. The garlic one is really nice. Price - 3/5 Price wise, it is not cheap. However, generally speaking, hot pot restaurants are more expensive compared to other cuisine. So, the bigger the group, the better, as you can share diverse food and the cost.

I went for karaoke here. But they are snakey as they deliberately gave us so little food. We paid £250 for 6 then slices of beef, a few slices of fish, less the a chinese rice ball of vegetables and a big pot of soup. This was the case because we got hotpot in their karaoke room, so they cooked everything for us and serve in a massive bowl. Between 7 ppl we left hungry left we ordered £250 worth of food. Skip this place if you can

It’s really over priced. I wouldn’t recommend small groups to go there. The food quality is good and the hot pot base is decent.

The place of the smell is awful when you enter here (it smells like a food. It's very bad.). Sometimes you would find that it's loud. Like VERY loud that you won't know how loud Chinese people are. Also you need to pay for staff for 10 pounds. We also had a theater that starts in 1 hour. Also if you hate chopsticks, I would not really recommend it. You would start with raw food and you choose a side to cook, either not spicy or spicy. Some food can be cooked already like rice. The bathroom is downstairs with a extra door. The sides of the hot pot is extremely hot so careful! Plus the chopsticks is long so it will be annoying. And sometimes the spicy side could be very spicy. You would maybe only see Chinese people in the restaurant. The hot pot cooking could overheat and it will maybe painful because of the temp. Sometimes the music is loud and in Chinese. If you ran out of paper, you can find it by pulling the thing on any side of the table on any table. You would normally have a lemonade for your water. I won't recommend anyone that hates chopsticks, hot temp, awful smells, 10 pounds for staff, and very spicy food that you cooked from the hot pot.

Agreed with the other reviewers: - overpriced - small plates - rude staff + added stuff to our bill that we didn't order and argued and pretended to not speak English suddenly

I don’t think it’s a good place for hangout. Too many people, have to wait till service and time limited. The hot pot is average ordinary taste as a Chinese hotpot however the price are really too expensive. Won’t go there again. You can go to someplace really nice with average 50 pounds per people. No idea why it’s that popular.

I agree with the other reviews here. The Szechuan broth was very spicy. I couldn’t taste anything after eating it . The food was not fresh , small plates and it was too expensive £96 for 2 persons, £8 for service charged which was not even a good service. Honestly, for this price you can eat in a better restaurant with a better quality standard of food and service. Moreover, staff were also not attentive. I will never go back and not recommend this place. Once is enough!

On the plus side I found the staff attentive and very helpful for a group of first time hot pot eaters. Food was tasty and definitely an experience. Negatives. As others have said it's expensive for what it is and they only take cash. Would definitely recommend trying at least once.

I confused this place with another and had never had Chinese hot pot before. The staff I think recognised this and helped me when ordering and knowing what needed cooking and what didn't. They even offered me a fork, although I didn't accept! Overall it was very tasty, attentive staff and detailed menu.

Poorest service ever and the food was not fresh. We ordered tofu and when served it was clearly gone off. The waiter did not have the slightest interest to resolve that and simply said it suppose to taste like that. After we insisted politely as we know what tofu should taste like, a more senior member admitted the tofu was three days old! Then we were asked rudely: "what do you want?" By the female manager who returned from smoking outside sounding really angry. Too scared to ask for anything other than fresh tofu that's before used by date. Finally they served the tofu by literally throwing that on our table. Despite I am a Chinese who loves hotpot so much, I still decided I shouldn't go again.

Sheer agony. The pain from the chilli soup in all of the mouth burnt so much that I couldn't taste the delicious-sounding food. The waiter should have helped because on our way out the entirely Chinese other customers had much more and gentler dishes.

It was my first time trying a Chinese hotpot here in London. It was alright, on par with the standards for Chinese hotpots. You can order all kinds of meat, livers, and whatnot. The only downside I see that would make me think twice about coming back here is the price. It was around 70 pounds and I thought that for a dinner for two, it was not worth it.

It's okay, but the only pots with oil are all spicy and in any group there's always somebody who doesn't eat spicy.

Avoid this place at all cost. I went there for dinner with my friend to try out something new. Was very overpriced for what it is. We were very disappointed by the pricing of the hot pot which turned out to be tasteless. The beef was ok but really small. Still have to pay for service which was also appalling. We left the place hungry still hungry and ended up at MacDonald for a replacement meal... Will never return there.

Me and my friend are big fans of a good quality hot pot, it seems to be easy as you don’t really need to have anyone cooking as you cook yourself, however for some reason it’s very difficult to find one good quality authentic hotpot in London. We were advised to visit that place, we were sceptical however when we came there we found out that most customers are Chinese (good sign) it proves it’s authenticity. The staff were Asian as well , so they were very familiar with the products they serve and could easily advise or help you with your choice. Moreover despite the menu filled with pictures which makes it way easier especially for those who are not very family with the Asian cousin you can come to the fridge yourself and choose and pick the products which you find attractive (menu is good, but when you see it in reality it’s even better). Then we are as spoiled and difficult clients of course managed not to find something what we wanted in the menu however the manager (or however that amazing woman were) asked the kitchen to make it for us, that was something that in reality we didn’t even expect. And the most amazing thing that when it came for the bill, having 2 bottles of wine, 3 bottles of water and nearly everything from the menu for 3 of us we only spent £50 each ! Amazing place! Definitely recommend! P.s. we didn’t recognise how long we stayed there, we left very late and nobody even tried to let us know they were closed, they patiently waited for us to finish!

The real Chinese hot pot: I have been in China several times, and this is what hot pot should be. The chilly broth is deliciously spicy, and if you are not into very chilly food you can opt for a milder broth. Warnings: - they only take cash, or payment through a bunch of Chinese payment methods - as in real Chinese hot pot places, your clothes will smell of chilly oil when you get out of there :) but it’s part of the experience!

While definitely not great compared to Hotpot in New York this places extra spicy broth was actually real burn my esophagus hot (which I appreciate). Considering spicy is nonexistent in London I was relieved to find someplace that'd make me sweat. Though, warning, not for the weak. FYI am Chinese.

Very delicious hot pot but very pricey as well. Weekend was horrible because you have to wait around 40 mins to an hour. Better call for reservation if you don't want to wait.

Their ingredients are quite fresh and good quality, pity they don't have that much rice noodle selection! Their mushroom plate is great, but avoid the pork meatballs, they don't work that well in a hot pot. Could expand on their drink selection! The little VIP area is very cosy, don't book for more than 6-7 people!

It's 1.5 hour meal time. If the previous diners didn't finish on time, you would be delayed and you were kept being informed that you need to finish by 8pm. Feels very hurried. Although food is OK, if you like to eat with your own speed and chat with your friends for a long time rather than checking your watch all the time, then it's not for you.

Totally agree with other reviewers on the low value for money - I think there is NO value for money at all! £130 for 2 people, only on soft drinks. Dish portions are extremely small - it’s shambles really. Any other Chinatown hotpot place would offer excellent service and so better value - you can do on everage £30/head! For £130 you can have a very good fine dining experience in Michelin stared Hakkasan rather than this small, noisy, smelly, dirty place crammed in Chinatown. Btw we both had bad diarrheas straight post the meal. NEVER again!
