I would like to thank the management, nurses, care and activities staff for taking care of my mum for the past 6 months. She is very well looked after and cared for, when we were allowed to visit she was happy and joined in with the activities. Once again I would like to thank everyone for their hard work during these times.

I came here for an open day recently and really enjoyed my time here. The staff were extremely helpful and made everyone feel welcome. The care the residents had received was fantastic and they all seemed to enjoy the day. The entertainment was great! The food was lovely also. The whole team had pulled off a great day! Really looking forward to their Halloween party ???? well done Langdale!

Jamie, Paddy and their team were wonderful in these difficult times, we really appreciated their thought and dedication when they cared for our brother. Highly recommended

Relative was neglected. She is not mobile and within a few days of being there she had a fall, leaving her face very bruised, due to being left in an inappropriate chair (incident reported). Found her in the same chair two days later almost falling out of it again (incident reported). Left so dehydrated her tongue was stuck to the roof of her mouth (incident reported and staff decided to then monitor her drinking). The next day we found her shut in her room severely dehydrated and with a high temperature. Drink monitoring paperwork not in place and she was unable to reach the drinks left out on her table. Admitted to hospital with sepsis and pneumonia, all signs of infection missed by staff but were easily noticeable. Sent here by the hospital for assessment and staff appeared not trained to be able to deal with her condition. Some staff helpful but would not send anyone here given the choice. Seems to be more for people with behavioural difficulties. Would give no stars if possible.

I dont know how they can call there self a care home a neglect home more like absolutely sickening the way my relative was treated its out rite disgusting hair unwashed nailS in an appaling state no interaction with staff left on the 2nd floor no buzzer if it was working that is not the first time this matter has been raised and wont be the last time I'm sure. cqc need to honestly check the standards of this place it is diabolical in my eyes i would never ever recommend this place as a care home and the staff well they need to go back to personality school and learn manners and what the word care actually means and the management team they need to retrained as they no nothing about care and compassion..... Place needs to be shut down..... Relative is now moving and is no longer in this so called caring home....

Langdale View is a beautiful large welcoming care home with responsive staff under the guidance of a highly experienced manager. All the residents look well dressed, recieve activities and stimulation daily. There seems to be a cheerful buzz around the home amongst the staff and the residents. Seeing pictures of residents on a day out at the beach just confirms this.

I cannot recommend this place. My father was sent here for assessment and spent three months here before I decided to take him home and care for him myself. It took two weeks to get him walking again and he could walk until the day he died.He died last year at the age of 95 and during the four years in my care he didn't have one hospital admission and died peacefully at home.As another reviewer says, its a place for those who have severe mental health problems and should not be used for CHC assessments.

Staff not very attentive to our dad's dementia needs, often left with out water or drinks as he cannot ask or get himself, also hes always cold & left being cold even though we keep telling them he needs a cardi or blanket on him in the day, place very old & in need of alot of up grading. He was sent here from hospital so would not be our choice.

I find the negative reviews unfair and not reliable as I trust langdale and they have shown nothing but respect and support to two of my relatives that stayed there and they were professional and supportive during the hard times I would highly recommend them to anyone! AMAZING!

APPALLING! APPALLING! APPALLING!!! My elderly mother suffered terribly at Langdale View, in the short time she was there she lost a lot weight and developed bed sores!! I have since moved her out of there and reported this to the local authority, they need to shut this disgusting place down now!!!

One of my relatives had the misfortune of staying in this 'care home', dirty room, rude staff and the food was downright cheap and disgusting! How did this place ever pass the CQC inspection??
