Silver Oaks Residential Care Home

I cannot rate Silver Oaks highly enough, the care and kindness that was given to my mum during her last 2 years living with Alzheimer's was second to none. She was always clean and comfortable and despite being bed bound for the last 14 months of her life she did not have a single pressure sore. The property is spotless, the food home made and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. I would have no hesitation recommending this home to any one who might have a family member in need of residential care.

I wouldn't recommend this care home at all. My mother was treated terribly. Some of the staff were awful and I overheard them talking about my mum in a derogatory manner. She was left dirty and uncared for. She ended up in hospital for 6 months due to a fall. I Didn't like the management or the nurse who was extremely rude. It looks nice in the pictures but I wouldn't leave my dog in there. A big fat fail for Silver Oaks. She is now in Park Manor being properly cared for... The most kind and wonderful staff i could have wished for.

I can thoroughly recommend this residential home. They offer a high standard of care throughout and the staff are both extremely helpful and caring. When I needed to place my mother in a residential home a year ago, I was quite concerned about what was out there, and whilst a number of places I visited where quite good, this was the last place and I quickly realized this was the place for my Mum. I have no regrets about moving my mother in and feel she is looked after to a very high standard. If you are seeking such a place please do give it a viewing.
