I was admitted to Queen Mary's aged 15 in 1968 after an accident. After xray my dad was told that I had fractured my cervical spine in 2 places and would not walk again! I spent 6 weeks in traction and slowly but surely I regained the feeling in my legs. The treatment I received was excellent and the rehabilitation helped me to get back on my feet. Thank you for all you did for me all those years ago.Student nurse Caroline Greg was particularly caring and supportive.

Finally a pleasant NHS experience!!!! 1) They have enough parking, which is very rare in any hospital 2) It is clean!! You do not need a shower after visiting this place, it is neat, you basically feel better just walking in. 3) Went to the urology department staff were helpful, polite and understanding 4) My specialist showed a genuine care, and I had confidence in his ability, did not feel like I was just another number. Hands down better than Chelsea and Westminster!!

I'm biased, they helped me be able to walk again. The prosthetic care is second to none and sioned is an absolute superstar of a prosthetist

First time here as it's not local at all. Gabriel and Angela were really lovely and made me feel very comfortable. They took great care of me and made the experience a lot better for me. If I went back I would want those two to look after me. Pleasant experience here.

Staff and treatment unbeatable. But why do the hospital, despite many complaints, insist on flying the Union Jack upside down at the hospital entrance? It signifies a sign of distress and is also considered an insult to the Crown. Get it sorted.

As a visitor and carer to my adult son on Mental Health wards, most recently Laurel Ward. Polite & helpful staff. Condiderate of carers & visitors. My son has been treated with sensitivity and thoughtfulness. Good procedures for dsaling with COVID-19. Roomy carpark (free during covid pandemic). Friendly reception area and a nice cafe.

Very interesting nice big picture on the wall. And a museum about learning about Amputated on Leg and arm, how showing on film and sound. About how put new Leg on the body as walking distance.

The day staff in the Lavender ward and Jupiter Ward are caring, kind and full of love for their patients. There are always exceptions and many will need to find a more suitable career or be influenced by the outstanding men and women that treated my daughter like she was a member of their family. You will always be family to her no matter what happens. I will be forever grateful for the inspiration given by an ex volunteer now bank staff, young man that proved to my daughter, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you. xxx

Excellent service and hospital was kept clean! It seems like all staff have been trained very well. Receptions, nurse (blood test) and doctor - they did their job well.

Horrible experience in Dermatology, which is indicative of the NHS's poor standards. The dermatologist seemed lazy, under-informed, unconcerned and ineffective. He seemed ready to let me go without any treatment for a severe chronic skin condition that I've had since 2011. Then he to persuade me to use steroid cream even though I told him that my specialist said it is contraindicated. Though it is not all his fault, as the NHS needs to be more forward thinking and advanced in the treatment of skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis. Their treatments often make things worse. They are outdated and often counterproductive.

Shocking treatment. Cannabis and cocaine on the Laurel ward. I was assulted 5 times and the staff did nothing. Dr Firdosi knows about the illicit drugs and doesn't do anything. It's outrageous. It's no place for anyone with mental health issues to get better. The staff failed in their duty of care to me too many times to remember. No one takes any responsibility and just try to brush everything under the rug. Do not let your loved ones end up on the psychiatric wards. It's a prison in everything but name.

Went for a CT scan in the Radiology Department, I didn't have to wait at all. I was delighted to be in and out in no time. My only two issues were that I found the signage a little confusing and there was no sanitiser.

Queen Mary Hospital A&E is for Minor injuries treatments, a day treatment centre for diagnostic such as: Blood Test, MRI, CT scans, X-rays, physiotherapy and Rehab for amputees. Good coffee shop, with weekly traders for jewelries, ladies bags and other things. QMHR sold off it's assets of lands e.g. the Mental healthcentre for over 22years. So any bad experience from reviewer, would have been from previous not currently. QMHR lost its teaching hospital status since it was under treats to be closeddown in the late 90's, it mental health centre was used to built luxury flats on Roehampton lane at the first gate opposite Greenwich Uni annxe. The 2nd gate building is listed and it's facing clearance lane, that building was the HR staff offices in the late 80's. QMHR was known over the world for its amputee prosthetic specialists were are they know? The burns unit was also known all over the nation, these specialist teams has been desipictated? Were? The neighbouring Kingston hospital was not very welcoming to Roehampton residences. Everyone from Roehampton would complained about the second class citizens or the two tiers services. Roehampton wing or ward was created and the services was not good. I use to wonder if Roehampton tax payers deductions was also rejected by Kingston hospital. In one experience an A&E reception asked a Black British that spoke in Queen English their passport b4 attending to their health but failed to ask an EU patient who needed an interpreter from their family to spell their names. If anyone is registered under a G.P, No A&E administrator should be profiling at that point of service. I believed that's noore the case at Kingston hospital. I have met older people that refused to be treated as Kingston hospital and they leave at Kingston. An older woman said, she would always carry £50.00 on her to pay for taxi, in case of emergency- to take her any hospital but not Kingston. She refused to call the ambulance, since they would always take one to their local hospital. When I reassured her, that I would also do the same, she was relieved that someone understood her plight. she said her family thinks she is crazy, as she leave closer to The hospital but refused to use the services. I also told her my experience, having lost my mother to MRSA in 2007 at Kingston hospital. How the Trust has no professional system in place to sincerely apologise to patient's families when things goes wrong. A bereaved family should not be expected to request for apologies when such things happens? At times sorry goes a very long way! As the saying goes. I'm still waiting!

I had a recent visit to the Minor injuries unit at the Queen Mary's Hospital in Wandsworth and the overall experience was excellent. The waiting time was very small and the staff starting from the Receptionist to the lady Doctor who saw me was very nice and kind and provided me with the best care. | would like to thank the staff at the Minor injury unit for the exceptional service.

Just unbelievable caring and consideration. I had my foot operation 3 weeks ago. The lead up and preparation, to the actual operation day, could not be faulted. All the way from the reception, to the nurses, to the surgeon, to the x- ray - this hospital is just outstanding. I am currently having post operation check ups and baggage changes. 5 stars for NHS..

A god awful place! Please if any of your loved ones are being admitted into the mental health wards please think again. I was admitted into a ward after a suicide attempt, this being the lowest point in my life in my 45 years after suffering a mental breakdown. The staff were rude, disinterested and lazy. If you wonder why family aren’t allowed into patients rooms well it’s because they are filthy, unsanitary and sparse. My room had blood on the walls and being on a mixed ward men were able to see into my bedroom through blinds on the door. Misinformation was given to my family about my welfare and how I was coping. They reported that I had been up and about and had dinner where in fact I hadn’t left my room in 48 hours and had eaten nothing. There were illegal street drugs brought into the ward by friends of patients and I was offered these if I went into the courtyard area. I made several attempts to notify the staff of this and also the male patients that would be allowed to walk the corridors intimidating women patients. All of my concerns were shrugged off and ignored. On one a occasion a male cleaner entered my room while I was getting dressed. I felt terrified the whole time I was there. The one thing I will say is that I fought very hard to get myself better to be able to leave this hell hole. It was an absolute disgrace in every way!

This review is for Queen Mary's Outpatient Physiotherapy Department. My auntie had been attending this dept on and off for many years and although is well organised and the physiotherapists are nice people, she feels that she is just wasting her time in there. They used to provide physical therapy (Nicola very good, Lucy good as well), but nowadays there is too much talking about exercises to do at home and close to none manual therapy. She was under the care of Claire recently and she received 20 minutes of instructions each session and 2 minutes on average - two! - of mobilisation and manipulation. Disappointing. She resorted to go privately to The Massage Centre in Chiswick and in just 3 sessions she managed to get rid of a bad back pain that plagued her for months. She vowed not to go back again to Queen Mary's.

One of the receptionist Cherish on the main hospital line was rude, wasn't helpful and very argumentative. Definitely needs more training or change of job. I have a L the recordings tomprove it and I'm going to complain about her. Doesn't even deserve 1 star.

I have beeen a patient in many departments and have always been treated with the utmost care and attention. It is a NHS hospital and clinics can run over through no fault of the staff and for the service provided it is a little enough price to pay. I know it can be inconvenient for people with busy lives but extra time for appointments just has to be computed in or private appointments paid for elsewhere.
