This venue is class!!! The staff are next level sound, they make you feel super same and welcome. Visited here a few times but The Prodigy was unreal. One of the best nights of my life.

Excellent venue. Travelled from Edinburgh to see Hatsune Miku there and wasn't disappointed. All the staff and security were really lovely, helpful and professional and the venue is really cool it has beautiful decor and during the gig felt like o was at an outside concert. Its really close to the train station with about a 5 minute walk and was really easy to get to from the underground. 5 stars.

It's a lovely big theatre for performances n Art. Went there for a comedy show and even sitting in the gallery upstairs, I had a perfectly great view of the stage despite people in front of me. Location has a great bus network just outside and the Victoria line is less than 7 mins walk away. Before or after a show, there are bars around the academy n if u fancy street food, Afro-carribean chicken sold just outside the doors of the academy. I had a great time there.

Great venue for live music. Curved floor means you can see the stage behind others easily. Impressive interior adds to the venue. Also, the ques weren't excessive when I went. 5/5

This venue was on point. Good location near the tube. The venue is expertly managed, there was next to no queue, almost a straight walk through. However still a security check for every person. This doesn't bother me in the slightest, quick painless and gives you peace of mind knowing they are checking. The gig we were at the Amazons gig and loved it. The bar service was okay as it was busy, upstairs bar was super efficient.

Went to see Stray Kids 3 weeks ago and it was the best night of my life. Even though I was at the back I had a great view as I was right on the incline. And as it was a sold out concert it was packed but still had some room to move around freely. A few people had to be escorted out due to lack of air. But overall best night. THE CONCERT ITSELF WAS A BIG PARTY

One of the better music venues around London. The acoustics are usually very good and stage production can be amazing. The slanted standing means you can see your favourite artists no matter where you stand and that's something awesome I've only come accross here!

Nice venue and in the middle of the action, however second time here and not great accoustics both times. May be that we were at the front and it's a relatively small venue so the speakers are high. Also, can be be quite hard to drive to/park if out of London from the north. Best to use train/tube if possible (although most concerts finish around 10 30 and tube gets you back to London too late for northbound trains so watch out).

One of my favorite music venues!! The bars could do with more staff so you not waiting for ages, and the best thing is the massive 1lt beers they served, means you don't need to keep going to the bar. Sound amazing and vibes really great.. especially when you're short and can't see over the person in front of you, even with the sloped floor. Great night out.

New Years Party here the place was full and the music was good with great views of the stage due to the sloped floor... could have made more of the venue with lighting and decor but I guess that's down to the individual promoter.. a fun night and worth a night out here

Always a great venue. I go there all the time and never have to queue long to get in. See my pic of the crowd when leaving so I always try to hang back at the end. Headline act usually starts at 9pm FYI. Beer isn’t great but I wouldn’t bother with drinks once here to be honest the queue is usually pretty long. Standing is way better than seated

I attended a concert here by Within Temptation as part of their Resist tour in Europe. The venue itself wasn't that large but it was big enough to hold everyone that attended. It was packed to capacity but there still enough space to move around and enjoy yourself without bumping into people too much. Security for the venue was tight and safety was a high priority. That was something excellent. The staff were very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. I also managed to get unexpected priority early access to the venue because O2 was my phones service provider.

Great venue and the sloping floor means even shorties like me can see when standing. 2 pint cups are genius...

This space has a decent PA system and acoustics. Not too many thrills in the backstage area and after party vibe in the bar, but the green room area have pool and private mini bar with screens and comfy sofas. I was here to see my boys, Young Fathers and their sound is pretty full on. This venue handled them very well. The ground is slanted, as it should be at these types of venues so those standing at the back at least have a better chance of seeing what's going on. The stage is also set at a good height. Would recommend this space to go and hear live music. Not my favourite venue, but it's not half bad ????

The best O2 venue I have been to by far. Large auditorium with a very interesting Italian custom build backdrop, not what I expected to see. There are lots of bars serving 1 and 2 pint beer and various wines and spirits. If you are interested is a lovely example of Art Deco architecture.

I might be a bit biased because I've been coming here for gigs for nearly 40 years but it is such a great venue!!! Excellent sound in this beautiful building and a real old school vibe. There's nothing fancy (except the beautiful architecture inside) about it but there's plenty of bars selling drinks at reasonable prices and a pie kiosk. But you go for the music and this is the best venue to be at. If you've never been to Brixton Academy - you've never been to a gig!

I watched You Me at Six perform a couple of shows here and the venue is honestly incredible. It looks and sounds absolutely amazing with the sloped floor offering views all the way to the back. The barriers aren't miles away from the stage like some venues and it's probably the closest you can get to a no barrier show. It feels like an Academy in name only, it's a pretty large venue and is better set out than any other Academy I've ever been to. Honestly, everyone who loves live music needs to go to Brixton at least once and see a band they love perform there, it's iconic for a reason and offers a completely unique live music experience.

My favourite London venue. Easy to get to. Easy to find. Plenty of interesting places to eat nearby before you join the queue. Fast and smooth entry. Helpful and efficient security. Lovely character in the building itself. Always a wonderful atmosphere. Plus the sloped floor means you can pretty much always see the stage. The only negatives; it's often pretty chilly inside and there's always a queue for the loo.

The venue was good, however it was fairly unorganized both by the company and the venue. The lines for wristbands and the standing sections were a mess and when we got in it was very very hot and many people fainted, however I had the time of my life here, at this concert with Stray Kids #StrayKidsinLondon

Great place for a gig. Saw KillSwitchEngage here, they were fantastic. Fairly intimate location for a fairly large band, atmosphere was electric. Drinks not too expensive for London and service was fairly quick. Getting into the venue was no hassle at all, with security quick but thorough. Nice.

A venue with character, great decor and faux ceiling. Standing on the sloping ground floor plus seating upstairs. Pretty small but good amenities, beer and snacks available through the night, would need bigger, cleaner toilets.

I have been waiting to go to Brixton academy for years but i was not ready. The floor is slanted so at 4'11 this is the first gig EVER where i have been able to view the front whilst not having to queue for hours to get the barrier. Not to mention, the venue is decorated beautifully and there are toilets close to the front of the stage so you don't have to go miles out the crowd to queue!

Good atmosphere and professional staff. Everything was efficient and smooth. By the time i got inside they was sold out of merch but that is no fault of the venue. Very close to bus stops which is nice. There is a coat room inside which cost me £3 for a coat and a jacket.

Great size for a concert, not too big but feels intimate. Floor slopes downwards so you get a great view from everywhere even at the back. Good drinks selection for a concert venue. Definitey a great place to see big music acts.

Nice venue, so much bigger than expected (Not sure what I was expecting though for nearly 5000 capacity). We were there for Anne-Marie (she was fantastic by the way) so it was busy but not crazy. Bars aren't terribly priced (for London) though the range is pretty limited. There will be something for all though. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, I'll be back.

Great venue with lots of history attached. With the venue not being as big as most the views are unrestricted and give a good atmosphere. Well worth a visit if a favourite band is in town!

To pay for tickets to see any artist there, I always end up feeling slightly ripped off as there are no seats at all. The closer you get to the stage, the lower the flooring gets which means that unless you have the luck of a Leprechaun and upon your decent down to the stage, you do not come across any 6 footers, then you'll be absolutely fine...otherwise you're screwed and lumbered with standing at the back with all the other dwarfs, me included. Whilst trying to dance through other peoples plastic litter.

Great venue, one of the most aesthetic music gig venues I've ever visited. Sound is phenomenal. The only issue we had the last time we visited was tgatvtgere wasn't enough staff at the bars.

One of my favourite London venues for bigger bands as has a slight gradient so that you can see well from most places.

This place is just awful. I went to see a DJ here and knew immediately it was a terrible idea. I would have gone straight home but could see my wife was trying to make the best of it, so stuck it out. It was so quiet I could hear all the conversations around me (I was near the front), and it sounded more like I was listening to a festival going about a mile away than being in a venue. Also, be prepared to wait a good ten minutes at an overpriced bar to get an overpriced drink. Wait for your chosen artist to appear at a better venue.

I like the sloping floor that helps others behind see the stage. Wear trainers tho for better grip. Not the best acoustics.

An iconic venue with character and history. Great views of the stage from the stalls thanks to the raked floor, fabulous acoustics, great facilities and plenty of signposting. The security staff are even polite, friendly and funny! Unbeatable. Just add your favourite band, playing your favourite song, for the best night of your life.

Probably the best venue in London. The slanted floor and breaker bars ensure a good view without the risk of being crushed or pushed. Security is good, and the bars are rarely crowded. My only real gripe is the drinks on tap, but they're probably contractually obliged to use them.

Brilliant venue for a band gig. With the sloping floors get great views and has a festival outdoors feel. Less good for DJ sets as the floor then means everyone is very focused on the front and less interaction.

I have visited this venue few times. Although it is not big I like it cause the acoustic is mot bad and because the variety of beer and ales with a fair price (for a venue). Good visibility from almost all the areas (top level and down in the pitch)

Excellent, relatively intimate venue, once the question have died soon outside they open a smoking area. Card only at the bars inside ensure minimum waiting times for drinks. 5th time I've been, still love it!!!

Always loved this venue. The sloping floor from its days as a cinema really helps allow everybody to get a good view. The security team nowadays seem genuinely to care about the visitors, the bars are quick and rarely too rammed. All in all one of my fave venues to visit.

Beautiful building but they need to build a smoking area. Not letting people out until the headline act comes on means people end up missing what they paid money to see.
