Was so happy to return to shopping but then it was like a free for all with zero mask wearing compliance by staff and ultimately the customers too. Worst of all the manager who came to help with the refund was included in this. Won't be going back. I'll be heading to a safer branch

Zero customer service. Rude and miserable staff. Shop is chaotic and Mismanaged.
I was absolutely shocked and appalled at the service or lack of service (shall I say), I received in this shop. I went there on two consecutive days as my son changed his mind about which trainers he wanted and both days, the shop was chaotic. Their scanners were not working on day 1 when i was there, so they couldn't even tell what size trainers they had in stock. However, rather than conveying this information correctly and politely to the customer, they didn't. It was conveyed in somewhat a rude manner, the staff looked fed up, miserable and not helpful at all.
This was the same attitude I observed on the 2nd day of my visit here, although they seemed to have more staff and their scanners were working, however there was still a lot of waiting around - which I didn't mind so much, they were busy. The issue came when they brought my son's trainers down with one foot missing. They couldn't find this for some time so I waited some more. My own pair of trainers, although they had them in stock, guess what!? They couldn't find the box. They couldn't find the box??? How is this possible, well I suppose the simple answer is the shop is totally disorganised and mismanaged.
Eventually my son's other trainer was found but not the box for mine. Anyway, I went forward to pay for these, I noticed a 10pence charge had been added to my total. I asked the (miserable) girl who served me and she said the 10p was for a bag. Hmm..a bag which I didn't ask for. I told her I didn't ask for a bag, so she mutters something rudely under her breath and takes off the charge. Don't get me wrong, I didn't mind paying the 10pence but my issue is that I never asked for the bag and she never asked me if I wanted a bag - it's the principal of the matter. On completion of payment, she rips my receipt and hands it to me, cuts her eyes and walks off. Wow!! So much for service with a smile.
I still really want my trainers as I can't find them anywhere else, but with that kind of service, I'm not sure i want to go back to JD Walworth ????.

A small branch of JD but they’ve got an amazing manager - Chris who is quick and efficient in resolving complaints. The staff in the store are really nice and friendly and I’ve had a completely different experience contrary to what I’ve read in the comments here

If I could give a 0 rate I would, there is no such thing has customer service in this shop. Talking to the staff and they just start taking to one another has if your not there, I called in to check if they had a particular trainers and the guy on the phone said they did have it in that store . the guy said and I quote “we don’t do those trainers in this store” but my mum popped in has she lives close and surprise surprise there they were in the size I wanted. (Obviously I didn’t buy them) because clear my business isn’t needed I will spend my money we’re customer service is top priority. Will NEVER SHOP IN JD AGAIN.

After trying on a pair of trainers for about 5 minutes, I was having a look at some other shoes and the employee boxed them up despite me clearly asking him to leave them so I could compare the styles. The guy at the cashier proceeded to embarrass me in front of the other customers by saying I was making the shoes dirty by walking around the store with them and that I was ruining them for future customers. I felt pressured to just get the shoes and get out of there, but before I left I clarified that it was inappropriate to treat customers this way. The floor was already dirty and I went there first thing in the morning. They should mop their floors in the morning instead of embarrassing their customers! Definitely not shopping at JD again if this is how they train their employees.

Bought Nike trainers from Walworth rd branch only to find one shoe was wrong size. Nightmare to resolve. Westfield shepherds Bush Manageress did company proud. Staff in other stores were rude and immature.

The 1st time i went to shop in at this store management was ridiculous, the 2nd time a thug grabbed clothing run out the store a poor worker grabbed him and he knocked her to the ground , the items were recovered, now this is the ridiculous part a manager comes out speaking on her phone with not a care in the world and never asked the girl if she was ok , anyway i approached this female worker she told me this is the 4th time this thug tried to rob the store... the bloody store can not provide a security guard and gets robbed staff are being made to run after thief's its absolutely ridiculous, i gave that poor worker advice not to grab thief's as she could get injury in the process , its a joke that jd would rather not have security and make employees the security. .
