I bought a Dacia Logan from the used car team in August and found the team very helpful in helping me choose a vehicle and they arranged for the car to be brought to the dealership (once I had put down a deposit) in order for me to carry out a test drive. I was happy with the car and service received up to this point, and therefore went ahead with the purchase. I picked my car up and was happy that it had received a full valet. However, about a week after purchasing my car, everytime I applied the brakes there was a squeaky noise coming from them. As well as this when I put my key in the tailgate lock, it would constantly turn and not open. I visited the used car team who helped me book it in with the after sales team so that the two issues could be investigated. When booking the car in for the work, I informed the advisor that I was at work at 2pm on the day the appointment was made and said that I would wait for the work to be done in the morning. I was told this would be fine as long as I brought the vehicle in first thing in the morning. I was also told that if it was worn pads or discs then the warranty would not cover it as classed as wear and tear, to which I advised that I hope it wasn't these as only bought the car a week earlier and the car had been serviced in July. On the day of the appointment I arrived at the after sales desk and gave them my keys, they then said that they would call me once the work had been done. I advised that it was a waiting appointment as i was at work at 2pm, but they told me it wouldn't be looked at until after 12.30pm. I asked why this was the case as had specifically asked for an appointment first thing so I could go to work straight from the garage. I was then told I could wait but it may not be looked at before I had to leave for work! I then visited the used car sales office as I had not yet received my deposit back which I had put down to bring the car over from another dealership. I was told it was with the finance team and needed signing off by a manager. I am writing this on 05.02.2020 after purchasing my car in August and I have still not received my deposit despite visiting the office and calling several times. I even gave them my card to transfer the deposit back on to it from their card reader, which did not print a receipt, and was told it should have gone in despite no receipt being printed. That was in November and I still do not have it. Now I am waiting from the admin team to investigate even though I can prove from my bank statements that I have not had it. In terms of the work carried out to my car, I visited twice for the brake issues, first time they lubricated them and the squeak returned the same day, and then they took the brake box apart and told me they were full of dirt and dust which warranty did not cover. This cost me £111 to have them cleaned, cannot understand why this was not picked up on service? I am also now awaiting my 4th tailgate lock for the vehicle. I have had the same issue with all of the previous 3, the key just turns in the lock and does not open it. I cannot understand why this issue has not been fixed. I really do not want to sit in the waiting area for another afternoon for an issue that I don't trust to be sorted, but have no option as I need a working tailgate lock! And to top it off the last time I brought the car in the advisors were telling people they only had one valet working and therefore they could go without the car being cleaned and take a car cleaning kit instead. I took the option to go as I didn't want to hang about any longer and was not offered one of these kits? A bit of a pretty moan, but just adding on to the poor experience I have received from Renault Leicester since I gave them my money. I do not feel like a valued customer since!

Bought a car from here last year. I've had nothing but problems since this. Was told to go to another garage to get work done on the car which would be covered under warranty however was charged due to no fault being found despite Renault confirming a fault.

The experience of collecting a brand new car should be a fantastic experience, my dads experience was poor from start to finish, the sales men was not to be trusted and so was dismissed, the new sales guy tried his best but also lied said he had call and hadn’t. I would not recommend this garage and to be honest if they pride themselves on customer care they all need to be retrained. The experience was a complete disgrace. Left waiting for over an hour to collect car due to being short staffed. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Very poor communication, twice we have had cars damaged when they have been into to the Leicester workshop, nobody ever put there hands up to say sorry we have damaged your car, they wait for you to tell them hoping they will get away with t and when you do tell them be prepared to keep chasing them for a repair date. I have a new kadjar there are so many rattles in the car it is untrue, but low and behold Renault can never find any rattles, um, so when I get in the car after you have dropped it back at my house the rattle only starts for me or is it that Renault really cant be bothered to sort it, I go to work I don't have time to keep going backwards and forwards heaven help me if I dare to ask anybody to look at it on a Saturday when it is convenient for me, worst customer service I have ever come across ????????????

This is a 2nd year update having contacted renault Leicester to do a mot and brake flush on my kadjar this garage is the best I’ve ever been to for service.Gail on the service desk was very efficient and kept me updated thro the time I was there and very friendly too.while waiting for my car to be done I spoke with several members of staff in used and new car departments who are nice people.Nothing is too much trouble for any members of staff there.well done renault Leicester.

When I took it in for the repair same young man served me, quick, efficient and had my car ready for me in time for when I needed it. They even cleaned and hovered the car for me, very impressed as wasn't expecting that. Overall very happy with the service. Thank you

We found a car we liked on internet and booked appointment for next morning when we arrived we were greeted professionally and offered drinks the car wasn't quite ready but we were put at ease by Simon and the sales manager straight away and agreed to go back at lunchtime when we got back Car was pristine. And me and my partner pretty much decided to buy it however Simon insisted we went for a pretty long test drive which we did as the car was a Vauxhall and the service light was on they advised we didn't take car until they had done full service which they are in the process off doing I can't thank them enough and would recommend this group off people and the garage very highly at no point did I feel pressured in anyway and everything was explained to us in full detail however we already had the money so didn't need there finance a great experience from start to finish

The sales team at Leicester Renault are not to be trusted. Think again before spending your money! I’ve been lied to by numerous members of their sales team over the last few months about the details of my deal in order for them to make the sale. Eg. Was told my car would be ready in 2 weeks. Waited over a month in the end. £10,223 was taken from my account because Renault failed to settled my finance agreement on time like they promised. Was misinformed more times than I can count of the details of my deal then told the correct information last minute AFTER I’d signed. Also when I finally got my “brand new” vehicle it was dirty inside. Not what you’d expect a brand new car to look like. Scuffs on the interior and dirty and smear marks on the tech. Splatters on the exterior. I’m honestly really regretting not sticking with Mini my previous dealer. I’m not sure whether the team at Renault Leicester are just lazy, moronic or they just don’t care about the happiness of their customers. As long as they’ve made a sale they don’t care. I’ll be changing this car at my earliest connivence back to Mini as I’d rather have a used Mini that looks brand new and get all the perks of their excellent customer service than a brand new Renault Clio that looks used and be treated appalling by their staff. Save your time, money and stress and go with someone else!

Nice showroom but finding a parking space is a nightmare. Also it was a struggle to find a second hand car we came to see as it's absolutely rammed with cars plus they've got more in the outside compound which they cannot access on Sundays. Shane saved a day though, he's a great credit to the company. Ordered a car from them but due to circumstances out of our control had to cancel last minute. Once again Shane was very helpful. Will be coming back to purchase brand new on once we ready unless we find better deal through carwow.

I have just cancelled purchasing what would have been my 5th Renault car. I ordered the car being told it would arrive around the 10th July. We placed our order on the 12th May then I was told on the 11th June that my car was no longer available? I returned to the showroom on 14th of June to be told that the car I ordered was not under any circumstances being produced any more. So during our visit we looked at getting a Kadjar. There was 1 available, so we said we were interested and it was only slightly more expensive. The Salesman said he would pass on the information on Monday 17th to secure the Kadjar. Then on the 18th I received a phone call saying my original Captur is now Miraculously being made and the Kadjar has gone up by an extra £50 a month. The original Captur would now be delivered at the end of August if we were lucky. On Thursday my wife called to cancel the whole order and get our deposit back to be told even if we agreed to pay the extra for the Kadjar it had already been sold. So after 20 years of being with Renault we are going to look elsewhere, your loss!! Totally gutted and disappointed because I have always liked the cars I have purchased.

SHOCKING!! THE STORY OVER 2 WEEKS, SOON TO BE 3!! Took Work Vehicle in for service and minor repairs.....A week later we get vehicle back, to find dashboard showing multiple warning lights, and no sign of the complementary wash and vacuum!! Rang Friday 2.8.19 to find out why the van hasn't been looked at properly.....But after being put on hold for 20 mins and still no response gave up!! will contact again today 5.8.19!! Got through on the Monday....to be told its going to be 2 weeks before we can get you back in to sort the stuff we didn't sort the 1st time!! absolutely terrible service!! i now have a van off the road, not earning money because of your incompetence!! and guess what?? The complaints email address they post in there reply, is undeliverable lol suprise suprise

Parts are hopeless. Tried to order order a new wheel for my car. First of all was offered a stock order which is 2 days? when asked about whether they did Vehicle off road order I was told that yes they did. I asked about cost and was told it was the same price. Therefore stock order is wa swindle and money making exercise at the customer's expense. I then said yes to the quote as I need on as my car is off the road and I need it up and running as soon as possible. I was told that they don't do payment over the phone. Utterly hopeless and completely unhelpful.

Was sold a Renault Dacia Step-way - had the engine light on within my first 7days of owning my brand new vehicle. Since has had two new steering locks and the current one is broke!! To add to this my car is now out of warranty and the stop/start starter motor needs replacing to be told I can order one which they can not tell me when it will arrive!!! I am currently paying for a car on finance that could be off the road for months. I can not even end my credit agreement as the car needs to be road worthy??? How do u fix a car that Renault is struggling to get the part for??? Absolute joke!! I’m never buying a Renault car again!! Tried contacting manufacturer either closed or on hold for hours!!!

Hi, it was going well until I was told my car was ready so came in to collect. I was then told it was just being washed and just be ready in 5 minutes. Nearly an hour later I was still sitting waiting. When I went up and asked what was happening, I was told the car was ready and I was basically forgotten about.

Staff were as helpful as they could be but a lack equipment hampered the service and for my cars m.o.t Renault Leicester could not get the E.V. tires for my ZOE. I could not leave the car their because there was no courtesy car available ( I live in Coventry ) even though this was a pre-booked appointment and the potential need for a courtesy car was raised. I now have a car that has failed its M.O.T. and I have to source the tyres myself!!!!! I will sell my car and have nothing to do with Renault again.

Just went for a looksee initially, Was impressed by very pro staff and liked the car they showed me, Bought it so Nuff said. Update, the little Sandero has a .9litr petrol engine which thinks its a 1.6 turbo, Very comfy handles light and quick, brakes excellent as are the headlights, air con is useful 5door 5 seater a little noisy on bad surfaces but for less than 7K a bargain.
