Very disappointed. Have been a long time member of premium care and question the alleged benefits. Suffered a suspension problem while in Lismore NSW, pulled to the side of the road and contacted NRMA road service at 1115 am. Spoke to a female person who told us that the tow truck would be about 2 hours and was asked were I would like my vehicle to be taken for repair. I informed her that I was not from the area and asked her advice. I was given to contact details of an Automotive Group and was told to give them a call and see wether they could repair vehicle. A person from this business informed me they could not help me. Meanwhile my daughter with her two small children (3 and 5 months) was searching for businesses in the area they may be able to assist. I call the NRMA road service line again and spoke to a different female person who also stated that I should look up businesses in the area that may be able to repair my vehicle. I once again informed her that I was not from the area and had no idea of what businesses were available. I had informed both these person/s that I was with Premium Care and was then transferred through to Premium Care. My daughter and her two small children had left at this point in time as they had become increasing restless. The tow truck driver had arranged for a taxi to attend our location and for the Patrol person to attend and take possession of my keys. I had spoken to TJM Off Road by this point in time and was informed that they may not be able to look at my vehicle until the next morning. 1 hour and 24 minutes later I was answered! My phone was running low at this point and I was worried that my phone would go flat and I would be stuck. The operator's name was Kerry and I stated that I found it appalling to have waited so long and wished when we had finished to speak to a supervisor. I finished my conversation with Kerry and was waiting when the Taxi attended. The Patrol person had not attended at this time so we requested the Taxi to wait while we tried to contact the Patrol person as the Taxi wanted to go. During this time I located the problem with my vehicle and informed TJM who stated that they may be able to repair the vehicle this date. My wife contacted NRMA and stated that the Taxi needed a reference number or he would leave. After about 15 minutes later the Patrol person arrived and took possession of my keys. We then left the area in the Taxi and went to accommodation that we had arranged while waiting to be answered by Premium Care. Some time later to her credit Kerry from Premium Care called and we told her that we wished to lodge a complaint stating our disgust of the lack of service. Kerry stated that she would lodge a complaint and I requested a contact that I could lodge my complaint with. Overall the whole experience was dismal I would not recommend anyone to NRMA Premium care. The first two contact person/s we spoke to from Road service lacked knowledge, understating and any sympathy to our situation. There seemed to be a total lack of organisation skill or per planning from NRMA with regard to the volume of calls due to the school holidays. We lost the whole day and had to pay an overnights accommodation through what I would regard as incompetence. Out of this total mess credit must go to the tow truck driver and Kerry from Premium Care for following up after the event.

Tried to sign up when the car wouldn't start, agreed on price and payment option and then the phone disconnected. Called back twice to get through and now a different story on payment option! If you don't have the roadside support already in place and you need someone to come out asap then it's a $200 fee! Very upsetting and frustrating call. Went with another provider in the end that was cheaper and someone came out straight away for half the cost.

I rang this morning to cancel my classic care on one of my vehicles. I have held membership with the NRMA for 37 years and I was told that I would have to pay for the cancelled membership for the next 11 months. What a rip off for a loyal customer. But wait there is more, I changed over my comprehensive car insurance from the NRMA on 2 vehicles to another insurer and saved $650 per year. Very disappointing the way NRMA are treating their long term customers

Great service, I recently had a tyre puncture and within 15 minutes of me requesting assistance through the app the guy turned up. This was also during peak hour (admittedly not very "peak" due to COVID). I was back on the road within 30 minutes. I wasn't even late to work! Every time I call them they are polite and professional over the phone.

NRMA made it easy, when I needed to call them out because my car battery had thrown in the towel. Greeted by a polite, professional, man who went on to test the battery, and providing diagnostic on what was happening. I decided to have him change the battery on location. Battery was reasonably priced, and was fitted in next to no time (he even managed to not reset my electronics, by maintaining power during the swap). Thank you!

Review your roadside assistance package and check what towing limitations exist. One of our riders got a flat tyre 20kms out of Gloucester. We were lucky it was 20kms as this was the limit they go to recover you. Plus they would only tow him a max of 20kms. If you need to be towed home it’s $5.00 per kilometer! OUCH When the tow truck arrived the old fella was rude and arrogant. He complained that he was set up to tow cars not bikes. He had a negative attitude. Then when the bike was eventually loaded, he refused to take the rider in the truck back to town, despite us advising NRMA that he did need transport. He said the rider needed to find his own way back to town. Check your roadside package and confirm what’s included.

I tried to cancel my membership which was only 4 months of my membership with them. They asked me to pay for whole one year. No refund was given. Please read the T&Cs properly before you sign the contract otherwise you might get robbed as me. Stay safe people.

Worst experience ever. Went to cattai national park yesterday 05/10/2020 with my family n friends. My car broken down ( flat battery)and requested NRMA roadside assistance via app at around 5 pm . By the time NRMA (93 NRMA) arrived at around 5.40 pm the park gate was closed and we stuck inside of the park .My friend calledpark help line to open the gate but NRMA refused to enter the park and said they cannot get in unless they get a exit code in advance to get out and about to leave saying he will go now if we dont provide him the exit code ASAP. ( park help line saying they can’t provide it andwill reopen when the job done). So we told him we will have to advice police if he goes as we have kids including 6 month old baby stuck inside of the park . Then he stopped and went inside of park and jump start my car and advised me to check my car 2 hours before I plan to Leave in future. I have been using NRMA for past 10 years with comprehensive insurance and maintaining two car through their road side assistance. Such a rude and bad customer service .Would not expect that behaviour from a renowned company like NRMA and have been thinking to reconsider of keeping my NRMA membership and insurance.

Great service to have. I have used these guys on multiple occasions for my personal car aswell as the work vehicle. Always a great outcome and very knowledgeable mechanic's. You need to remember that they do not have an entire workshop at their disposal. They will beable to get you out of a small problem however if you have a major issue they won't beable to much. They will tow your vehicle to your desired location though.
