Not a good evening for Sainsburys Vauxhall
Car had crashed into entrance /exit to car park, traffic lights demolishing them and making it difficult to get in and out
Once inside the up moving walkway was broken and engineers working on it for hours and had to board up part of glass side
And both lifts not working, staff not very helpful to shoppers who had to walk up and few of them around as most outside with car crash situation

My online order didn't turn up on the night expected with no communication at all to explain why. After three very long wait-time phone calls to customer services over the following 24 hours, each time being promised it was being redelivered within the next two hours it had still failed to turn up. I ended up cancelling the order and still await a refund. I'm recovering from hip surgery so had hoped to rely on Sainsburys delivery to eat, now I have to make other arrangements. I understand things go wrong with delivery chains but the complete lack of communication and broken promises once I had sat through the lengthy customer services call queue will make me seriously consider never using Sainsburys delivery service ever again. Poor show.

Went in on Saturday, being careful for ourselves and others by wearing a mask covering our nose and mouth - sprayed down the trolley handle with the provided disinfectant.
However, walking around the store, I noticed quite early on that staff weren't wearing protection. No gloves, no masks.
I was in the store for around an hour and I only saw 2 members of staff with face masks on. Not even the manager had a mask on.
These staff members handle food - It should be mandatory. We're in the middle of a pandemic, so there are no excuses!
Sainsbury's are a big enough company to provide face masks to their employees - The funny thing was that the tannoy kept playing a soundbite saying that they're doing everything they can to keep customers feeling safe during these times.... Clearly not.

I often do not do negative reviews, however, I feel as if these past few months call for one. Each time I visit this store, I have a large grocery list. I always pay at the end with a receipt to prove it.
However, I am met with migroagression and hostility from security and self-check out staff. I am often looked at up and down and watched closely as if I am stealing. This has been a disgusting experience knowing that I am a Black American and come to a place to buy food/necessities as a student, but treated as if I cannot afford the items I am purchasing.
More than once, Maria - a worker at the self-check out line, has eyed me down and even communicated to other staff members to keep an eye on me. I personally witnessed this happening several times.
Today, a female Security officer followed me around the store to THREE different areas and then met me at the self-check out as if I did not have the capacity to pay for my food.
I feel disheartened by my experience at Sainsbury and studying abroad. This store is convenient to reach and get to, however each and every time the staff at the self-check out have met me with silent hostility. In a way, I believe that there needs to be a Diversity training. The people who were doing this were also mainly BAME workers - this is why I am confused.
I think it is important to fully train your staff to ensure that they do not assume every person coming in is a thief. My experience was so negative over the past few months that it makes me never want to return to even buy basic necessities.

A very easy store to browse. The habitat section of the store is limited in range and ability. The Argos is like normal. Overall it's an easy shopping experience. Clean and comfortable

Great large sainsburys with everything you pretty much need for home. I just left one star out because there are alot of stuff thats not stocked up adequately....especially the clothing lots of sizes sold out & still not replenished after one week.

The area around this supermarket it's absolutely filthy with litter, employees congregate around the entrance smoking and just chuck their cigarette butts on the floor. What a mess.

Absolutely love this store. They have the best selection of food, wine and home goods along with a welcome Argos. Visiting this store is a joy and a cuppa upstairs is always part of the trip. Really liking the new self scan concept. Makes shopping so much quicker for us a family who are always short of time.

I am thoroughly disappointed with how Sainsbury's is not enforcing the mask rules in their stores and customers are being let in without having masks on. I have witnessed people coughing near and on the vegetables and I am now turned off of shopping in Sainsbury's for the forseeable future.

To be honest, one of the better sainsbury's I've been in. Simple layout which makes for a easy shopping experience as you flow from aisle to aisle. Parking is ample with electric points on the lower ground pretty clean and most staff are friendly. Toilets are pretty clean which always says a lot about any establishment. You wanna know a place, check the toilets, if they make an effort there then you know the rest is good! So why only 3 stars I hear you ask... -1 star for only some member of staff, mostly the young generation lot. I'm in there a quite often and more than one occasion I've over heard staff moaning about different things about the work place which of course should not be discussed on the shop floor amongst customers. And a couple times some very heated arguments amongst themselves. But there are some really good ones in there too so not discriminating all of them. And sometimes in the evenings when your in there for a late shop it's like an assault course trying to manoeuvre around boxes and packaging and all sorts of delivery stuff laid across the floors blocking the aisles, I mean even Bear grylls will have a tough time breaking this maze. They need a health and safety course!
-1 another star a lot of the time not enough stock, I've gone in sometimes around 8pm and its empty, I mean nothing. I know it's just after the finish work rush but knowing this is happening often you would imagine they would of got a grip on it by now and be well prepared for the next wave of customers who finish work later and need a shop. So, overall it is a great shop but just needs a bit more tweaking to be perfect.

Huge supermarket with almost all groceries that are needed. Also includes some clothing items and an adequate selection of homewares. Staff have been helpful during Covid-19 months, enforcing social distancing, queues, disinfecting surfaces etc.

Sat early afternoon and no boneless joint of lamb at the butcher's counter, "maybe tomorrow". If they can't get their stock right for a Sat then when can they?
On self check out only 2 of the 4 scanner machines were working then the till roll failed on ours.
After 5 min waiting with the attendant trying to fix it we gave up leaving the queue behind us with 1 working til.
Staff good but management need a shake up!
Happy to give my nectar card if you want to follow this up....

Given were are in lockdown, This supermarket handled customers well and we got everything we needed. Like the Sushi inside and the self checkout was efficient. Shame the fresh fish was closed but we understand why.

Really like this Sainsbury's. Nice and modern with self scanners. Has with a Tu store inside so you can by handy bits for your home. Also has an Argos inside so can pick up more furniture or anything else you need. I like the cafe and Starbucks where you can enjoy free wifi with your 3 hours free parking
