Back again at this training centre. The courses are very well run with good practical examples, though occasionally not quite advanced enough. The trainers are friendly and knowledgeable, many of whom are Adobe specialists. The office is located a short walk from Waterloo station with plenty of nearby outlets to grab some lunch. Docking just one star as historically the training rooms have been exceptionally warm.

Paid for a 2 part course, of which the second part they never delivered. They don't respond to my emails or calls and are making zero attempt to rectify a service they promised but are unable to offer.

The worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I'm fortunate that, instead of coming out of my own pocket, my employer paid for me to attend an Academy Class course.
One of the biggest USP's for the course was the promise that I'd be given a chance to gain a UX certification (which you can only get from a couple of course providers). However, Academy Class lost the exam papers and have been incredibly rude in dealings with me - even having the gall to say that they held up their end of the bargain as I sat the exam as promised. Totally shocking and unprofessional behaviour from a company running professional courses.
Not only have they been needlessly rude, but they’ve completely ignored several of my emails, and have stopped replying altogether.
Everyone makes mistakes, and I would be completely understanding if they had turned around and apologised for getting it wrong. What I can’t believe is that their response has been to be incredibly rude, and completely ignore affected clients.
All they needed to do was to be decent, apologise for the mistake and offer to refund the cost of taking the exam - but instead they've acted like complete conmen.

The UX/UI course was pretty good. The course was sold to us saying we would get a certification. We did the test and have never received our results. Academy Class now just ignore my emails rather than give any insight as to what they are going to do about our "lost exam papers". Awful customer service when you need it.

I was beyond impressed. I did the Digital Publishing Suite 101 and 201 courses combined at the Waterloo training centre. My instructor Paul was immensely knowledgeable, and the set up caters for a variety of learning styles which is SO important. For example, next to each delegate's screen there is second screen which mirrors the instructor's, so that you can watch him go through the actions, while you listen to him talk through it, and then do it yourself. Very, very well thought out and very effective.

Great teacher, had an answer for every question I threw at him. Made it interesting to learn. I read amazing reviews about Academy Class and finally experienced them for myself. I have done the same course somewhere else and was left not knowing how I could actually use the info given, but after doing 5 days at Academy Class I was in love with the software and have been practising every day to get to a professional standard. THANKS Academy class YOU ROCK!!

I first met Academy Class at Cross-Media 2013. I was very pleased with the understanding they had of my business and how they could help overcome any issues I was having.
Since then I have been on two training courses (which I couldn't recommend enough) and have more planned. I can only comment on the social media side of things currently; but it's inspiring and actually gives you solutions.
I have found everyone to be really friendly and approachable.

I really won't go anywhere else for my training. The guys at Academy Class are fantastic and really do offer a great service, the tutors really do their best to go into the required depth of the course (and more) while trying to maintain a pace which suits everyone in the classes. I have always found them to be very professional and very supportive too. Their knowledge of the products is fantastic and it really comes across when sharing not only how to use the products but also about workflows and best practice when working with software. I am very much looking forward to progressing my skills with Academy Class going forward.

From the point of researching on the website though to leaving with my certificates, I cannot praise the whole academy team enough. Very helpful, approachable and knowledgeable.
As a complete novice to the program I trained on, I was welcomed, not judged and the speed of learning just right with all individuals supported in the group. I have come away with a new skill and know that the support is still there whether by email or phone.

I done the Adobe Illustrator zero to hero in February - the trainer Mark was fantastic. Small class sizes mean you can get 1-1 attention and go over things a few times. The venue is good, they provide luncheon vouchers and unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits

Academy Class is an excellent training centre. All the trainers are not only extremely knowledgeable about their subjects, but they are also extremely friendly and helpful.
Through Academy Class' practical teaching method, I was able to learn subjects that I thought I would never learn in less than a week!
Highly recommended to anyone wishing to study a course they provide.

From initial contact Academy Class were extremely supportive and patient. Roberto was very helpful and eventually I opted for the Adobe Illustrator course in Glasgow and was not disappointed.
The trainer, David Smith, certainly knew what he was talking about and guided us through different scenarios, exploring the design tools, and finally really getting a handle on creating designs.
Only thing that could have been improved - it would have been nice to have taken away some kind of quick step-by-step guide for the things we had done so that we can try them again in our own time.

I was sent to the Academy Class training to learn Cinema 4D. I had a basic understanding of the course but at the end of the 3 days I really understood it a lot more with the help of the instructor who not only took us through the complex interface but answered any personal questions we had.
He was patient and very knowledgeable of the software which I found extremely helpful. I'd recommend Academy Class to anyone interested in what they have to offer!

I attended the Premier Pro Rookie Course with no knowledge of video editing what so ever. The 3 days were very informative and jam packed with a learning! I am now producing Product/Tutorial videos for customers.

Academy class has state of the art facilities and combined with the highly skilled trainer Michael Nugent, these sessions have been a great learning experience. The trainer had an all-inclusive knowledge in the subject and continuously checked we had a full on understanding for every topic. The course generally had a relaxed and friendly feel, which made it easier and less stressful to ask questions with lots of opportunities for help and guidance about your individual work related complications - spanning from lighting design to kitchen manufacturing! I would definitely recommend Academy Class a top training institute with no hesitation.

I attended Black Belt Photoshop course and was surprised by the endless knowledge of our teacher of all print and digital.
The short course was extremely well planned and supplied you with absolutely everything you needed. Another plus is you could freely ask about any doubts you had on other matters and all answers were answered. Very much enjoyed it, and would recommend it!

I have just completed the Adobe Green Belt Premier Pro CS6 course and I have to say that the Academy class tutor Nigel Honey was brilliant. His patience was neverending and he made sure that all of his students knew and were confident with the software by the end of the course. I am now an Adobe Certified Associate after passing the exam which I successfully passed with flying colours thanks to the training Academy Class provided. Their instructions of how to get on there on the day were clear and concise and the staff were always tremendously helpful whenever I had a problem. If ever I need training again to help me with my profession I will make Academy Class my first port of call.

I took the AutoCAD rookie 101 course at the Manchester branch and found it to be both comprehensive and thorough. Our tutor, Simon, covered all the aspects to lay a firm foundation to build upon and I will be attending the intermediate next.

Academy Class is a brilliant provider of training; the trainers have a wealth of knowledge and information, and the courses are done practically ensuring you get first-hand experience of what it is you are learning. The trainers are also knowledgable around the subject area; they use the software and know its strengths and weaknesses, they also know quick-fixes, other tools available, and wider research and literature surrounding the topic. I was really impressed and would highly recommend.

I took the illustrator rookie 101 course and it has boosted my knowledge massively, I can now do a wider range of tools in illustrator and have a better understanding of the dreaded 'layers'! The teacher was superb and never went to fast so everyone could keep up! cant wait for the advanced course.

Review for After Effects Course.
The course was well structured. Everything was set up and ready to go the moment you entered the classroom.
It was well laid out with a screen between two to follow the instructor and a computer each to have a go at each section. (I was even emailed prior to the course asking which computer platform I preferred.)
The instructor was keen and had excellent knowledge. He was always willing to answer any questions and to get hands on if any of the group started having problems or losing there way.
The only downside was that the computers weren't the most powerful so rendering and viewing your work could be a bit tedious.
All in all an excellent course, it was easy to follow and you came away believing you were able to produce decent quality work in After Effects.

Just completed the 3D maxs training and the training was excellent. I went from knowing nothing to being bale to confidently navigate my way through the software and complete complex tasks that I could not do before.

I went for a beginners Javascript course and got exactly what I was looking for. We got a bit of history and completed a small project which covered all of the fundamentals. More importantly though, we were shown some of the best places online for further reading and discovering new information.

I recently attended a Bespoke After Effects Training class in their Glasgow office. Those attending the course (4 people) were at various ability levels in AE, but the course tutor structured the class in a way that everyone was able to improve their skills and learn new techniques at the right level and speed for them. The tutor was extremely knowledgeable in AE and created a fun and friendly, professional environment in which to learn. You acquire useful and impressive skills & techniques that can be applied to any project. I would not hesitate to go on another Academy Class course and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in improving their skill set in post production.

I first came to Academy Class years ago at their previous location in Waterloo as they had a quality brand and reputation. Now they have seemed to downgrade in many ways. Their new office is much more sub standard. Rooms are too hot but too noisy to open windows. The first course I attended although good, the tutor started teaching late from talking and finished early and i think we could have fitted more content. The second Illustrator course had a fantastic tutor, i highly recommend her and maximum use of time was given. Also they started giving free fruit but have taken that away on my second course. They also provided lunch on first course but now give a £3 voucher that you cant buy a full lunch for, and you are forced to go to a poor quality cafe that i would never choose to eat at. Ive got 4 days worth of training left and who knows what else will get cut. Im disappointed in many ways, it seems they are trying to cut costs at every opportunity which is a shame as ive had to personally pay so much money for these courses. I must say the staff are all helpful and lovely.

On my course Adobe Premiere Pro Rookie 101 (in Manchester) I was especially impressed with the level of knowledge of my instructor Alex. He had a deep understanding of the program, its capabilities and it's interface, yet he was able to express this in simple ways so that the whole class understood the activity and no one was left behind. His humor and fun choice of material made the classes far more interesting and enjoyable.

Fantastic courses couldn't recommend them more.
I've had the same instructor for both and I've learnt more in a few days then I could on my own. The course goes at a pace which suits all users and the practice examples they use cover a lot of different techniques.

Have recently undertaken both the 201 Green Belt courses in InDesign and Illustrator. The tutor was excellent, and covered topics thoroughly and at a steady pace. Topics were revised throughout the 3-day course to ensure effective learning and preparation for the Adobe Certified exam.
Overall a very worthwhile few days, which will help me, achieve a great deal more from the programmes I use in a professional capacity.

I took both the Photoshop 101 Rookie class and the 201 Hotshot course and was incredibly happy with both. All of the people at Academy Class were incredibly helpful and went out of their way for you to get the most out of the course. I was a complete beginner when I took the course and my tutor Mark Gatter was excellent. He had unlimited patience with beginners but would also never say no to a challenge and balanced the different class abilities very well. There was also a lot of learning support for you to take away after the class had finished. You were allowed to take all the material you had worked with, got given the best text book and very good notes from the tutor. All in all I enjoyed my week immensely and hope to come back soon to do the advanced course.

Photoshop 101 & 102 - excellent teacher, really knew his stuff and several ways of doing the same thing enabling each person to learn their own way.
Was very patient and had no problem re-visiting any area more than once.
I really felt that I learnt as much as I could during the week. Would recommend the course to anyone else.

Machines are brand new and super effecient. No time wasting at all and even answered some questions relating to my own personal needs with the software. Would highly recommend! Can fault anything and that is rare! 10/10 :-)
