Was nice in older times but now getting a bit tired. The Mayor used to boast about the largest roofed market in Europe but don't think he will be repeating that. Maybe Leicester money is being spent on the wrong projects.

Large selection of mainly fruit and veg stalls but many other goods available including,clothing, Caribbean foods and spices,greeting cards,and secondhand items,on the downside ive found heavy bags full of potatoes etc can be a bit of a lug back to the car park,it would be nice if more parking was available a bit closer

I think pork is cheap. £5 /kg for lean meat. Meat only mutton£10/kg. Small ripe papaya 3 for 50p.

My feelings towards Leicester Market are somewhat ambiguous. On the one hand I quite like the idea of a fresh produce market in the middle of a town/city, but this one makes the Bridge Street market look like Harrods.
And there is The Corn Exchange Lloyds Bar, which has the type of clientele that has double voddy with a pint a Carling for breakfast - looks pretty bad but mostly harmless, though.
From carpets to bananas, from novelty tobacco tin boxes with weed leaves painted on them to vintage Nintendo games, name it you can buy it here.
My personal favourite stall used to be the gentleman selling vinyl records on Tuesdays, could spend ages just browsing there.

Visiting from London n this market made me surprise. Biggest ever market i ever have seen. Hundreds of stalls for fruit, veg, clothes, crafts, arts n many more. U have plenty of choices under one roof.

Good range and prices. Fruit and veg of the season. Careful with what you buy as some produce can be over ripe. A lot of what you buy needs to be eaten quickly.

Leicester market has plenty of good produce but the customer service from a few stall holders is unpleasant. Fortunely you do also find lovely stall holders like the new Italian stall holder Mr P Garcia who was friendly and had great customer service! The cherries on his stall were excellent will definitely buy from him again! 5* for Mr Garcia 4* overall.

I love going to the market i go to my regular stalls for my fruit and rizlas every week just about ive been doing it for yrs and they are all so helpfull and respectable they always know wat i want and remind me incase i forgot something and always ask how i am i would tell all friends to go there keep it up guys ur doing a great job xx
