Tasty and good quality fish and chips, and nice venue/location.
The only negative is that you have to pay for little plastic sachets of ketchup, mayonnaise etc. Most fish and chip shops offer this for free and its needless plastic waste

The food here is fantastic and we are delighted to have a first rate local chippy. However the restaurant service was HORRENDOUS. We dined with our 2 kids and grandparents for an early dinner. We were told there was no table service until 6pm as they were not officially open but we could sit down and order from the counter ourselves. That was fine by us. However when I asked for a bottle of ketchup at 5 minutes to 6 I was told I would have to buy the sachets at 35p each as the restaurant was not open. I commented that that was a bit ridiculous as we would just wait 5 minutes. The response from the manager (?) was to argue with me and ask whether I had any experience running a restaurant, that she had to pay staff wages etc! Over a couple of squirts of ketchup when we spent nearly £50 on the meal! I said that we lived less than 100m away on Camberwell Grove and that treating customers in this way might be a little short sighted! More argument followed. No apology. We ended up picking up our food and walking out to eat at home. Kids crying etc etc. Truly bizarre experience. Sort your act and attitude out. Food is terrific; don't alienate all your customers. I have now taken to telling all my neighbours on Camberwell Grove about the experience.

Wonderful addition to Camberwells' eateries. This is the best fish and chip shop for miles. Lovely salads, excellent pies and sausages with line caught fish. Lovely to sit outside with friends watching the world go by.

Unfortunately, my Mother and I received some poor quality customer service. My mum asked the person serving our food to transfer our orders to paper bags. Not only did he do this with an attitude but he added both portions of chips into one bag and slung it on the counter to reflect his frustration, this was after trying to debate with her. There is more but this is by far the most unreasonable customer service we have encountered and because of this, we will not be returning. Also, the food also was not the best in terms of taste although it was still hot dispite multiple transfers.

I've been to Fladda a few times now, four times at the takeaway and three times in the restaurant. The food is generally excellent and knowing that you don't mind waiting a few minutes at the takeaway for your freshly cooked fish and chips. The restaurant, while cosy and nicely appointed, is a bit expensive once you start adding extras such as drinks and dessert. The atmosphere is good with background music not being intrusive. The service in my experience is very good. It is great to have a quality fish and chips restaurant/take away in the area once again. Best buy is the yummy fish bites and chips for £4!

This place used to be great. Now the prices have gone up, the fish was orange, chips reheated and they no longer accept cards. Bring back the original Fladda team!

Best fish and chips in miles and the ancho mayo is a cracker! Fish bites and chips (£4) is hands down the best value-for-money meal in the area. Good deal in the restaurant too, which is only open in the evening. Take away cod and chips is £8.50/ eat-in is £9.50, but included you get table service, homemade tartare sauce and a bottle of Heinz tomato sauce on the table (which makes it cheaper than taking it away!)

Gone downhill since new management. The food has gone from outstanding to average but the price has remaining the same. My wife and I used to eat here twice s month for a treat but we won't be returning anymore, pity we'll miss Fladda.

Sorry if I started the review in this way but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anything thing, this little place tick all the boxes, I had a fish and chips and after 20 years I live in London, I have call it THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS I had so far, for drink I had a house wine , do you know what ..? I’m from Piedmont north Italy , this wine made feel at home because is the the most popolar wine of the Piedmont, I used to drink everyday with my family. Thank you Fledda to make had this experience.
