The best experience with a vet clinic you can ever imagine. Everything is excellent about this place: - hospitality and support from staff - Knowledge, skills and expertise of doctors - Range of services - Flexibility to schedule a visit I especially want to say thank you to Dr Rosana for going above and beyond supporting us in a cancer fight. I don't know if we would be able to go through that without you.

We went to MediVet Hydepark to take our little furrball peanut for his first health check and vaccine. Our Vet was Pablo Tobio, who is a very honest and kind vet. From the past I am so used to vets just wanting to do tons of unnecessary tests that costs a fortune. I lived in the US and had a dog there, I also have two family dogs in Germany. So for the past 14 years I’ve came across a lot of “bad” vets. Not Pablo Tobio , he didn't want to rush doing all tests at once. With the first test he already discovered the issue. He explained everything with so much care & detail. He put our dog on medication and 1/4 way in the treatment, our dog is already looking so much better. Thank you! LV

Pablo, the doctor of this vet, is super kind and you can feel he takes well care of animals. He always remember the last appointment information and attends amazingly. It is clear he prioritizes the animals and the customers over formalities, which is always nice. It is my reference vet because of him.

I have been dealing with Pablo Tobio & Laura Raucea over the past three or four visits and have been impressed with both. They evidently thought through problems my dog was having and communicated they’re thoughts effectively, making it possible for me to make the right decisions. Very impressive, very likeable snd they both gave time & thought that is rare these days.

All three vets I've seen (Andrew, Mat and Amanda) have been so thorough and kind while dealing with my dog's mysterious limp. It has always been easy to get an appointment, and everyone I have dealt with at the practice has been friendly and helpful.

I cannot recommend Dr. Pablo Tobio enough for his efforts in diagnosing and treating our cat, who had been misdiagnosed by many other vets for months. He’s very thorough in his explanations, always making sure you understand exactly what’s happening.

Very simple, the reasons has a name Pablo Tablo, after being a regular at the surgery from Mr Robinson the original owner, Andrew Prentis the second and Medivet last, for the first time I meet such a professional, caring, loving , dedicated golden heart with so much love for our furry friends. Kikko ( my King Charles Cavalier Spaniel) and myself would like to say A BIG THANK YOU Pablo !!!! God Bless you. Marina Calliari Lalani xxx

Very professional , Medivet did in depth look at our four year golden retriever health , the way Roxanne read our pet report , she was well versed in his condition like she knew him his entire life. Medivet are extremely professional , it was our first time coming to this practice and we are very happy with the service.

I have 2 mini schnauzers that Jessica has groomed for the last 2 years. We are very very happy they way they are groomed. Jessica listened to the way we wanted our girls groomed and does an amazing job every time. They even get a little treat after they are finished. I highly and without reservation recommend Jessica to care for your dogs grooming needs. Sincerely, Michael

Many thanks to the wonderful team! I called my regular vet during business hours on Friday as my dog had developed a huge lump right below her eye. I wanted her checked out that day as something was wrong and very out of the ordinary. My regular vet’s office staff refused to offer an appointment until Monday! We have been a client with them for 4 years. This clinic, who did not know us and was very busy that Friday themselves, got me an appointment. They even called to tell me I could come in earlier when they had a cancellation. The vet we saw, Dr. Odile, was thorough and patient with my skittish dog. She took one look and scheduled surgery for Monday and gave us medications to get us through the weekend. I was impressed at how thorough all the staff was on pick up and drop off on Monday. Both times I had a consultation in the room so I knew exactly what was going to happen, the costs, the follow up care and very detailed follow up directions. Fantastic service all around by everyone I met at this clinic! I am upset that my vet wouldn’t make time for my dog in an emergency, but very happy I found this team. Keep up the great work!

Issues: - Poor/Lack of Explanations from vet in regard to prescriptions and further management plan - ?Clinical competency On 23rd August, I had an appointment with Dr Jonnel Johnson for my cat’s unresolving skin symptoms. My cat was well in himself, but as skin symptoms did not seem to get better, antibiotics were prescribed - agreed. However, no cautions were given in regard to antibiotics (Co-Amoxiclav/Synulox) by Dr J Johnson, despite his first administration. Surely, prescribers are obliged to explain possible adverse effects and possible steps to be taken. This is ‘complete’ basic for a prescriber - With every medications, you should always explain route/possible side effects. The only information I had was ‘written warning about anaphylaxis reaction’ on prescription. Anyway, got home and ‘after’ two doses of antibiotics, my cat ‘became unwell’ - possible ‘severe’ GI adverse effects from antibiotics. He vomited throughout night over 6-7 times with ‘severely’ reduced appetite and movement. Also, skin symptoms seemed to be getting worse. I called the practice next day morning and spoke to a different vet, as Dr J Johnson was absent. I was advised to bring cat in again for Anti-emetics, if vomiting was not settling. As I stopped administration of Abx after 2nd dose, vomiting seemed to have settled for a few hours. I therefore asked for further Mx plan over the telephone: - ?Alternative pharmacological Mx as my cat is not tolerating Co-Amox PO (Oral) - Vet then advised me to administer ‘lower dose’ of same antibiotics. I was shocked. Even with human, if you are experiencing severe adverse effects, you stop. You do not administer lower dose. Exception applies to a few cases where benefits outweigh, but this was not the case. That advice was completely ignorant and I doubted vets’ clinical competency - I said, administrating lower dose is insane and asked for possible alternative routes of administration. Was advised to come in for injection form, which may last for 2 weeks in the system - Again, no further explanations were given. I asked, “So, that means the medicine will be in my cat’s metabolism for 2 weeks. What if he cannot tolerate? Can we reverse?” Then, she said, “Oh. um… no, we cannot reverse” So I asked, “Will injection form have similar possible adverse effects from oral form? Or, is the possibility less?” Then, she said “I don’t know, but you can try if you want” I got severely annoyed, so I asked if I could speak to a vet by myself - Then, she said “I am a vet” I understand that we always have uncertainty in medicine due to its nature. However, vets are responsible to explain about the progress and be honest about their uncertainty, if they do have. They cannot just neglect them. I understand that they are qualified vets, but I highly doubt their clinical competencies.

Having used two other Vets, this center is our favourite. The staff, both front and back office, deliver services with care that are a step above - more of a partnership in the care of our dogs.

My dogs have been clients of the Hyde Park Clinic for a number of years now. The treatment they receive is of the highest standard, the time and the care they put in to them is outstanding. The time and the care they put in to me is also outstanding. A demanding client, to say the least, I am always made to feel comfortable about asking questions and discussing the treatments my dogs will receive. I cannot recommend the team there highly enough.

The most important thing to me in this World is my 2 dogs. They've been with the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre for all their lives - 15 years now! They've received the most exceptionally first rate treatment from very caring staff and I'm so grateful that I was recommended to go here when they were puppies. This is particularly important to me now that they're older and need more gentle specialist care. The Hyde Park Veterinary Centre comes with my highest recommendation!!!!

Best dog groomer in London! Jess is a star. My dog can be rather stubborn and drag her heels if she doesn't want to do something but she happily follows Jess into the grooming salon. Bella suffers from skin allergies and Jess always asks what shampoo to use and has over the years suggested different products to help ease the itch. Bella gets a great cut and I am pretty sure catches a few winks as I've heard her snoring when I come to collect her- that is how calm she is about the whole thing! I recommend her to anyone who asks and cannot praise this place enough.

The best vet in London. Andrew is excellent with terriers, but my terrier adores Odile so ... we tend to go to her. I've recommended this vet to many people, and everyone who has switched to them gives them full marks and in turn recommends them. They have literally brought back to health some of my friends' dogs, which other vets had practically butchered. What more can anyone ask for from veterinarians? They heal animals and they do it well! They actively participate in local events - the Blessing of the Horses, the Connaught Street summer fair (their dog show is great fun) - and they are an integral part of the community. Their shop next door to the main practice has a great selection of food, treats, toys, and other animal accoutrements, which are well priced and not subject to the usual ridiculous mark-ups. Some humans are very enthusiastic about homeopathy and "alternative" treatments; I am not. Whilst it is wonderful that the Hyde Park Vets offer them for animals, they are also fine with animal owners who politely state that they don't want them.

The team are fantastic and really lovely. They always make Oscar my 2yo Schnauzer feel safe and calm. Dr Andrew Prentis is by far the best vet I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I particularly like the fact that the practise is pro raw feeding and also open to holistic practices.

I cannot comment on the veterinary clinic . I can however , comment on the grooming. Keep in mind ,margin of error is possible. Animals are kept in a small room and a series of cages are used to keeping them until pick up. Our dog came back with issues relating to grooming style( small holes in skin as well as scratches. It seems it’s a one off , but regardless -it happened and would advise to be careful .

These people are absolutely fantastic. The vets are some of the best ones in town and they have specialists visiting on set days as well - so they offer a very high level of all types of care. The store next door that they also own has all the top-notch petfood that I was looking for, super helpful advice on how to make my kitties be less stressed during their big move from San Francisco to London, and the service is once again really friendly and great. There's no way I would go anywhere else for my vet

My Pekingese boy Pancake and rescue dogs Google and Arlo are my absolute World. I am a Huge animal lover and look after my doggies more than myself! If you have an animal to look after, then it is crucial to care for them entirely. I have only ever trusted Jessica to groom and care for my canine kids so that's saying A Lot. She is the very best and most professional, caring Groomer in London. Nobody could possibly dispute that. I have had to move so many times to different areas in London due to personal reasons, Yet I always take my dogs to be groomed by lovely Jess in Hyde Park. I cannot possibly comprehend WHY somebody would write such a negative review - it is absurd and astonishing. I am true to my word and can say 100000% Jessica is a sensational Groomer and good person. The groomer needs to learn sensitivity. Had to take my dogs away without letting her touch them. I've been there b4 and noticed that she's very quick and works like a clock which is gr8 BUT dogs are not machines, they are like children with feelings and watching her drag my shaky and terrified dogs into the groom room - a place that must feel like prison to them, was too heartbreaking. I tried telling her to connect with them first b4 taking them in cos they're very sensitive and she looked at me like I was from a different planet. She then proceeded to tell me that I've got a problem, cos no one has ever complained b4. Really? Just bcos some dogs don't mind being dragged doesn't mean all dogs like it. Just bcos some people don't know what they want, doesn't mean some of us don't. Both my yorkies were terrified and shaking, she did not even notice this nor did she even stoop down to say hello to them when we walked in - she just dragged them as if they were sheep to slaughter. Like humans, all dogs are different and we must be mindful and conscious that, like us, dogs have emotions, their reaction is the only way they can express that to us. We're always dismissing their reactions and forcing our will onto them. Their emotions need to be valued and respected too. I'm never going back there again!

We live across the other side of London in EC1, yet still choose to travel to Hyde Park Veterinary Centre when our dogs need to see a vet. When walking along Connaught Street both our dogs (even Henry who has had a variety of things wrong with him and more than his fair share of treatment) drag us towards the practice as they are so keen get there and see Andrew or Odile! All of the staff have taken the time to get to know our dogs, which means that Florence and Henry are comfortable going there and look forward to being made a fuss of. We particularly like the holistic focus, which means we can use a mixture of both conventional and homeopathic medicine in treating any conditions / illnesses our dogs have had, as well as making use of other services like osteopathy. Service to date has been excellent. Whenever we have needed an appointment at short notice, we have always been fitted in, and the vets / nurses are a mine of useful information, e.g. how to feed a diet suited to your particular dog, and how to address behavioural issues. The out of hours service at Elizabeth Street is also good. Overall, we highly value the quality of care, knowledge and expertise, as well as the professionalism of the Hyde Part Veterinary Centre, and would not take our dogs elsewhere. PS they have a great doggy creche for small dogs, which Henry has been to and loved!

My Staffie May was recently diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma (a cancer effecting the joint in her front leg). Following diagnosis amputation was inevitable and it has been a terrible few weeks. Andrew, Odile and the team have been fantastic in looking after both of us! Only 2 weeks since the operation and May is back to her old self running around the park and being the center of attention! I am feeling much better to...... Very caring people who will go out of their way to make sure your pet gets the best treatment possible and you get the support you need as well! A combination of professionalism and humanity that is to be really recommended XXX
