Just received my gorgeous fabric from Fabrics Galore (I ordered online). I’d accidentally left a couple of fabrics off my first order so had to make a second. Bought on line for the first time, don't live in the area so won't be visiting any time soon sadly. I would make a special journey to see them. Hopefully when the virus situation has died down a bit. Lovely selection of fabrics looking forward to buying more to add to my stash. Thank you for my fabric it is lovely quality and despite the Covid19 situ, Royal Mail did a pretty good job in delivering quite quickly. I totally understand the Mail situation. One of my favourite shops ever! Great range of materials, the people working in there are both accommodating and not scaring/hoovering over you with questions "if you need help", but definitely available to help with a roll that's too high up or just some answers. Oh, and bonus! Every Monday morning, when I pass by and they have a van replenishing the stock...THEY ARE STILL OPEN!!! Did I mention that the prices are for every budget? Love it. (And no, I don't have any affiliation with them.)

Friendly staff.
Great range of fabrics.
I particularly enjoyed the mermaid print fabric for my own drag costume.
I’ve since recommended it to countless friends who have gone in for costume and fancy dress ideas but also professional and home furnishings.

Properly useless Company at every single level. All of my dealings with this motley crew have been frustrating at best. I cannot believe Companies as incompetent as this survive in this day and age. I have countless examples of their avoidance of their responsibilities and inability to sort things out. Avoid avoid avoid.

A REAL Haberdashery Shoppe
I've been sewing for years now. Then I took a break and joined the world of cheap clothes until today when I stroked a beautiful, cotton and linen fabric made crush proof by nylon. I've bought it and I'm making gorgeous cushions.
That aside, the advice and kindness and knowledge in that one shop, means you don't have to go anywhere else. Delighted to have found my shop!

The place has an impressive choice of fabrics and they are very reasonably priced. They also have lots of various accessories, etc. The staff is nice and helpful. The only downside is the size of the store. Very little space to move around if there is more than 2 people in the shop. Easy to miss on some great fabrics.

My long suffering husband and I made a detour on our way from Chelsea Flower Show to visit Fabrics Galore and it was so worth it ! He patiently waited outside for 1hour 20 mins on me so doesn't he deserve a thank you !!
I had a perfect time chatting to the staff and making up my mind what I should buy (not easy when you have no space in your hand luggage) . Although I work in a fabric shop I can justify buying in other shops when we don't have the same fabric !! The staff are so friendly and great for advice and I know we have great online shops but nothing beats feeling the fabric and pulling out the rolls. Wish they were closer to me but I am going to have to make do with seeing them at Shows up and down the country :)
