Probably bigger than the one in Watford. We went in to look at baskets for hampers, but the baskets they had were too small for what we wanted! Whilst there picked up an order which was quick, easy and safe.

Very bad customer services from a male manager and his accomplice female staff...female staff spoke minimal English.Very bad experience in front of other customers the way i was spoken to, all t to exchange an item. I was pleased and thankful that a female manager was very upset at their attitudes and behaviours especiall of the female accomplice, considering that this female manager sees me shopping there all the time. I gave two stars all because of two brilliant staff including a female manager and a gentleman staff and also because of most of the other staff i must say...these other staff are very customer services friendly. I now avoid shopping there as much as possible unless the other craft shops in the area not in stock of items i need which is very rare.There are a few other brilliant craft shops in the area

Two stars based greatly on the hostile customer service which was extended to me on 29/04/21 where upon entering the store, the young asian girl at the door conducting crowd control with her beeper rudely cut me off while I was trying to ask her about the location of a particular item in the store. I would've checked her on that bad attitude but I had a deadline. She must have thought that her and I were the same age! On the other hand, the cashiers at the two tills were very polite and displayed excellent customer service to everyone. Lastly, just about everything crafty that one can think of is in this store and the variety of items is amazing. Turned off by rude customer service...what a shame.

Placed order online outside shop as it said order would be ready within 1 hour as all items in stock in that particular shop.
Went to collection point 52 minutes later and was greeted my miserable little snotty young girl who told me "Nah, not recieved your order yet, will let you know by Email so come back then" and then proceeded to just shut the door !!
Another customer who was waiting giggled and said that was normal here !!! Charming.

The place looks ok inside, great customer service which is very valuable right now under COVID shoppings conditions. It was also the only branch within a 20mile radius around Basildon that had the Starwars theme sewing fabric my mother was after. I lived in Romford before, beautify location at the Brewery. Easy parking right in front. Can’t complain.

Useless, unless you want a ball of wool......went in to buy cricut maker worth 300 pound, the staff are clueless, 15 minutes waiting for staff to find it in the stick room, assure they didn't even know the product I was trying to buy, just walked out

Not good customer service today, rude till person, won't be using this store again, many stores cheaper than yours ask your staff to be more helpful, especially on the till, I was having a bad day, but one of the till staff couldn't even say hello to me, and then I was a but confused with what she was saying, rude and obnoxious, will be going to other art stores in future, boycott yours,

Wool choice is very limited, poor selection of patterns, the only ones available were dog-eared and well thumbed. Staff were not readily available in fact I ended up advising another customer on her yarn choice. Not recommended for serious knitters.

Hobbycraft had all the items my wife was looking for. We were on the point of ordering these from Amazon, but this is often a risk as you can't see the item. Glad we didn't and went to Hobbycraft instead.

The female I spoke to was not interested just kept saying she could not find my order without a number, when I said it had been paid she still was not interested , when I said I would phone head office she said OK do that and she put the phone down when I asked for her name, Head office were totally different they sorted it out with no problems

Well organised with a person at the front door 'directing traffic'. There are sanitisers for hands and baskets upon entering and it is all very clearly signposted as there have been redistribution of aisles and so on. The person at the till was very friendly and efficient.

Last Saturday I went to Hobbycraft in Romford and was helped by Jane who was not only so, so lovely - but extremely knowledgeable. She not only showed me to what I needed, she also educated me about products I didn't know about. She truly made this experience even better than what it would have been! Lovely store, good range of products and fantastic staff. Will be coming back.

One of my favourite shops. It has reduced in size as Thomas Cook is now part of the ground floor (1st floor is still Hobbycraft) but there's still plenty to look at and buy and what you can't see in-store is available online.
