Large with lots of products on sale. Cafe/ Restaurant is excellent with a large seating area, inside and out. They have a good play area for children. I visited during the Christmas period where they had 50% off all decorations after Christmas. I cannot comment on the plants, however but for everything else the price and quality was excellent. They also have an indoor market with fruit, vegetables and a butcher. Well worth checking out.

Plant centre well stocked. The food section is probably more expensive than Fortnums or Selfridges. How in this time of austerity does anyone afford 3.99 for a can of cherry pie filling. Unbelievable.

Everything garden. Everything you need. Things seem expensive but I'm fairly convinced it's not unreasonable. Think of it as the John Lewis of Garden Centres.

Great for ranging by big brands of gardenalia. Useful for when you want extra bits for a gardena irrigation system etc. Pricing is fair if not particularly keen.

Horrible experience . No social distancing what so ever way to many people couldn't get to items on the shelves because the que to the cafe was going in between it all. So we left!

Badly signposted once at car park...we went to entrance n it says if want garden centre go to B but gives no clue where B is!
Restaurant system is bizarre and confusing. If the man at beginning is not there and there’s no one in there u still can’t sit down. There is no food to view at counter and no information as to what your supposed to do. You can’t just have a sandwich you have to have salad n chips with it n can’t see the cakes. Food we had was not bad...bacon was under cooked for me (no colour to it) but ok. Then they force you to complete track n trace form which should be optional...I was told he could not serve me unless I completed it as company policy!! Staff were polite enough apart from that but it was an unpleasant experience compared to other places.

I, my husband and our little one went to see Santa's Grotto ???????? there. It was the most amazing place, well decorated, really lovely people with a relaxed and cosy atmosphere for kids and parents!
I would highly recommend this place and yes I am visiting the garden centre too and come back next year to see Santa again!

The garden centre is wonderful; the cafe is excruciatingly slow even when there is hardly anyone in it, waited over 20 minutes get a single coffee. Shame.

Loads of free parking. Toilets are clean ..lots of choice in restaurant..good for adults and children,wheelchairs and prams . Went with my 3yr old grandson..who loved the toy department and all the Christmas department ,which has lots of choice for all price ranges. There is an outdoor play area.
Wonderful butcher's counter..big outdoor range of plants..

Love this place. Lots of great gift ideas. Great at Christmas. So many different things too buy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The big fish aquarium is a must see, the kids will love it and they can feed the fish for a small fee for fish food. Great canteen aswell for a spot of lunch.

Great to buy fresh food like bacon, sausages and freshly cut steak from local butchers. The garden centre is good, but first cafe cold and food not up to the standard you would expect with such lovely produce for sale. However second cafe is much better and does a nice roast. Great for plants, meat and Christmas decorations. Just needs a play area for kids and it would get 5 star.

Visited Santa today which we have done for the last 4 years, however, I think this year Santa could have done with a couple of whiskeys..... A little less sarcasm and misery and a little more jolly would have been nice. Although the grotto looked great and the elves were brill. Followed it up with a cream tea from the cafe, where my scone was so dry that it exploded into a million pieces when attempting to apply the cream, didn't get as far as putting the jam on! Think we will try somwhere else next year unfortunately.

Brilliant little garden centre walked all the way up the back to the back cafe with my niece and mum and had a lovely lunch. Wasn't anything fancy just a panini but the ice cream near the food bit is amazing and had huge bits of chocolate

Very well laid out. Good selection of garden plants, furniture etc. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. They have a large selection of clothes and shoes. I bought 2 handbags.

Polhill is a massive garden centre with shops within shops - layout is good however you need to pay for items in individual shops and not together at the main till. Restaurants were well organised and prices were as expected for that style of shopping and catering. I was slightly disappointed with the Christmas layout however have since found out that outdoor decorations are fully stocked in October. The real Christmas trees were beautiful and not as expensive as other garden centers. Will definitely go back but with an open mind next visit.

What a great garden centre ,in my own opinion they have it all ,spoilt for choice if in the garden department or their great butchers with fantastic prices as well as a shop that has the freshest of veg as well as so many great products , the fish department has a great assortment of fish, prices not bad , all staff have been very helpful and friendly, a very large parking for all with disabled parking in front of the entrance as well as a fresh fish van outside and believe it or not a car wash ad well , there is so much to see in here I would sit for days writing I love this place you really need to pay it a visit , im a bbq fan if your into this check out what they have with good prices , there will be no disappointment in taking a few hours of fun a certain wow factor , many thanks to the polhil staff for the great customer service you all provide in all departments .

Wow, they have a lot of stuff there, pretty much everything. Gardening paradise for every gardening maniac like my girlfriend and a hell for me accompanying her. The fish aquarium was nice but not enough to entartain me for the 5 hours we spent there. I hope she won't drag me there for the next couple of years

If you ever decide to take your children to meet Santa. This is the only place to go! He is the real deal, the man himself! He and his elves have brought happiness to me and my little boy every Christmas! He sings to you, tells stories, listens to both children and parents. He is a true saint! We love you Santa!

Waited five minutes whilst chef cooked salmon in filo, not disappointed, the salmon and the firecracker vegetables were lovely. Lady called Lorraine kept us entertained and updated while we waited. Staff in restaurant lovely we had a laugh with chefs and kitchen staff and of course Lorraine.

There is a vast array of items here aside from plants - indoor & garden. There are probably items here that you would be hard pushed to find elsewhere. But boy do you pay the price. I find this the most expensive garden centre in a very large radius.

Best farmers market in the region.
Unbelievably good quality meat chopped and served by some of the most enthusiastic and approachable butchers I've seen...

We went to Polhill to visit Santa. The Santa's grotto was the best ever. Afterwards we walked around a bit and the place is huge. My Mum had a question about her pond and the guys at the pond area were super helpful. We loved our day out. Only negative was the restaurant. There was nothing left but pasties at 3pm, cashier lady was downright rude, sausage roll was burnt, hence 4 stars.

Overall a good place to go for your garden needs. Price check as can be quite expensive but there are ranges that are not available elsewhere. The restaurant and coffee shop are good value. The fish shop is great for taking the kids to, but note it's a separate entity to the garden centre.

Polhill has everything restaurant, cafe, very good food area with organic goods, well stocked aquarium store, luxury goods, shoes, clothes butchers, books, DVD's, playground and of course plants. There is also plenty of car parking with a car wash outside along side dish store and a place to buy conservatories. Apart from the plants I find the food store excellent especially the ice cream and always buy in their sweet department. Disappointing is the restaurant that is run in a shoddy manner although the outside area including the playground is excellent if a bit noisy.
