Very impressed with the Covid safe arrangements for outside restaurant eating. Lunch was delicious. Ordering and service was very good. Extremely helpful staff on duty.
First visit this year and we managed to purchase all we set out to. All staff we encountered were very helpful.

Walk through the farmer's market, buy fresh meats from the in-house butcher, then browse the rows of gardening equipment and pet supplies. Take a coffee break or even a lunch break in the restaurant areas before moving on to the clothing, household and furniture areas. The aquarium shop is well worth a visit too, with huge carp in the indoor pool. Fantastic at Christmas. Can be a little pricey though!

Really nice little garden centre. The food shop sells lots of great products including American items (which is a nice little treat) and they aren't over priced. They also have a bag your own in the freezers where you can get as much or little as you need if certain items such as frozen fruits, breakfast pastries, potato waffles, hash browns and much more. Lots of garden and home products which are great value for money but also the option to buy more unique crafted items for a fair price.

Had an afternoon tea in the new Tiki Huts. Enjoyed every minute. A windy, cold day but not a problem - the heater kept us all warm and we put two curtain sides down which stopped the wind from getting to us. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend. We will be back. Thanks Polhill.

Home Delivery - ordered 30 bags of lawn dressing on Thursday morning, arrived home Friday to find it neatly stacked by garage , Can't believe how quick and efficient. Have had compost and manure on order from The Compost Centre for 8 weeks now, nothing except excuses. Will be using Polhill from now on. Excellent

Absolutely top customer service. We couldn't find an item that showed in stock online, the staff were so helpful and went and found one in the store when they could have easily palmed us off.

I fully appreciate that the food ordering system has to be done online, but what I do hold in contempt is the standard of the food for the prices to be paid. I ordered two sandwiches costing £6 and £7 respectively plus two drinks costing in total approximately £18 to be then presented with a sandwich of such poor quality I was left disgusted. Having spent 20 years as a craft Baker, my expectation of the £6-£7 sandwich was of a far higher standard than that received. A true waste of money.

Good variety of goods. Sadly some veg looked tired. Bought bunch of weed wilted herbs as I didn't fancy going to supermarket just to look for a fresher bunch. Price should be adjusted accordingly but it wasn't.

Expensive plants, some of them in mediocre state. Always look carefully of what you buy, don't assume it's in tip top condition.

So much there and so much to look at. The cafe is nice and the food is fast. The chocolate cake we had was massive. Worth a visit. The garden section is also worth a visit. So many varieties of plants and garden features.

Long queues. Butchers excellent as always, Food Hall OK. The whole garden centre is looking tired and quite tatty now inside. Lovely outside seating area, but as always food and drinks overpriced.

lovely staff in the cafe although bitterly cold trying to eat outside at the moment. they are making sure the measures they have in place for safety under covid is adhered too. lovely experience and will be back again

Restaurant open with outdoor eating, order food via app that worked OK.
Waited a long time for food and drink , waited 15 min for first item to arrive (Pizza) then another 10 minutes for drinks followed by another ten min wait for a burger and finally after a further 10 min the chips that were supposed to be with the burger arrived.

Got surprised by my daughter and son in law and I have to say I had the best time..the surroundings were perfect it was so clean and everyone was on par with politeness service etc..I'll definitely go back it was perfect..:)

However having returned to have lunch on the restaurant today 17th May , I was disappointed, with the quality of the food , you appear to have lost the customer service here also , we felt like we were on a conveyor belt and no one seemed interested
Shame but I wouldn't go back for meal or reccomend the restaurant ????

First visit to Pole Hill . Vast amounts of wonderful stuff from bird feeders to plants.
We like to mention a member of staff a young man based at the Christmas tree department .
He advised me on the plants and planters I wanted also the soil food and sand needed.
He took my trolley to the check out sorted out the soul needed and pushed trolley to my car and loaded it up for me - so grateful Thank you so much

First time coming here. Lovely place to be in and lots to see, wide selection of plants
Bought some homeware and fruits. They smelt and tasted delicious. Will visit again during the summer.
My one year old also had a good time after being stuck indoors mostly due to the pandemic.

It's good and I have bought many items from there but it doesn't feel 5 stars and can't quite put my finger on it. I think it might be the layout, some areas feel choked and therefore not a relaxing experience and other areas feel under used that you just skip past.

Wonderful Christmas display with an amazing selection of decorations. It felt like entering a magical world! Excellent selection of plants, gardening equipment, food and gifts. Excellent selection of reasonable priced products, staff polite and helpful, didn't manage all areas but when covid restrictions are over would like to spend more time maybe get some lunch. We tried Coolings just prior and doesn't even come close, overpriced and I've seen more plant selection in the local Sainburys

Clean and well laid out. Beautiful items.
We were there for quite a while enjoying looking around.
Might need to change the queue system. We entered from car park A and was waiting for 15mins to get part way round to find people who had parked in car park B entered from another entrance and was able to cut into the queue in front of others after a wait of around 3/5 minutes therefore entering the building first when others had already waited 15 and making their queue time longer. There were quite a few people talking about it and weren't too happy.
