I have been to Thailand several times, and also worked as a waiter/manager in the first ever authentic Canadian Thai restaurant (over 20 years ago). I can say with certainty that the food here is very good! I've not lived in Brighton for too long, but I'm surprised to see such mixed reviews, and that it's neighbouring Thai restaurant (The Red Snapper) always seems to be much busier? Apart from the ambience (which I agree is much nicer at Red Snapper), Thai Pad Thai offers better and more authentic food.

We ordered online for collection. I got there 10 minutes later of collection time and had to wait for food still, whilst on the app said the food was already collected (don’t know what happened there). Food was good except the veggie tempura which was absolutely awful, too greasy and plain and veggies had no taste or texture, it was just a deep fried something. Mains were good we enjoyed a Thai fried rice and a deep fried sea bass which was lovely. The restaurant looked nice and cosy. Beyond the door after the counter it look quite strange the flooring looked very dirty. Staff were friendly. We might try it again.

Fantastic little find.
Great meal. 3 musketeers with pad Thai noodles was simple fantastic.
Thai fish cakes were lovely and along with the special fish dish tasted lovely.
Highly Recommended.

Excellent food, you can take your own drink and the staff is very friendly. Nice place but maybe too small. You feel like your sitting on top of people. Book in advance or go early on Fri or Sat, as it will be busy. It us also a good takeaway solution, food is prepared in few minutes and it's really tasty. Try their recommendations or new dishes, all superb. If the place had more room, it'd be a 5star

Best authentic Thai food i have tasted in years since being in Thailand - amazing find, restaurant a little tired, toilets need a revamp but the food - & the the food is what we were there for was exquisite - absolutely faultless & delicious. Kitchen rating is the highest a 5 so you know its clean just a little dated.

Have gone here before for dinner, as well as taken away. I’ve had both the prawn green curry and thai pad thai, as well as their sharing platter starter. Would recommend all three but the green curry is spicy, beware!

Quite tasty but nothing special. Tempura was just blob of fried batter with a bit of filling. Not great. Tom Yum soup was very salty but tasty. Coconut rice hardly tasted of coconut. Etc..

The waiter calls everyone "dahling". The only reasonable thing to do in this situation is call him "dahling" too. I enjoyed myself, and I think my evening's enjoyment was accentuated by the misery of the people on the next table who seemed to hate everything, especially each other.

Terrible Masaman curry, sauce was thick and powdery, rice was clumpy and the meal didn't come with vegetables. When I called up to ask for vegetables they were very unhelpful. Won't bother again.

Staff though we're great.
Long wait put me off big time and the food when it came was mediocre.
That ruined the whole experience.
I love, love thai food and I lived there years ago , so this was really a big disappointment.
The restaurant itself is really nice, but shame the quality of food (I had thai red curry satay etc.) doesn't do it justice at all.
I know they can do much better.
That's a real pity.
Maybe I picked a bad night or a chef was ill,or drunk ?
It's all subjective,
May give it another visit sometime but there are better and the bitter taste from this venture, probably not.
And that's a crying shame my dear.....
Sorry guys but that llllloooooonnnnggg wait did it for me ???? and to cap it off the meal was sub par.
Total disappointment ????

Sort that out and the chef/s and you really should have a winner there ????

Ordered on Deliveroo. Order was wrong. I order tofu in spicy sauce i received 2 containers of vegetable in a very sweet sauce. I spent £14 for just veg! I tried calling the resturant many many times with no answer. So frustrating!!

Excellent food! However the owner/manager is the grumpiest person that you can meet! He is never happy... When you call to order some food he sounds so grumpy that looks like he is doing a huge favor

I was a very loyal customer but after they massively messed up a take away order and were unable to resolve the dispute I've not returned. Food is average and has defiantly gone down in quality over the years. Very disappointing experience. BYOB which is nice.

I ordered a take away for my husband and I on the 24th August 2018. He ordered prawns and I ordered tofu. My husband has spent 4 nights in hospital with gastroenteritis. This is an appalling inditement on your food and I am in a very strong position to sue you and have your restaurant closed down.

Awful experience - ordered at 7.50pm and by 10pm food had not arrived. Rang to ask. They had the audacity to say the chef says they could start our order in 30 mins - that would have made it 10.30pm for our food to me made - God knows how long for it to be delivered. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. Will never be going back - have been going there for years but this whole experience is quite frankly pathetic.

The Pad Thai (the signature dish!) was stodgy and heavy, appearing to use a sauce from a jar. It also lacked fresh lemon or lime. The curry was also poor. Not recommended.

Just picked up our takeaway, what a waste of money. Tom yum soup really salty and almost inedible, pad Thai I simply can't eat. Really bad... Go to red snapper down the road instead!
