I cannot see why anybody would want to do this for a job. The rates run from £550.00 per week which works out at around £3.27 per hour. rising to £4.76 per hour at the top end of what they pay.. If you own a car, then you can top up your earnings by and extra £1.19 per hour. This is a terrible wage for what is essentially servitude. You are being proper mugged off with this job.

Working with elder was horrible! terrible experience probably one of the worse companies I had ever worked for !!! I had met some really lovely clients through them And a few good experiences only due to the clients/families , but we had 0 support from the office. they don’t treat they’re carers well they don’t care about us, they don’t even give training I wouldn’t trust elder company with any of my family members, they literally hire anyone and put you on a platform to book shifts, they don’t even go visit they’re “clients” home for any health and safety measurements they give misleading information. The hole system is a mess. Good luck getting any refunds from them, good luck making complaints about abuse physical/ verbal/food deprivation by clients and family members !!! They just don’t care !! They make up rules along the way was just a horrible experience.

Is a company of the future, all is online ( except the first, face to face interview); the applications for work and the answer are prompt, and give you the opportunity to decide for yourself the place that suits you, offering many options.

I liked the place. It is big office, where everyone is busy-busy near the computer. Time is precious there! You can get good self-employed job with the elder people in the comfort of their homes through this office. There is almost no any training or additional bonuses. But you can try, if you wish! Good luck!

Working for Elder has been a wonderful experience. They are very professional and helpful with every call you make. I love that they also ask us, the carers, on advise for any improvements within the company. This shows that they value our opinions and it is a team work rather than employer vs. employee. Thank you for all your kindness Elder!

Very efficient and professional 24/7 home carers. 12 months ago my mother in law was given 3 months to live but thankfully after friendly and excellent care by Elders she is still with us and looking good even if she has now got dementia. Mum loves her carer who is very attentive to her needs. In the event of any problems Elders are very quick to resolve our issues.

Generally good service and support so far from Elder. Every effort made to identify my elderly mother's needs and personality at the start of the process. We have had three carers so far, two who have been excellent. The third was not suitable however this was quickly resolved once the problem had been raised. Overall I would recommend.

As a carer with few obligations, I find this type of work gives me freedom, as well as the opportunity to provide a more person centred approach. I feel the carer vetting process can be improved as some carers are not always qualified /professional enough to provide the service required.

I love working for Elder as they are flexible and one chooses where to work. They ask feedback from careers and to ascertain job satisfaction from them. They also listen to careers and do their best to make everyone happy to work with them. It’s easy to work for them and l would recommend anyone to look no further.

LIABILITY INSURANCE THAT DOES'T COVER THEIR CARERS TO ADMINISTER MEDICATION. This company are very deceitful to their carers and service receivers. I have only taken two different placements with this company. I am disgusted by their lame attitude to health and safety. In what Elder refer to as care plan, it stated; "medication was extensive, coming in dossette, boxes and bottles." I believe this implies that you are expected to administer medication. I am conscientious enough to ask for more details. Only then was I informed their insurance did not cover medical administration, I could only prompt. PROMPT MEANS: YOU CAN ONLY REMIND SOMEONE TO TAKE MEDICATION. This had not been explained this to the client. This is ridiculous policy as administration is required in most care jobs especially since administration also covers prescribed creams. It is disturbing that this was not made clear until I bothered to ask. I found both of Elders so called care plans highly inaccurate. This is not surprising when these are written without a risk assesment, any form of medical documentation or checking/ speaking with any healthcare professionals involved with their care receivers. The greatest problem has been trying to inform them of these inaccuracies. I think the company prey on carers being naive or ignorant. Self employment Elder's get out clause; therefore they should not be writting care plans for the carers. They apply this same logic to most of the services they claim to provide. They do not check if carers have the correct training or experience for the relevant placement. The onus is on the carer to only apply for jobs they are qualified for. Stated in the small print carers are agreeing to this responsibility when applying (electronic signature legally binding) on the phone app. After a holiday break from one of the plcarers I realised that she had no moving handling training and left strap burn marks on the client, among other things. I have no doubt that they are some great carers that work for this company. However this is in spite of the management not because of them. BE WARNED THEY ARE CHEAP FOR A REASON. I have never gone out of my way to write a review before, I feel obligated to keep vulnerable families safe.

We have been with Elder for 6 months now and they have provided a fabulous service in terms of the quality of live in care for my mother in law who is enjoying living at home independently with the assistance of her live in carer. Communication is key to the success of this and Elder staff have been amazing liaising with the family and keeping us updated at all times. Thank you

Hi, some months ago I was tasked with finding a live-in carer for an elderly friend and neighbour. Quite a task as the that elderly lady was only to be discharged from hospital if we could find 24 hour care for her, due to her frailty short-term memory loss. After Googling several care companies, none of which seemed able to meet the needs I laid out, I tried Elder Care. From the word go Elder listened, sympathised, noted what our needs were and were genuinely concerned to provide a carer to meets the needs I'd outlined for my neighbour. There are many plus factors when Elder come to your aid in these situations. They are a care company who will recommend one of their carers and "tailor" that approved person to your needs. In my case, we needed a night carer to dove-tail with a local day care team of carers. Not a problem for Elder. We also met our recommended carer by video ahead of agreeing, and were able to discuss her qualifications for the post. We desperately wanted this lady home for Christmas and I found Elder in late November - amazingly they could fit a carer to our needs and send her to us almost immediately. If care is what you need, care is you will get from start to finish with Elder. I highly recommend Elder Care to anyone seeking care .

I started working for Elder a year ago. I always receive immediate response from them to any request. Introducing The Elder Carer Portal and Handover Notes is very helpful for carers. And they pay on time.

It is very early days with our carer only being in place a week. So far my wife is very comfortable with the care and companionship she is receiving, and the carer and I have organised things very well between us. I was a little unsure about sharing the house with "another woman", but it has worked well. I enjoy having her around the house. Time from initial enquiry to the carer arriving was 7 days. Paperwork was all done via email, and phone and email communications prompt, accurate and pleasant. I've used short-term live-in care from 2 other companies before. The experience with Elder has to date been the best.

Elder has been reliable at finding a suitable carer for my elderly father and has provided continued appropriate interim care whenever the regular carer takes her breaks which has given the family peace of mind.

I ve been working in the past for other companies as a live in carer, but i defiantly made the right decision to start working with elder. They matched me with my amazing elder client and we go very well alonge. Elder is place I recommend to work for . Every call i made to the company they are very professional emphatic and helpful. Kush is definitely a very understanding helpfull care coordinator. Kush will always try to help you as much as he can and find the best solution. As well no unnecessary reports, t&c etc gives you more time to spend with your client. Marijana

No hours at all. Their fast paced when it comes to signing you up, after that they leave you in the dark. I would never recommend this company ever. You purchase your own DBS check, but it's a total waste of time because there's no work at all. Severe lack of communication. Even if you've got your own up-to-date DBS, it's not good enough for them.
