Never opens on time and when he does arrive he is continually on his mobile phone, he supplies the very minimum of service. Cold unwelcoming atmosphere this all could all be done by automation far more efficiently and would probably feel more human.

I use this post office twice a week to send car parts, sold on-line. He is very helpful with information on the best way to send things all over the world. The prices are always as expected (checked beforehand) or sometimes cheaper, (if I've missed an alternative way of sending). Apart from the fact that the location of this post office is very convenient, I would rather go here than anywhere else, as I know that the process will be dealt with efficiently and in a freindly and professional way.

We love our local post office. Sam is brilliant and always keeps us updated of any changes (prices or service). As a small business we use 'drop and go' and Sam always gets our post out the same day. Hi Mr Angie S the staff did not try to overcharge you.
you have been given the option to use secure register post. which is 6.70.
but you needed just the signed for service which is not 1.83 its is1.95.
Also at post office we cannot overcharge anyone.
Different services have different price.
The price is the same in every post office.

I use this Post Office every week, and always find the owner helpful and polite. It’s very convenient for me, being so close to my home.
Sometimes the opening hours are a little odd, however I realise people have a life away from work, and it’s not the end of the world.

Can’t understand the negative reviews here of this post office. The proprietor is very polite, and is the fastest at processing post I have ever encountered. I post a lot, and have done for 20 years. What used to take 45 minutes to an hour to process at the main post office is now processed in 15 minutes flat! The owner is remarkable and if there was a record for the fastest post processing this guy would win it hands down! If you do volume this is the post office for you. Forget the town centre.

The man was friendly. That's where the good things end. He deliberately overcharged me, doing a whole charade to show the item wouldn't fit through the measuring tool and then charging me £3.10 while putting £1.83 postage on. I only know what he did because the recipient sent me a photo of the postage when she accused me over overcharging her. Avoid this place!

Guy behind the counter is incredibly rude, was rude to customers in front of me and when it was my turn I was treated no differently so I guess he's consistent!! Has overcharged friends of mine as well. This is the closest branch to where I live but I will never be using again. George V Avenue Post office is far superior in friendliness and service And so is Pond Lane post office. I will never use Tarring Post Office again! Awful!

Had to edit review as I got the two post offices muddled.
Terrible opened late I left after waiting 30 mins for the store to open. Other customers said this is common. Go to Broadwater opens on time and the staff are friendly.

This is the only post office I ever use, nice and easy very quick service and usually not busy. The owner is super polite and helpful, a real gentleman, always with a smile in his face. I forgot my password on my other google account and made a new one just to leave this review as I really think he deserves it. Ive been using it for my business for more than a year now and never had any issues whatsoever, the only few times I had parcels delayed he instructed me on how to get a refund. Really goes the extra mile for his customers! Thank you!

This shop is often closed when it shouldn’t be. It also often opens late & closes early. Also: it’s a mess inside with awful handwritten signs stuck badly all over the windows and walls. The stock is dirty and poorly displayed. It looks like a bad second hand shop when you look from outside. Sub standard.

I was nearly overcharged too !! Just sent a first class letter recorded delivery and he told me it was 6.05 !!! Then i said its only 1.83 isnt it for that size letter ? Oh yes he says my mistake .. I wont ever be going in there again

This is by far the best post office I have ever worked with. The staff is very polite and friendly and its usually not so busy so you can get your parcels sent quickly and with no hassle. They also accept Click and collect from Amazon so you can potentially have your parcels collected there as well. Prices are really fair for all packaging and accessories, apart from the postage services that are standard for all post offices and defined by Royal Mail themselves. Highly recommend it!

First of all the male counter staff were smiling and eager to serve, which is a real tonic for a customer, secondly the gentleman who served me was very polite indeed and very efficient in how he carried out his duty, the feeling given to me was that he really wanted to help and was gaining pleasure from doing so, if more people had the same attitude to their jobs especially if they are serving the public then businesses would thrive as a direct result and our country would be a very prosperous one.

Both my wife and I have been overcharged on separate occasions by the guy in this Post Office. He charged £3.90 for a £2.90 for a parcel then when questioned refused to show the envelope. He is clearly on the fiddle.
