First visit to the worthing branch with this matter was on 7th July. I can't supply the name of staff member that this complaint is about as they were not wearing any form of name badge. This person is female approximately late 50's long wavy dyed dark hair, light pink lipstick and more concerned about her painted nails. Wife needed to urgently renew her passport which ironically ran out on 6th July and this post office is advertised as being able to renew passports. My wife had a correctly completed form with the required photos plus her old passport. This staff member told my wife that she was not able to renew her passport as it was out of date and her ONLY option was to go online and find a phone number of the passport office as they were the only ones that could do anything. We looked up the number and at the time an appointment for a phone call from the passport office was made for Friday 10th July. Due to the urgency and stress we decided to call the passport office back ourselves on the morning of 10th July and were informed that as it was not a serious issue like a death in the family the passport office could do no more and that the information given by the member of staff at Worting post office was totally incorrect and to go back and apply again. We returned to Worthing post office within an hour of this call and the same member of staff served. On informing her what was discussed in the phone call, which she originally told us was the only way to get a renewed passport, she said that we didn't have an appointment and she couldnt do it. We asked if there was any other post office that could get this done and she said go to Lancing post office. This we did and the staff there were the total oppersite. They were excellent and did the renewal application digitally 're processing all the forms and doing the photo. The Worthing staff member not only wasted our time and really couldnt be bothered to do what Lancing post office did immediately in 20 minutes but misinformed us completely

Caught this post office (sat 13th July) on a good day judging by the reviews. No long queues, but I went straight to the self service tills and worked fine! The lady there to support was great too! No complaints!

Que was quite big so I used the self service, they nice lady helped. I was done in 5 mins max. Stop claiming and use the self service moaners. Post offices must be busier than ever. Have a thought for that.

If you are already in town then this is a great location, bit of an issue if not, if you need to park there is a pay and display carpark close by. Collections is at the far end so no need to queue for that. Can be very busy with long queues, not good if somebody is waiting nearby for you with a car. Update. The Royal Mail section has now moved to the WHSmiths down the road a couple of hundred meters, If collecting a parcel then this section remains. The signage is terrible, the parcel force collection person was very abrupt when I mentioned this and said that they were nothing to do with Royal Mail. Don’t worry, I’m more than happy to NOT use them now, it’s a pain to get to anyway.

My package supposed to be delivered notifcation on phone tried to deliver no one home .I was looking at my window garden and no one turned up ,they really couldn't be bothered to deliver.I went to post office really wasn't interested just gave me card with a phone number.I asked for the manger sorry gone home.I think the person behind the pick up section is a nice person but I think the post office should send them on a course on how to communicate with people ,this would make life easier for everyone

Long waits whenever I come here. Even if it’s just to collect a parcel that the postman couldn’t be bothered to knock for. Self service is slow because the staff have to pretty much do it for you, making the whole “self” part a lie. Getting a photo done in the booth here also costs a fortune. Packing materials are a con when you consider the cost of postage on its own these days. Location isn’t great either, nowhere to stop just for a moment while you run in to pick up the parcels. Be prepared to bring change for your parking when you come to get your “missed” mail.

If I could leave a zero I would. Long queues, some staff have no product knowledge, some are just plain obstructive and some, oh, no, that’s it really. If it wasn’t the only place you can pick up missed deliveries then I wouldn’t use it. Parking is non existent, which considering all of Worthing’s missed deliveries go there, you have to question why it is still there and not somewhere the wardens don’t circle like vultures. If the Post Office insist on closing down branches, why have they cut outlying offices and left this complete white elephant still working. But carry on Worthing Main Post Office, you are a shining example of how not to run a business. Cashier number 1 please.....

I pay for next day delivery of some text books that I needed urgently. No sign of them, nor a failed delivery note. Three days later, when I could get to the post office parcel section, I was told that I needed the failed delivery card to claim my items (the ones that had not been left). The postman. he turned out to be my postman, told me that he would put a card in my mail box the next day! I took the books off him and left with them. Bring on privatisation,

10,500 counters nationwide to collect mail from, many of which are apparently open until 5.30pm on a Saturday. Total B0110CKS! WORTHING Main which covers a population of around 65,000 people shuts at 12.30 pm so you cant collect the parcel that they never tried to deliver. Its easy to rock up and shove a card through the door saying there was no one home to take delivery. I know. I've watched them not try to deliver to my house from the bedroom window, the lazy ba5tards. They deserve to go down the pan.

Went to collect missed parcel and lady behind the desk in the collection room was rude and impatient when I asked if I could check address details... Was empty when I arrived and when a couple arrived after 30 secs or so she told me I was holding people up. It was really unexpected and rude.

Paid for next day delivery. 4 days later after a "failed delivery" message on the parcel tracker I popped in to enquire as to why that may be and see if my parcel was in the office. Very abrupt and unhelpful member of staff simply read the very same message I had recieved back to me. There is no issue with access to my building I have my own front door. The only issue with the delivery of my parcel has been the incompetence of the postal service and some admission of responsibility would have been appreciated rather than blaming a customer who through no fault of my own has paid extra money for a speedy delivery and ended up with the opposite. After the inconvenience of having paid extra money for a failed service the least I expect is polite customer service. Perhaps an apology of sorts. I'm aware the individual concerned was not responsible for the failed delivery but as a customer service professional they should not be insinuating that the fault is with the customer or making assumptions such as "perhaps they couldn't gain access to the road". In summary. I left the office without my parcel. No information on where it was. No information on why the delivery was failed. No apology and an "it should be redelivered tomorrow" 5 days late. Assuming they can " gain access" and find my front door that is.

I was so devastated how the lady name Fi treated me. She asked to put the stamp on, ok I did, but rushing me at the same time to pay was so cruel. Can't she see I have a baby and I have 5 stamps to put in. She is so cruel.

Opening times misleading. Can only post and buy after 9am but you can collect parcels from 7am. Came here at 8:45 to post a parcel before work but had to find a post office closer to work/on route
