We had our wedding cancelled three times due to corona virus but we finally tied the knot on a cold but beautiful 12th December 2020. It had all the Covid-19 safety rules and regulations in place but it was intimate and intense, with just 6 guests.
The ceremony room and garden are gorgeous but the two lovely, kind women who conducted the ceremony were what made it. It was touching, wonderful, sincere, meaningful..... I couldn't stop crying with all the emotions.

Had our ceremony here last week (October 2020).
Despite COVID restrictions, the registrars made it feel really special and were very accommodating wherever they could be. There is a conservatory off the room where the photographer can move about, also we were able to be in there while our (6) guests came in the main room and then made our entrance together (default at the moment for Surrey is you have to just be in the ceremony room while guests file in)
Gardens were lovely, even in October, there is an alley down the left of the property with nice shade and stone walls that could be nice for some extra pictures.

2 registrars, Karen and Jacqueline, conducted our wedding for us at our venue, and we could not have wished for two nicer, friendlier, helpful registrars. The way that they conducted the interview beforehand and the ceremony itself was fantastic - they made it feel so very special and personal, as if ours was the only wedding in the whole world! My husband and I cannot thank them enough for their part in making it such a wonderful day.

Misspelt my wife's name on our daughters birth certificate, I am now massively in the dog house as I am equally at fault for not checking properly so 2 stars for me. In my defence the registrar was reading it straight off of her passport. I would have thought these professional transcribers would not make such simple errors unless it is a ploy to make more money of course! It cost us over £100 to correct their mistake.

Do not recommend this site until their construction work has been completed. When we booked the site in April 2018 we were told that construction would be finished by October 2018 and that only a part of the building would be covered. It is now March 2019 and the entire building is still covered in scaffolding and the site is a mess. Beware!
update: I have been informed that they allegedly sent an email in October referring to more extensive work with an option to change plans. In the email they had requested proof of receipt but didn't follow-up when they didn't receive acknowledgement from us. How could we as we never received the note.

I do love doing wedding photography at Leatherhead Register Office and have been doing so since 2008. The staff are very friendly and the ceremony room is lovely. I am able to take pictures all the way through the ceremony but always turn off my flash after the bride walks in until the first kiss to respect the special moment and never had a problem with the lighting. The conservatory is a lovely area for photography when wet outside and when not the garden is one of the best locations with the steps and archway. Always love weddings here.

We are very sorry to see the comments from the previous post. We pride ourselves on giving every couple an individual ceremony, despite conducting thousands of ceremonies each year. We were aware of this situation although we never received a complaint from the couple or the photographer. We have done everything we can to resolve this issue.

The ceremony was very professional and made us feel really special. It was lovely from start to finish. A great experience to treasure.

We went to a wedding here on Saturday 4th June 2016. The two registrars were extremely rude!
One of them started shouting at the photographer for standing behind her in front of all the guests.
The other registrar moaned at the photographer the whole way through the ceremony and even after the ceremony. These two women were DRAGONS!!!!!!!!! Apparently BOTH the registrars are sensitive to the flash but there is no way of not using the flash in such a dark room unless you want your photographer to produce rubbish pictures of your wedding day! These two monsters ruined the ceremony and shouldn't be allowed to conduct weddings! DONT GET MARRIED HERE!
