The Merton registry office is one of my favourite venue. I really love the open, large space around the building. The venue is very spacious with many rooms and options to book a ceremony. It's even possible to get married outside during the summer and to have your reception in the building.
There is a large outside space and a beautiful wooden door where you can snap some awesome photos.
It's worth taking a walk around the park for more opportunities to take photos and enjoy the nature.
Spacious car park just next to the venue, but if you having your wedding there you can have about 10 cars parked inside.

Had my British citizenship ceremony there. Very polite staff, the premises were clean and welcoming with all the anti-covid measures in place. The surroundings are also very nice.

I am a wedding photographer and have photographed numerous weddings at Merton Register Office. It is a beautiful house with gorgeous ceremony rooms and set in scenic parkland. The registrars are helpful, accommodating and photographer friendly. It is obvious that they care about giving the couple the best experience during their day. If you are planning a small register office wedding in South London, then give Morden Park House some serious consideration.

We were exceptionally happy with the service provided by Merton Register Office from start to finish. From registering our intent to marry all the way through to the service itself, the process was quick and easy. We especially want to thank the ladies from Merton register office who made the ceremony on the day one we will never forget. Their humour and humility shone through during the ceremony. Many guests commented on how personable and warm they made the ceremony itself. We were personally made to feel at ease having been clearly taken through the way the ceremony would run. Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience.

After having booked my wedding here a couple of months ago. We had decided to rearrange due to the uncertainty of a potential lockdown this January. After asking for a transfer for the dates - they declined and have kept our entire booking fee as its in the 'terms and conditions'. We have had to pay the whole fee over again to move it back to April.

We had a very intimate wedding. We married in the Sheridan room & it was beautiful. The ladies are really accommodating, patient & understanding. I was ten min late & they were really understanding. I with Fibromyalgia & they made sure was as comfortable as possible & provided chairs for the ceremony so I didn't stand. I really appreciated their kindness. Thank you so so much x

The building is picturesque, the rooms are bright and if the weather is good, the surrounding grounds make a perfect background for photos. With that said none of it would be of use without the staff. We really set them all a challenge, a double wedding with only three months notice. One of us from abroad, one couple did not live in the area and three divorcees. From the receptionists to the out of sight back-office staff all were so helpful and knowledgeable. We followed their advice and without too much stress all the paperwork was in order. On our big day the Registrar was able to meet all the legal parts of the ceremony while creating a light hearted side for the repetitive second wedding. Everything went without a hitch, even the sun was shining. Sorry, but for this review I am pleased to say that I will not be back. Merton Registry Office is the start of our married life and I hope that we will not be doing it again. If you are planing your wedding, big or small, take a look at this Registry Office, you will not be disappointed.

We're in a rather complex marital/visa/lockdown/pregnancy situation and were very grateful to get through to a friendly and highly knowledgeable registrar called Alex Tate, who guided us through the process. Not sure if Merton Council gives out medals, but if it does - he's your man!

We had such an amazing day. We decided to keep our numbers to 40 ppl. We booked the gazebo and requested that we held 40 person room, in case it rained. Deborah was the lady that sorted everything out. We only required 45 chairs for our wedding, Deborah arranged that 55 chairs be removed for our wedding. It would've looked pretty bare, too many empty chairs. I cant fault Morden registry office. They really made us feel at ease. Deborah was at another wedding in the afternoon, we asked that she marry us, she arrived back in time, to do just that. I definitely recommend all the team there, they are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing our special day.

Do not book a wedding ceremony here and pay in full as they do not issue refunds! Having booked a wedding and paying the full balance over a1 1/2 before the date I am no longer able to get married due to family circumstances. The register office have decided to not refund me the money minus the deposit. So I am now paying for a service that I will never receive. What is the point in paying a deposit. Disgusting!

Hajet Kuka For us, this was just a legality, in preparation for our actual 'Big Day', however, the staff, and of course the stunning building, made this a wonderfully memorable event. Even the appointment to register made the whole experience amazing.
I can't begin to explain how fabulous the staff were, so I will just say a massive thank you to you all, for making this a day to remember.

Such a lovely venue - doesn’t feel like a registry office. Staff in advance were great but on the day they were so cold and stand off-ish. They acted annoyed with everything (no we weren’t late, we only had 30 guests and everyone was well behaved) and were incredibly rude at the end (they were annoyed a confetti thing was let off inside, it was clearly a mistake - the man who did it was bright red, apologising and offering to help!). Overall we had a great time but it was definitely in spite of the staff on the day who could really do with remembering it’s someone’s wedding! It was important to us! And we were nervous - some warmth would have been lovely!

Mum got married here in a lovely ceremony... well orchestrated, the actual place is nice, just a shame about the swimming pool 100 meters away that looks like the one in Pripyat Ukraine (Chernobyl)

Last wedding of the day on a Saturday and it felt like it!! Unprofessional, unfriendly, disorganised and a general feel of get them in and out as quick as possible. carpet was littered with debri and confetti which a staff member scooped up some of it and threw it out of the window, guests were held outside so long that the bride saw them on the way in.
We were responsible for playing our own cd's (told on the day) a guest of mine played them only after managing to get the faulty player working (At first wouldn't eject or play).
Ushered to what looked like the rear of the building for the photo's (not the nice gardens seen on fb or website.
The independent photographer said he was told we would be having the pictures taken in the gardens but later was told that would not now be the case........
Some close friends and family also spotted the issues so it wasn't just our view.
May of been a one off unlucky day but would you want to take the risk!!!!!
I would give it minus stars but there isn't the facility to do that.

quite an expensive place to get registered, multiple rooms of difference capacities available.
had to move to a bigger hall due to unexpected guests and had to pay before the ceremony could take place.

The guy who read the vows could at least memorise his speech. Inside whilst having a vintage vibe had terrible old looking carpets. Staff seemed not to welcoming and forced pleasantries
