Everyone knows what Aldi is and what they offer but I wanted to make this review because I am really disappointed that there are hardly any veggie options here. For example Quorn style chicken slices of sandwiches etc. They have a few bits in the frozen section but nothing 'to go'. Something Aldi should really think about stocking ! Would be AMAZING if they did halal food as well!

My rating is for the Aldi in Lewes which in my opinion is very untidy & the staff are miserable making it difficult to find things. It is always busy so there must be a lot who like it, but that makes parking a nightmare in a not easily negotiable car park. Personally I prefer the Aldis in Brighton & Portslade.

Car park too small. Signs say pay at machine. There isn't 1. So if you go over the 90 minutes you get fined

Hate the car park, it brings out the worst in people. I have a set time when I go where I know the car park will be less busy. The shop itself is generally a cluttered mess with boxes and trollies everywhere, which makes navigating an interesting past time. On the plus side it's the cheapest supermarket around, so I put up with it and try to remain calm when I visit.

Nearly tripped over a pallet left in the middle of an aisle, bought stuff 'as good as the brands' only to find out it wasn't even close to brand quality. Aldi own brand spray deodorant lasted for about 10 squirts. Had a moldy taste in a pre-made Chicken sandwich. I may have saved some money but I still felt ripped off. Am I one of those lucky people that isn't suckered by clever advertising?!

Prices usually excellent, stock levels fair although tend to have short/very short life on fruit and veg. Car park can be a total nightmare if you time it wrong.
Have had issues in the past with staff members being rude, particularly the store manager who failed to respond to any of my attempts to contact them.
Be prepared to pack your shopping at the speed of light as it hurtles off the conveyor belt at you...

I have done my main shop here since the day it opened. Okay, so once or twice monthly I may have to pick up from other stores a few bits that I can't get here but they are increasing and improving their range constantly. The prices and quality would be very difficult to beat. Good variety of most foods. Themed 'specials' include bargains in cycle/ski wear that is both technically functional and comfortable and soo cheap....wow!!! We eat really well. Do, do doo try the fillet steak - yesss FILLET steak, full of flavour and no teeth required. I bought two for £10. My savings at Aldi is what pays for the majority of my summer holiday! Thank you Aldi for being there!

Good for most of your shopping not a great deal of choice but cheap the whisky was ok get most things laundry not much good when it was more Germany it was better the cold meats and that still ok on par with Lidl If not a little better good for milk bread vegables fruit mainly good

Pros-Good valve for money
Cons- fresh veg& fruits go off with in two -three days
Don't have basket with wheels that's needs for the OAPS or people with a Disability would be helpful
