I went shopping in Aldi today 12/01 didn’t have any cash on me only my Apple Watch (Apple Pay ) So I asked A young lad who worked at Aldi if he could open the trolley for me. Because I didn’t have a pound on me he said he’ll ask his manager if he can open the trolley for me. and then he came back and said he’s manager said I had to go to somewhere else to get change! (I had to go all the way home) I thought that’s really bad customer service!! it takes less than a 2nd to open the trolleys! I usually go to London Road Aldi and the staff have NEVER had a problem with opening the trolley for me!!
I don’t really want to carry cash around with me because of Covid.

It's still early days at this new branch and I've only been a couple of times since the opening, I've found the selection of food to be of good quality but sometimes a lack of it due to stock sellingout and not being replaced quick enough the frozen food selection is limited due to lack of space i suppose in store.
Staff are all very helpful and will go the extra mile to help customers in locating food produce.
I've not seen a security officer on my last three visits but I think they have some sort of security to protect the shop staff and customers.
