Good selection. The staff seemed to be doing a good job helping customers, but there were definitely not enough of them. I was trying to get some shoes to try on, but no members of staff were available to help, and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one left waiting.

Its a good choice if you don't want to spend a fortune on brand names.
You will find almost everything for a limited weekend expedition.
If you are looking for really professional equipment you have to look a bit further!
Ofcourse price is always the medium wallets guide so value for money is high enough for the products at this shop.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I always stop and have a look.

Helpful staff who know the products. We were there for hiking footwear and they had a decent variety. For the stock they didn't have, theybwere able to direct on where to go.

An assistant greeted me when I looked lost. The size I wanted wasn't on the shop floor, so he suggested he could look downstairs and check for me. He said it might take 5 minutes.
I waited and yes, within 5 minutes, he came back with the correct size.
I said I was in a hurry, and he acknowledged that and sped up some of the service so he could help me leave quickly. I was very pleased with the service.

Really helpful and knowledgeable assistants. I had popped into a different shop nearby and I felt that it was just sales talk. Here, the assistants listened, asked me questions, got me to try on different rucksacks, provided me with helpful advice and tips.

Bought some walking trainers here yesterday. Was truly amazed at the passion and amount of useful info that the staff member gave me (apologies for not remembering his name) - I've never had such one-to-one focussed attention on my needs before! I walked out extremely happy, with a pair of shoes that were perfect for my requirements, and fit like a glove. Am really pleased and would definitely recommend without hesitation - thank you!

Was here a little while ago to buy some new hiking boots and ended up leaving the store due to an awful customer experience.
I was served by an older gentleman named Kurt, who it became apparent was just pushing to sell me the most expensive pair of boots, depsite me telling him a few times that they were not suitable for my travel purposes.
I myself am very knowledgeable about outdoor gear, so it was very obvious what his sales tactic was: supply false information and push for the most expensive item.
It's a shame because I always have had great customer service experiences in the cotswold / snow+rock stores, however I felt really let down today. I would advised prospective customers to do their own research before using this particular branch to buy anything.

I arrived at the store fifteen minutes before it was due to close, and although I knew which shoes I wanted to buy I wanted to try them on again and in some different sizes. The staff were very friendly and I didn't feel like I was being rushed, even when I was still there ten minutes after the closing time.

Great selection and friendly staff
Very competitive prices. I buy my hiking gear here quiet often, and I always had a great time. Last time I bought some boots and the employee (on a Saturday afternoon) helped me choosing despite being very busy. I suggest having a membership here. Great place if you have a BA American express as they usually have avios offers here.

Most of the staff are not trained properly and have no idea what they are talking about. Luckily they have a few members that do their job properly. The shop itself has very low stock and choices and most of the time have to order online the products I need and wait for delivery.
