Dad’s wish was for a “no fuss, low cost” funeral. Sat in front of google it was hard enough to start researching funeral options, but we were surprised and relieved to come across this direct cremation option. It was something we hadn’t heard of before.
From the first contact, the team at Pure Cremation provided the very best service. Communication was clear, all transactions were quick and without issues, and we were left with time to focus on family, and to remember dad.
When dad’s ashes were returned it was done courteously and politely.
This type of cremation won’t suit everyone, but it met all of our needs.
We can now focus on a family memorial where we will celebrate dad‘s life and achievements.

I cant fault Pure Cremations from start to finish the service was brilliant, my mum wasnt a showy person so being able to keep low key but personal was absolutely great, even the man who brought my mum home to me was lovely making sure I was ok before he left.
Nothing was too much to ask of them, I would definitely recommend them.
Thank you Pure Cremations for making a very painful time so easy and uncomplicated.

We found Pure Cremation by chance and were extremely thankful for their support when my mother passed away while at the care home during COVID lockdown. My contact with them was dealt with compassion and professionalism in what was for me was a very difficult period. Everything was done remotely by telephone and email with her ashes being returned by hand after the cremation. Other options were available which may suit other family circumstances.

I was very impressed with your service from start to finish .you all showed a very calm and careing outcome. Even to when Paul the gentleman who brought my husband Stans remains back to me , he gave me information of how to help with scattering the ashes which I would not have thought off . Ian and his team in Scotland are just the most wonderful guys. They helped me in ways that even I didn't realise at the time. Talked me through not only the process of cremation of my beloved father but what I needed to do on s legal footing. These guys where fantastic and made me feel so much cared for in my time of need. A disgrace. My wife called on the day that she lost her Mum. All details taken. Asked for quote as needed to discuss all with family as we are not on the Mainland. Quote didn't arrive. My wife called again..confirmed our email was correct - promised quote again..nothing arrived. Wife called 3rd time..girl said she would look into it and ring back. Nothing all day. Wife called for 4th time and girl said that she could find no details in the system. My wife is a retired undertaker with 28 years experience in the Funeral Profession, and she has never dealt with such a shambolic and unprofessional company. We have therefore lost all confidence that this company would make any effort in caring for our lovely Mum...and this shambles has made the whole thing worse.

From the moment we picked up the phone to ask for help to receiving dad's ashes back, we felt like we were in very safe hands. Although very unwell, my Father died a lot sooner than the family had anticipated and although he had stipulated he wanted a direct cremation we had not discussed with him as to how to proceed with his wishes. Pure Cremation was the first company I contacted and the lady I spoke with was so helpful and considerate of our sudden loss. She took all the necessary details and within a few hours two very nice gentlemen attended dad’s house to collect him.
The following Monday, Mr Wheeler contacted me and we completed the arrangement details and from that point everything was very smooth.
There was a little hiccup as my brother chose to attend Pure Cremation to collect the ashes but that was resolved with a phone call.
I am very happy with the processes undertaken. The only thing I might add is that having completed the necessary documentation there was no follow up with the family. It would have been nice to have a telephone call just to check in with the family although I appreciate this option might not be for everyone.
All in all, an excellent service and I would definitely recommend Pure Cremation and in fact, I have already done so.

I was delighted with the kindness and compassion shown to myself and my family during a terrible time. Right from the lovely ladies who came to collect my husband from our home to the lovely gentleman who returned the ashes to me. The solid pine coffin was beautifully made and shaped. My husband loved working with wood and would have loved his final resting spot.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending pure cremation to all my friends and family . The professionalism and compassion from the first phone call to the delivery of the ashes was second to none.

I can not thank Pure Cremation enough, from finding out our loved one had limited life expectancy to the first phone call and speaking to the wonderful team it was easy efficient and although we were grieving it took so much pressure off us to know our loved one was being looked after. The ashes were returned at the time we were told by a very professional and compassionate person. I would highly recommend this service.

My father passed away early jan 2021 and we found he had requested to use pure cremation and have a simple cremation with no attendees. Initially once making contact with pure cremation it was fine they confirmed my father had a plan and the balance was paid. After assuring me they would contact me when they had collected my father they failed to contact me and it took 2 more phone calls from me to them for them to confirm he was resting with them. I was told the date he would be cremated but not the time apparently this is their policy as it’s impossible for them to tell you ? I had to telephone the day after to find out the time. It took over 21 days for my father to be returned to me and I can honestly say mick who brought him home to me made up for the two months of constantly calling to find out updates. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about the whole process hence the 2 stars. I was constantly told after ringing with no answer for 20 mins giving up and emailing instead that they were very busy and whilst I appreciate that the whole process and constantly dealing with different people was quite hard work.

My darling husband died in October. I could not speak to anyone, let alone arrange a funeral. Some time ago my husband and I had decided that we would use Pure Cremation Ltd. when our time came. Fortunately I could just e mail them, fill in a form online, pay their fee. They then confirmed everything and a short while later they telephoned to let me know that they were going to collect him from hospital, and gave me a date for the cremation. They were kindness itself, and I was kept informed at every stage. The ashes were returned very quickly, only a couple of weeks after the cremation. I cannot recommend their services highly enough.
I have left instructions for my family that when I pass away, the same company should be used.

Would recommend Pure Cremation 100%. From the initial phone call speaking to Rebecca Soroush after the passing of Dad everything went smoothly. Rebecca is very attentive and explained everything in detail. We were kept up to date throughout and Rick who delivered Dad’s ashes to us on 18th March 2021 is a lovely caring person. With such a stressful time they made it a little bit easier for us.

My family and I wanted to thank you personally, and from the bottom of our hearts, for the wonderful way you tactfully handled all the matters relating to Mum's cremation; especially the unattended memorial service that we organised to take place in the Oak Room at Charlton Park, pre-cremation. It was very evident from the start, that you went that extra mile to make the service work for us, and it did. You have such a lovely manner when dealing with these sensitive issues that you really made me feel at ease, which wasn't an easy task for anybody. Thank you so so much.
Lucie was the main person we dealt with at Pure Cremation but I would like to mention the people who collected Mum's body from the nursing home. Very empathetic and handled Mum with great care, they helped me to feel less anxious about what would happen next; it was a very stressful time. The other person to mention was Vic who delivered Mum's ashes to me; he too was very compassionate and helped to make yet another stressful situation run very smoothly.
I would definitely recommend Pure Cremation to others.
As a side note, I ordered a beautiful spray of flowers to put on Mum's coffin. Thanks again to Lucie who helped to facilitate this. The florist, Emma at Gallaghers, sent me a photo of the card and flowers before they were sent to Charlton Park.

Pure Cremation dealt with the cremation of my husband in a friendly and efficient way. This made it easier to cope at a very difficult time.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions it was not practical to hold a conventional funeral when so many family members and friends lived to far away to visit just on the day.
With the ashes i will be able to hold several simple ceremonies of remembrance with burying or scattering some of the ashes as and when people can visit me or I can visit them.
We might have to wait a few months for some of the ceremonies but at least everyone will be able to attend one.
This will help everyone in the grieving process.

Sadly my mum died recently, and with problems with lock down, self isolating and numbers of people allowed at the funeral we decided to have just a cremation and hold the wake at a later date when all the restrictions have been lifted. From the moment I spoke to pure cremation they made it a very easy process. They were very professional and sympathetic to our loss. I have signed up for them to take care of my funeral hopefully not in the near future and I would certainly recommend them to anyone who had recently lost someone or thinking ahead and arranging there own funeral

From the first moment of contact I felt very comfortable discussing arrangements for my Mum. The staff on the phone, the staff who came to collect her and bring her ashes home to me could not have been more kind and considerate. The chapel at Charlton Park Crematorium was calm and elegant, in a beautiful park setting and the host there was most sympathetic and kind. I have to admit that I was concerned having a non-attending funeral. But with the restrictions at the moment I decided that it would be for the best and have a remembrance service after everything has been lifted. Pure Cremation were impeccable from the beginning. Everything they said would happen, did happen. I believe that they looked after my mum as good as I would have. I have nothing but admiration for what they have done. Making a horrible thing so much better and putting my mind at rest. My mum was delivered professionally a couple of days ago. Ready to be layed to rest next to dad. Unlike other funeral directors, they don't try to sell you add ons or make you feel under pressure to spend money.
They do exactly what they advertise to do and iI was very satisfied with the way they looked after my father. Particularly the extra effort they made in couriering and hand delivering his ashes to me.

This was my third experience of arranging a direct cremation. My father had chosen this following discussions we had had about our reactions to those of my mother and stepmother. He was convinced that it had caused him no psychological problems; I feel the same. After his death I found to my surprise that he had arranged his own pre-paid direct cremation with Pure. My mum decided on this type of funeral after watching the TV advert. Overall things went smoothly with one exception due to my mums estate being handled by a solicitor and the payment was delayed, we where not told that her cremation had been put off until after the event, which was distressing. Her ashes where delivered on time as agreed and in a very respectful way, unlike most funeral directors who get paid after the event, Pure require payment upfront, as long as you ensure this happens then your experience will be very smooth. It’s a very different type of funeral but at £1300. significantly cheaper, and during Covid a very sensible thing to do .
