Booked an ebike 48 hour test. They was meant to call and didn't bother. I rang the number on here 3 times and it cut out. I rang their hq and they investigated and said that the 3 bikes were stolen or broken and that they couldn't lend any bikes. The option should have been removed from their website weeks ago. Given the price of ebike you think they could have rang me. I'll have to travel 15 miles to another store now.

Very poor experience in the Cycling section.
Staffs does not know the job, 3 persons = 3 versions of the informations .. not frank with customers. Making up excuses .. pathetic!
Not asking for the moon, just to be honest.
I would suggest to avoid them if you can.

I bought engine oil and was charged £3 for one of their men to put the engine oil in my car. The guy that did it overfilled my car with oil and. in the process, he asked his colleague whether he thought this was enough oil only to be told by his colleague to put in more.
After that, my car suffered from an oil leakage and ruined the inside of my car. This cost me at about £350 to sort out because by the time there was any noticeable effect on the car's performance, the oil had spread around the whole of my car.
I called head office to get re compensated for the money paid and provided evidence of this and I was denied any money back. I should have taken it all the way to court but I didn't simply because I was a full time student and working and didn't have the time.
I'm pretty sure this sums up why I have given a 1 star rating. Halfords should not be offering a service that they have not trained their staff to provide and their failure to perform such a simple ask only makes me wonder how inexperienced their staff really are.
In other words, do not rely or buy products based on any advice given by Halfords, do not take your car their for any sort of repair and do not expect Halford's head office to be sympathetic to your losses caused by their own staff.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. One worker called Farid had told us, buy these two items and I can install the subwoofer and you do not need anything else. I bought these items and went to get it fitted by the same guy. Farid said that to install the subwoofer I need to drill a hole in the car as I cannot find a rubber grommet and halfords to not let us drill holes in cars. I thought fair enough but when doing a little research i found out he was lying and he actually told us to buy the wrong things. My and my brother bought the right stuff and installed the subwoofer without drilling holes. DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE AN IDIOT AND LIED TO.

The Halford mechanics are Rip Off Scam Artists - do not trust them. AVOID THIS SHOP. This place is running a scam. They are criminals. The mechanic makes up the charges, which is often double the price advertised. He must being paid on somekind of commission, because he lied about the charges. They are not honest in their dealings do not trust the mechanic there to do any fitting service advertised, you will be ripped off.

Friendly service but advised parts that ended up not being compatible. I then paid for the parts and waited 2 hours for installation before the error was realised. Waste of my Saturday afternoon. Could have been avoided.

This store's customer service on the phone is non-existent, you can connect to one of their 3 departments but then end up waiting....and waiting...and waiting till it rings off saying everyone is too busy to be bothered by you, or so it should say because I have driven there in less time than it takes to connect to a person, just to see they're not busy at all!
Or if I do eventually connect to another department than I originally wanted because I've not ben answered 20minutes and 2 phone calls later, they then very helpfully connect to to the same number you've just told them is not bothering to answer you....can you see how circular/defeating this process is...and it is very consistently the case.
So yes, if you have waay too much time on your hands, are close to death and want that extra incentive to book yourself into dignitas, then give this company a call. They'll at the very least motivate you enough to leave a similar glowing review.
