Another disappointing halfords service. Booked an appointment advertised on the website following the link from tube/tyre replacement service. I received the email invite for specific time slot and when arrived was refused the service as they do not honour any bookings, and they did not have time/staff to provide any specific service.

the worst service I have seen, they charged me 50pounds for the service and I had to borrow a pump from them and pump tyres myself .. the brakes still do not work, only the gears set, nothing else and they say that everything is great, I used the goverment voucher so I had no choice but if I alone I had to pay for it, I would not pay a penny, I do not recommend leaving your bike there ..

Staff are unqualified to work on repairing or building bikes. The week I collected my daughters bike, one of the staff members told a customer in front of me that her bike was *unfixable*. She looked like she was going to collapse with disappointment. The issue is not the fact that it could not be repaired. They shouted it out and then I saw people laughing. This poor woman.

I just purchased a road bike. A yang man his name is Matt he was great and spent the time with me in the store to showed me lots of bike with details till finally I found mine and bought from them.
The other staff also are polite and help full .

A good range of products at competitive prices in a large store. Also quite easy to search for what you need on handy computer screens; you just put your number plate in and the part you need. They also offer an instant fitting service which is not too expensive and is also efficient and effective. A little impersonal perhaps.

One of the largest Halfords stores, this is situated on two floors. The top floor is dedicated to cycling and is accessed by a small lift or via the staircase. Customers can test ride bicycles around the displays to get an idea of whether they like it or not. The larger ground floor contains everything else, and is fully accessible at street level. There is free parking outside. I have used this store a lot over the years. I've found the staff helpful, and if they can't answer my question, can usually find a more experienced staff member to help. This time I had a click and collect item to pay for. I was served quickly, and the lady was cheerful and friendly. I find it very good for parts and accessories, and will be going here again in future.
