Derby House Dental Practice

I would like to make a constructive complaint about me and my Son's experience of attending the Green Lane Dental Surgery. We attended the surgery on the 6.3.21 at 11.14am and the receptionist informed us both that we would have to wait outside until the nurse called us in as the waiting room was closed. My Son -15yrs and myself then waited till 11.45am outside in the cold with temperatures of 4c as your dentist was running late. Once inside the dental practice both me and my Son took several minutes to warm up and then were seen be the dentist. Communication via your text messages and website did not say your waiting room was not in use or that there would be waiting time outside the dentist on the street .If I was informed the waiting area was not in use and I would be waiting outside for half an hour in the cold we would have been better prepared to do so being more appropriately dressed . To prevent more vulnerable people that me going through a similar experience I would strongly recommend you update your website and text messages to better prepare people for a wait outside in the cold weather. Very Disappointed in my experience at the dental surgery today

Myself and family have attended this dentist since it opened, always been really happy. Never had a bad experience. Receptionist really helpful especially Bev. Highly recommend.

I can only shout praises for all employed at this Dental Service. I am absolutely terrified visiting a Dentist, reception Staff was lovely and really cared, nurses in the room where amazing and the Dental Specialist was absolutely a STAR! I cannot be any more thankful to all of them, that they respected my fear and embraced me. The best Dentist I have ever seen in 40 years

Lovely dentist ramdep I think her name was. She was lovely and amazing with my tooth extraction. Definitely would recommend . Normally so scared at the dentist but she took the time and made me feel at ease. Thank you so much

Had an emergency phone call appointment, dentist rang me at half an hour before closing. She wrote me a prescription and told me someone needs to get it as they are closing down at 1pm, saying I still have half and hour. Asked if my prescription could be sent electronically to a local pharmacy, but they dont use that service. Had a friend drive there, he was there at 5 min to 1, and was told to come on Monday. Really upset over it, as I'm left with really bad gum infection, and have to isolate before of high temperature related to it.

I'm a patient with Derby House Dental Practice. I recently had an emergency with an infected tooth, and was fit in for an appointment the same day to lower the pain, followed by another appointment not 48 hours later to finish it off. This is hands down the most professional and welcoming dentist I've ever used, From Suki (my dentist) to her assistant and the front of house - thank you. You saved me a lot of pain and was wonderful, polite and understanding from start to finish. I cannot recommend this Dentist enough!

Really polite & nice, cannot fault this dentist in any way, I'm petrified of dentists, but a good friendly practice, highly recommended

make sure to arrive to you appointment approx 15mins early since as little as 3 minutes lateness will cause them to turn you away, reschedule your appointment for another 4 week wait. Might be worth topping up your 4G and grabbing a power bank whilst you're waiting for your appointment and you find yourself looking for a better dentist in the area

I had an appointment for the exact time they opened. I arrived 10 minutes early, the door was open, receptionist inside and lights on etc. It was heavily raining and I had my 1 year old in a pushchair with me. I opened the door, gor her to run at it and lock it. When I said I have an appointment she said you need to wait outside until the time. Just ridiculously appaling customer service. The receptionist staff always lack an ounce of customer service and how I've heard them speak to elderly patients is appaling also. They do not clean teeth on appointments of NHS patients or do general needed work unless its absolutely urgent. The whole place looks like it needs a good clean and new management, notices and safety signs are printed and blue tacked on doors etc.

Has nothing to do with NHS reputation. Reception is terrible.

Not organised don't do any work on you teeth for NHS patient's overall I have moved dentists and had to have a lot of work done. I have give it one but that's generous.

I like the dentist I have she always make me feel relaxed as I hate going to the dentist but all the staff are really friendly and make u feel comfortable

Highly recommend, very professional and I have experienced very bad dental practices in my time, extremely helpful with people that know what they are doing!
