We have only recently registered with churchcroft vets. However we know from the short time we have been with them, the service and care for our animals is 5*
The staff are polite and professional, and show compassion with the animals and always offer sound advice. Nothing is too much trouble, and they go above and beyond when dealing with your pets.
We have not had any trouble getting an appointment.
We are very happy we changed to this vets and I would recommend them to others.
On a side note we had a recent trip to the vets and unfortunately our vans battery gave up. We were stuck there with not much hope.
A kind member of staff spoke to George and explained the situation. George rang his own home in order to get us some jump leads dropped off at the vets (which they did).
This was a huge help and Julia was most kind and helpful along with George. This is the vets going out of their way to help, and it wasn't even veterinary related. Top notch people ????

I would like to say a huge Thank You to George, Sarah and the team at Churchcroft for Harry's recent treatment. Harry is 13 years old and has suffered from chronic arthritis for many years. Having been told by our previous vets that nothing more could be done for him, we came to see George. Since then, Harry has had the benefit of the Aquamid injection which has been amazing. The results are beyond anything we could have hoped for. He is like a puppy again!

Massive thank you to everyone at Churchcroft. We have a 12 week old puppy who has had more than a few issues including eating a stone! Costel, George, Sarah and all the nurses have been so helpful. They are incredibly knowledgeable, explain everything & are very reassuring and kind. Hopefully Mabel won’t have to go so often but for any new pet owners I would highly recommend.

The vet nurses are lovely but the owner treated my poor dead cat abysmally. Just glad they aren't my regular vet, and heartbroken I had to pick my poor boy up from them.

We had taken our sick bird to the above practice, they informed us that they would be getting the relevant instruments in within a couple of days to perform the necessary treatment (Crop Washing). We then waited for a call, after a week we contacted the vets still no instruments arrived, in the mean time our dear little bird of 2 years passed away I was so so upset. NINE WEEKS LATER the surgery phoned to say the instruments had arrived. If they did not have the necessary equipment they could have recommended a local vet with instruments that specialised in Avian pets to perform the procedure.The complete lack of communication was appalling. Sorry would not recommend this practice. Obviously not enough money in it to be worth their while.

We visited Churchcroft with our elderly dog as an emergency as she had taken ill. It was our first visit and the staff were so welcoming. Unfortunately following further tests, we had to have our dog put to sleep. The staff were so compassionate and caring right until the very end. They even sent us a card afterwards. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I cannot fault the care that Churchcroft have provided to my cat. their monthly payment plan is extremely good value and they have always identified issues swiftly and treated her with such care and attention. Additionally the practice have gone above and beyond to help sort out claims through my insurance and I have also been extremely impressed by the precautions they are taking for COVID 19 (as a Doctor I find this very reassuring).

George and his team have been FANTASTIC with our cat Tia who sadly we had to have put to sleep as she had a particularly nasty tumor. George operated but it was more severe than we thought and although she got through the operation she suddenly deteriorated but the aftercare and compassion was wonderful. I received daily email updates from George as to progress and Aileen sent me a lovely picture of her and she was so happy with all the attention she received but sadly she had a bad night and the decision was taken. I cannot praise George and his staff enough, we have moved around the country had a cat since we married 60 years ago and none of them came anywhere near Churchcroft. So thank you very much George and Churchcroft for everything you did for our lovely Tia. Dorothy & David Rayment.

After picking up our two kittens unfortunately one was found to have parasites. Everybody who we have dealt with thus far has been very knowledgeable and happy to help. Test results came back very quickly and we were informed of the results promptly. George in particular has been very helpful, happy to offer reassurance and advice during Harry's treatment. Even on a Sunday when the practice is closed he was able to provide a probiotic and anti biotics for our little guy. Very pleased we chose this vets as they seem to care about Harry's wellbeing as much as we do.

I travel 30 minutes to use George and the team, because I compete internationally and feel that their experience provides me with the best car for my dogs. The fact that they are truly independent, rather than franchise controlled is a huge bonus too. There are close vets to me, but I've never had better service anywhere else.

Well Done!!! How nice to see behind the scenes at Churchcroft Veterinary Centre yesterday. Having been a client of theirs for many years we have experienced the skills, expertise, care and kindness of all those at the practice. The chance to see the extensive changes to the surgery was amazing and the addition of the new equipment will enable George and his team to carry on the fabulous work that they already do. If anyone is looking for a vet for their pet then this is the place for you. 5 Stars!!! We would recommend Churchcroft Veterinary Centre every time without hesitation.

We (or rather our cat Susie) has been a client for the past 10 years. She was a rescue cat who was very nervy, and going to the vets was never her favourite thing to do. George and the whole team has always shown great care & compassion when dealing with our shy, nervous girl.
None more so, than over the last few weeks when unfortunately her health took a serious downfall, and we had to make the very difficult decision to let her go. Again George and the team were there every step of the way, and made the most difficult time that bit easier.
A few days later we received a lovely card offering sympathies and ensuring we knew we had made the right decision - something I am sure all owners worry about at this difficult time.
I can not reccomend them enough, and thank them all for the care shown to Susie in her final weeks.

Unfortunately we have been to Churchcroft a lot over the last year and a half with both our cats and rabbits and we have become fairly familiar with most members of staff. Gabby and George are the best vets I've used for a long time. They are all friendly and helpful and we get a personal service here which is great. Overall we have had a great experience so far even though we have had some unusual problems with our animals, they have listened to our concerns and given great advice. I look forward to seeing the new surgery when it's fully finished

The care Misty receives from George is second to none, sometimes I think he is treating his own cat. George is a fantastic vet and always explains everything so clearly that even I understand. Everyone at Churchcroft Vets have contributed to Misty enjoying her old age and I would not take her to any other vet.

Fantastic care for all animals! I found an injured pigeon last night and took it home expecting it to have passed away this morning, it was still breathing. I headed to my vets for advice on what to do and the lovely receptionist asked me to bring it on for them to take care of. I called the practice later and it had to be euthanised. They thanked me for bringing it in! It is them who need thanking for their care. Highly recommend. Thank you to such a great team!

George and the staff have looked after, and cared for, my border collie Travis, over a number of years. They are kind and lovely people and were always there to give advice and help for the well being of Travis. It is obvious that they really do love the animals. Indeed, whenever I took Travis there, for whatever reason, he would still wag his tail and offer his paw. Unfortunately, we lost Travis recently, from a lung tumour. We had a lovely letter of condolence from them, which I believe, was truly genuine. If, or when, we get another dog it will most certainly be cared for by Churchcroft.

Recommend products they can sell at nearly 300% mark up. Obviously I would pay anything to keep my pet in good health but feel like these only care about selling you all the extras they can and that your pet comes second.

I am so impressed with Churchcroft Veterinary Centre - our cat, Panda, had suffered nasty injuries after being hit by a car and was looked after extremely well. Amongst other injuries, his jaw was smashed, but George was able to wire it together, and after a few grueling weeks of tube-feeding poor Panda we found it had mended well enough for him to eat normally. Throughout it all George was wonderful - very kind to both us and Panda, and we realised that he has an amazing way with animals. Evan after all he went through, Panda is always relaxed and happy to see George on his visits to the Vets, all the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend Churchcroft to anyone who loves their pets.

George has been fantastic with my cat Max, who had an unfortunate run of various injuries a few months back. I take both my cats to him and use Churchcrofts monthly pet plan, which has proved to be great value for money.
George, along with his team are always extremely friendly and have such a caring approach to all the animals I've seen them interact with.

Having had animals from a very young age I have experienced many vets in many different cities. George at churchcroft is by far the best. Our Yorkshire Terrier Bertie became a patient of George when he developed a tumour which other practices had recommended putting him to sleep. George identified and carried out a procedure to remove the tumour and return Bertie to an active life. During the past five years George and his excellent team continued to care for Bertie treating various maladies associated with an ageing dog allowing us to enjoy time with our wonderful pet & friend.

If you are in search of a caring, passionate and skillfull vet then look no further as you've found it.
We were fortunate enough to register Forrest the Cat with this surgery when we first got him home and signed up for the monthly care package, as well as a pet plan policy (which we sorted ourselves direct from the breeder).
Unfortunately for forrest he developed health issues but we should not have worried. 'Uncle george' as we call him had it all under control and fortunately forrest is now in full fitness after a lot of stress on our part.
As you can probably tell we cannot rate this practice enough, and all of the staff are helpful and caring.

As any pet owner knows their pet is part of the family and loved greatly and when they become ill they deserve the best possible care.
Sadly last November my terrier had to be put to sleep he was around 14 years old and very special to my family and I. Scampy was a special dog he was diagnosed with Glaucoma in his younger life and very sadly had to loose both of his eyes he managed amazingly he was happier he wasn't in pain. Scampy didn't much like the vets he was scared of them and sadly some vets didn't know how to handle and treat him.
Around 6 years ago I booked Scampy in with George at Churchcroft, I was nervous I had never met George and I didn't know how Scampy would react to him but there was no need George obviously loves animals and it shows Scampy loved him he would let George do anything to him as long as he got a treat at the end. Over the years George showed Scampy love, compassion and above all the best treatment and care we could wish for I only wish George had cared for Scampy from the very beginning.
Churchcroft is like a family George leads a very knowledgeable team his Nursing Staff are fantastic and treat each animal with love. Towards the end of Scampys life George was joined by a new vet she too cared for Scampy with love and compassion at an extremely difficult time she was with me when Scampy was put to sleep I dreaded that day ever coming but she helped get us through it with love and support.
All these months later we have a new dog 'Badger' we carry Scampy in our hearts Badger has brought joy to our life's and I would never dream of taking him anywhere else but to George and his team.
