where do i even start from? After wasting so much money and time over a number of years with other solicitors, i found mlc by doing some research on the internet and decided to go with them, and today i can boldly say that i made the best decision ever! from the moment i stepped into mlc i met with Alex and Annick, who went through my circumstances with me and advised me of my best options. They didnt over promise and told me exactly how it was and what the likely outcomes would be, Alex worked on compliing my case and had it sent to the HO. all the while we were waiting for a reply, commucication was never broken, i was always kept in the loop. Finally i got the phone call i had always anticipated that my stay had been approved. Before coming to MLC, we spoke to other solicitors in the area, no one has matched the expertise of this office. The office made it feel very confident about our case, which was a very complicated one. We worked closely with Aleksander, who dealt with our case. I had a seriously messed up immigration history. Overstayer for 7yrs, convicted for deception, working illegally!!! Less than 5% chance to ever regularise my stay in UK. Even after getting married to my British spouse and having a British child I wasn't confident enough to apply for Visa. I searched a good lawyer for 3 years. been to some of the top immigration lawyers in Manchester and Oldham. Surprisingly I received very frustrating advice from them. Some said my spouce's income not enough to sponsor me, some said I have to go back to my home country and make new application.
Then one day I googled "MLC IMMIGRATION" and was amazed by their positive reviews. Sent them an email and received a reply from SHERMINA KAMAL the next day. I been given an appointment to discuss my case. BTW it was free of charge. Shermina listened to my 9yrs immigration history, noted every point and asked me some questions. I knew straight away she is very knowledgeable about all those complicated immigration law. On top she is 100% dedicated. I provided all the documents she asked. She checked them very carefully, Wrote a 17page long cover letter with full of information and all the relative casework. eventually made a human rights application.
After 3 weeks I submitted my application I received BRP by post. Whoaaa Been granted a leave under 10yrs partner route. I was shocked. This kind of complicated case easily takes 6month to get a result. All credit goes to SHERMINA who put so much hard work to my case.
I hope and pray that she becomes the number one immigration solicitor in UK.

When I first came here for help I couldn't sleep - that's how scared I was the Home Office were going to come through my door. But Shermina was so calm and reassuring that it instantly put my mind at ease and made me feel confident I could face that because I knew there would be somebody there to support me throughout. Because she was so organised and presented me with a list of what to do, I could focus on it and approach my matter bit by bit and not get overwhelmed by the stress.
At some point Shermina asked if we could involve Aleksander, who was indeed another kind of rainbow and was amazing as he was able to bring up again my happy side, could really understand what I was going to through - and at the same time his casework is brilliant.

I came to MLC after finding them on google and Shermina was my solicitor, I thought the initial consultation will be a quick one but Shermina actually took her time with me asked me loads of questions to get a good idea of my background, which she then gave me advice on different options I have. I was so impressed with her knowledge, attention and confidence she has in her work to tell me I have a good chance of a positive result, that I opened a case the very same day. We decided what route we are going to take and Shermina gave me a good idea what documents I need to support my application to improve my chances and she got my application ready in just over 2 weeks from my initial consultation, which she made sure I double check before it was submitted with the priority service. I used MLC service for my spouse visa application. Dealt with Tameem at MLC, he is very subject knowledgeable. Never had any issue speaking to Tameem, on occasions when he was busy, he made sure to call back when free, it was more like a family/friend relation than a customer - business. Trust me our case was not easy 1 application refusal and deportation from the port after cancelling the visa. In past I have done many applications on myself and hence know many things from my experience. With MLC I just visited their office ones to hand over original documents and sign few things rest all was done over emails and phone.
I used MLC after burning my fingers with other well-known solicitors and it was a real pain in the back side. Many times they didn’t even bothered calling back and the case worker changed 3 times even before putting the application forward to the immigration. There was months of delay in all this and when everything was ready I was made redundant from the job. Then there was a month gap between my old and new job and they said it’s very difficult to get a success on the application now as its financial instability. And suggested to wait for 12 months before putting the application forward.
Then I did google search and found MLC, read their reviews and discussed the case with Tameem. He sounded positive and hence went ahead with them.
Highly recommend MLC for their service. And will be using them again for the renewal in 2 years time. Thanks to Tameem and MLC my whole family will be together now.

From reading existing reviews, I decided to choose MLC to deal with my case, which proved to be the best decision I made. I had multiple unsuccessful applications in past, based on dependant of a EU citizen, which had been going on for 20 years. I have been to many lawyers in the past, with the latest being Malik Law Solicitors, Birmingham, after spending many hours and money I was always left with disappointment. Thankfully, I approached MLC and I was welcomed by Aneek (an immigration solicitor in that branch) who spent a lot of time listening to everything and understanding my entire case, without the feeling of being rushed. He never forced upon me to choose them for my case. His advice was very honest, always sharing the negative and the positive along the way. I decided to give my case to MLC. After Aneek studied my case, thoroughly, he made a decision to involve Alek with my case, as he specialises in European law. Me and Alek had several meetings in preparation to filing the case, he truly put his full effort and focus towards me and the case. On the final note, once he was happy with all paperwork, discussions and documents presented to him, both Aneek and Alek reviewed the entire case together to be 100% confident about everything.
So after 20 years of disappointment, struggle and my life on hold, thanks to Aneek, Alek and the team at MLC Immigration Lawyers, my case was approved with the best possible outcome, which was permanent residency, on the first application with MLC. Overall, I just want to let everyone know the entire team has been extremely thoughtful and passionate.
