First time, for a friend's 40th birthday. Warm, cosy, comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff, place looks older inside that out. Some amazing moulded coving and ornate ceilings. The food, was hot, staff Managed to serve a table of 20 happily. I can highly recommend the burger, ignore the price and forget the last Spoon's burger you because this was lovely. Going back again.

Really tasty food, wish it was closer to home so we could visit more often! Very fast service, especially considering it was a busy Sunday lunchtime. Staff were friendly both over the phone when reserving the table and when we arrived. Highly recommended, especially since they cater for veggies, vegans and those who follow a gluten free diet.

We had not reserved a table and they were very busy, but an extra table was laid for us and we were served immediately.

We came for a late Sunday lunch. They have a separate vegan menu and the vegan options we had were fantastic. The crumble especially was exquisite. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended

Had a very pleasant evening here. Staff superb in every way. We had not booked but they accommodated us even though they were extremely busy. Food excellent. Beautifully presented and very fair prices. They do a good range of smaller appetites and they still were very generous portions. Well done to their team.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!
We only live down the road and it took us a while to get around to going in - I think because it's right on the corner of a busy junction and has no (grassy) garden area.
However, the food really is exceptional!... And very well priced - mains between £8 - £12 each (steak slightly more, as usual).
The inside has be very nicely decorated and provides a lovely, calming environment in which to enjoy the food.
Does get quite busy, so always worth booking ahead. Although not strictly necessary.
One thing that makes this place stand out above any other, are the 3 menus: carnivorous, vegetarian and vegan. All properly thought through.
Personally, I fall within the carnivore range, but we have friends who are vegans who are used to having 'a bit of salad' and going home hungry when coming out for meals, and they have all been incredibly impressed with the menu options. And, I must say, when their food has arrived, it looks and smells amazing - same as every other plate served there!

Stoped on the way home to be met by friendly staff who made up a table to fit us in, served us quickly and the food was excellent for us parents and the kids! I could tell the team really cared about the place and the people in it - which unfortunately is rare these days! Thanks for a lovely dinner!

Husband and I were visiting the area and I had researched this place did a vegan menu with quite a few choices. They did not disappoint. My 3 course vegan choices were amazing, my husband enjoyed his fish/meat choices. Staff were friendly and it was reasonably priced it would be my local if we lived nearer.

Excellent food, staff friendly and polite, will definitely go again. If you're in a group they will give you individual bills so no sorting out about who owes what at the end of the evening! Why can't other restaurants do this makes life so simple. Top marks.

First visit and I thought it was great. The food was quick. And the staff very attentive. Very good at knowing when to approach. Great food and my parents loved the vegan menu and they are knowledgeable about the food they serve . Talked about how great the food was for hours. Portion sizes were good. You do pay a bit more than other places but actually as a whole package it's good value.

Went for lunch this Saturday, we were greated nicely and show a table. Service was good and attentive. Bottle of sauvignon-blanc £21ish which was good. Ate from the smaller appitite menu which also was very good portion size for lunch and at £8.95 for plaice and chips with veg, good value.. Would go again.

Amazing food and cozy environment to eat. Downsides are the main road being so close and as such appears to place added pressure on leaving the car park. Overall food and staff were great, highly recommend.
