Price was fair! Seemed very rushed! They aren't great at contacting you. Suspect they are under staffed. When I used the Stockton branch the service was much better so I was quite surprised. Can't say I will use them again.

I wanted to give a minus-star but that's not available here. Sharp practice. Ignore the negative reviews at your peril. My car went in for a routine cambelt change at 60k miles - I drove the car no more than 2 miles and broke down. AA recovered the vehicle and suggested it may be a faulty coil or distributor or spark plugs - or quite possibly timing as the cam belt had been changed. Halfords took the car back and said that it was pure coincidence they had had the car that day and it had broken down after leaving their workshop. The car never missed a beat before so what had changed? Turns out that Halfords couldn't diagnose the fault so they sent it to Ford who found that the cog that drives the cam belt had been damaged (quite likely dropped when Halfords unbolted it) and this had caused an imbalance in the timing. Good job I didn't listen to Halfords in the first place! I was without my own car for 2 weeks but had the manager's car whilst he was on holiday in Turkey (more about that later). When I collected my car and dropped off the manager's car, the manager made it quite clear that I hadn't been inconvenienced because I had had the use of a courtesy car. I reminded the manager that perhaps he needs to control his staff (they acted like hooligans whenever I turned up to find out what was going on) and that perhaps some of them shouldn't be in customer facing roles if they aren't any good at listening to customer issues. The manager then told me that he wasn't responsible for his staff whilst he was on holiday, that he didn't work when he was on holiday and he couldn't be held accountable - he clearly didn't want to listen to me any more than his staff did.

Poor service car in for interim service washer Bootle empty screen dirty, what confidence does that give you that even the oil was changed!!!!! Booked car in for elderly mother paid upfront no problem. Then fold rear coil spring broken £185 had to go ahead but woundering if can’t get basic right??? Car was in for a MOT with a garage that services and MOT Aston Martin cars!!!! 2 weeks ago. BEWARE

Booked my car in for a morning slot for a service and took it in for 8.30am, service wasn't complete until 5pm! After phoning multiple times (they don't like answering the phone-I witnessed them ignoring it whilst I was in there chatting away to a friend) I was repeatedly told it would be done within the hour from 1pm onwards! They just tell you that so you'll go away I'm assuming. On the last "it'll be ready in an hour" I decided to walk up there for an hours time. I arrived and got told just finishing up, an hour later of waiting in halfords it was finally done. No apologies, just rude, unhelpful staff. Won't be using this autocentre again, such a pity as I have visited havant before and it has much better customer service.

I have given a two star rating as I considered the cost of replacement spark plugs to be expensive compared to what a set of plugs would cost from Halfords. Also I ordered two new tyres to be fitted to the front of the car but unfortunately they were fitted to the back instead dispite my instructions and the fact that my rear tyres still had a good amount of tread and the front tyres were almost smooth on the outside! I'm not sure that I'd use an Haldords Autocentre again.

I had the most shocking and disturbing experience in a garage ever!!!booked for a MOT , came back after an hour Witch the manager told me it will take !!! Then I’ve been nearly assault by his member staff !!! And then when I’ve got my car back finally after an 1h25, I’ve been AGAIN nearly assault by the MANAGER , mr Smith!!! What a awful place with unprofessional staff and manager!!!PLEASE AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! I am in contact with the customer service regarding this disturbing event!!the case still open...

I wish I could give 0 stars. I dealt with the Guildford centre and the manager Mark. Overpriced, extra work added to my invoice when it wasn't done (to the tune of over £200), rude staff who had no customer service skills. Mark blamed his supplier and then head office for the problems I'd experienced and called me a liar. They had my car for just over 5 days and in that time they didnt contact me once. I had to call several times. When I went in to pick up my car, Mark said he 'was sorry I felt that way.' When I asked him that surely he should be sorry that I had been let down rather than belittling my feelings he shrugged. I have never had such a bad experience at a garage.

Got there to have tyres fitted and they hadn’t even had the delivery.... tyres weren’t fitted went next door and got seen straight away with a brilliant service!! Not going to Halfords autocentre again to be let down
