Damaged my car and gave me BS. Nice guys when things are going well. But wait until you get the lying waffling sales guy feeding you BS to save his boss a bob at your expense. Not surprised he was called out for lying on these reviews. I would give a Zero if I can. Witnessed him first hand today

I have just used Hares for a full service and MOT on my peugeot. This is the first time I have used them and am very impressed with the level of service at a very reasonable cost. They collected and delivered my car which was an added bonus. The staff are also very polite. A good old fashioned service.
I will certainly recommend them and will use them again. A great experience.

What a great level of service from Hares. My car only needed an MOT yet they were happy to collect and deliver for much less than the standard govt MOT fee. Car was even returned with all paperwork, credit card receipt and loyalty card for future visits! As my car had a main dealer service plan, I have only previously used main dealers. Today I was pleasantly reminded of how much better the service is from local independent businesses!

Only if you want your car Wrecked and told you did it yourself
Car came back with grease oozing out of the CV booth joint that we had paid to get fixed. Went back and they crushed our car as they were checking the unfixed issues. Only go there if you want the frustration of owning a damaged car and being lied to by the sales guy with no clue about what he was brought there to say. What a Pleasant Change,phoned in the morning to say they were on the way to pick up Range Rover and arrived prompt at 8 am.Phoned again in the afternoon to say service and MOT complete and car delivered back just after 4. I have used many garages in the past but Hares just exceeded my expectations even better than main dealer. Well done i will be using you in future for my other cars.

Bought a car just before christmas, pointed out rear lights full of water (from pressure washing evidently). Lights were dried out pre-collection but still filled up again rotting away brake light contacts.
Car was also advertised as £30/ or RFL but was actually £145.
Sales guy not interested in helping once sale made, very unhelpful and telling me wont be covered under warranty.
Luckily Worthing Motors very helpful and is an outstanding recall on the car!
Long story short, make sure car is exactly as expected before you leave cos Hares East Preston couldnt care less after.

Top Quality Service! Purchased a Smart car 14 years ago from Sussex Cars, before it became Hares of Sussex. Always took took my vehicle on the 30 miles each way trip for my annual service and MOT, and still do because the people at Hares are honest, knowledgeable and have the kit to service a Smart Car properly. They always phone to inform you if anything needs doing, prior to carrying out any work, and fortunately over the years not much work has been needed at all. My old Smart finally ended it's life this year with a rather rare split heater matrix making the foot well a bit swimming pool like. Repairs would have been as much as the car was worth, so now it's gone to help other older Smarts to keep going. Happily I now have a younger model Smart Car to replace it. And yes the only place I shall be getting my MOT and Service done is Hares. Well worth the trip!

My sister and I came down to Hares to have a look at a car they were selling. The dealership does have a nice variety of cars at a range of prices. The car looked nice from the pictures however when we saw it on the forecourt, the interior and exterior of the car was dirty and was not what you would expect when a dealership is trying to sell a vehicle. The salesman was honest in the previous history of the car and showed us the paperwork of the previous years. The salesman also didn't seem that interested and just very ignorant.

We purchased a veh a couple of months ago, now time for the review :Looked after by Ryan, he held the veh for a couple of days until I could view, he kept his word, I viewed the veh and left small deposit. Ryan was so helpful and easy to get along with, I drove the veh and was more than happy with what I was getting. That day the car had only had a quick clean on the outside and was filthy inside, Ryan had informed me about this and apologised. No problems for me. We picked the veh up on a date we asked for. It had been valeted inside and out. New cambelt, waterpump, dics and pads and fully serviced, still the same price!! We have a great little car for an unbeatable price. Fantastic no presure sell from a lovely family run business, totally changed my mind about buying veh's from a dealer. I would recommend to anyone and definitely use again. Thank you and well done.

I don't usually leave reviews but in his instance I feel that the Company deserves it. I spent 25 years working for various Ford dealers and left just as the systems were becoming too impersonal. My last car (s/h) came from a local Ford main dealer, one person to show the car, another to value the P/X, another to talk money. Dealing with Alistair and his colleagues at Hares was so refreshing, proper old school service. The negotiations (which went on over several weeks), were professional, cheerful and straightforward. The new car was immaculately prepared, all the paperwork was in order and everything was on time. They did exactly what they said they would do, what more can you ask.

Am back to tell people to be aware what you buy from these people I bought a 57 reg grand picasso sold with 3 issues they said
Needs a clutch rear air suspension fault and it had been keyed
Clutch replaced 750
Air suspention removed and converted to standard springs £400
After a visit to Citroen after car making a horrible noise as 2 of the engine mounts snapped while vehicle was been driven and over £2100 is now needed to repair vehicle at main dealer
The car has only been on the road for 3 weeks
Citroen have found holes in the rear of the car frame work possibly from a disabled lift
Loads of electric and medical faults
Be very aware of 2nd hand used cars here I believe dealer was aware that's why he snapped my hand off when I bought the car
