I paid £122 for some ear drops!!!! The prices are up the roof, the staff abrupt. Stay away from that place. You'll find a better value and care for your pet somewhere else.

We recently had one of our cats put to sleep here. The cat was very old, 18 to 20 years old, which is really old for a cat. The staff were extremely sympathetic and helpful. But what has earned them a 5-star review is the sympathy card we have just received through the post. Thank you to all the staff there, that was a very sweet and kind gesture.

I often have cause to frequent this practice as I care for a number of rescue dogs of all ages, some have ongoing health issues and require regular check ups and medication. I have always found the Reception Staff, Nurses and Veterinarians to be extremely helpful and obliging whenever I telephone or call at the surgery. The fact that they are open 7 days a week is a great advantage unlike some other practices as there is always a member of staff available that knows the history of the animal attending the appointment.

Wasn't happy at all. I took in our pet hamster, wasn't informed of what they were going to do, or asked if ok to do so. I'm on a lower income, I was told eye drops would cost around £20, instead I was whacked with a bill for nearly £60. I understand that they're looking after my pet, but it would have been nice for discussion about what was happening.

It was straight forward. I called to order the treatment for my pets. I picked it up the following day. The order was ready and I was out of the shop within 10 minutes.

Dhalia was nervous when she was taken by the vet into the consultation room. We found this very sad as she is a rescue dog. But she came out wagging her tail so even tho she had had 2 jabs they must have been nice or there would have been barks and howls.

Massively rude receptionist at the desk. During times of trouble & mental health is at an all time low...then head down to Vets4Pets in Reading, where you will be given a Keane CD to cut your wrists with a hell-ish like welcome.
Customer service can be much improved here! If they hate animals that much then I strongly suggest you enter into an alternative market where staff don't have to engage with customers (human or pet formed).

This practice is always excellent in every respect. Everyone cares deeply for the pets they look after, is professional and calm. Having recently been traumatised by a groomer during lockdown - when we returned home Bowie my cat took his time getting out of the car and lay down on the gravel in front of the door, Chilled - is the word I think!

My girlfriend and I had to take her beloved Bella here on Sunday as she had suddenly become unwell.the staff were very kind and considerate to us and to Bella.
Bella was a feisty four-and-a-half year old and so the vet had a little trouble putting in a drip to get fluids into Bella.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful too.
My girlfriend went to tell our frien who had driven us to the vet what was going on. In the mean time closing time had come and when my girlfriend tried to re-enter the store she had a rather unfriendly, unhelpful person saying she couldn't come in.
I appreciate, like everyone, this employee would have been following company policy and would have been keen for the end of his shift but it did seem rather insensitive to not think there may have been a reason for a customer to need to re-enter the store.
My girlfriend was very upset about Bella being Ill and this didn't help her at all.
All in all, except for this, the experience was as good as it could have been in the circumstances.
Unfortunately we had to take Bella to the overnight vet where she later had to be put to sleep.

I called on Friday to make sure the anti parasite treatment for my dog was available for collection next day, sppke to Bettany who said yes.
I came on Sat, only 1 person ahead of us queueing at the reception, the receptionist looked very slow and very stressed and took 45' to give us the medicines. The first 25' she dealt somehow with the customer before me; then she kept apoligizing for keeping me waiting so long, which was an extra 20' during which I am not sure what she was doing.
When she finally gave me the medicines I complained that it seems exaggerate to waste so long for a simple collection that was already prebooked, even more so considering that there was no long queue; she said on weekends there is only 1 receptionist on duty.
Well, that's not good enough.
You need either more people, or quicker people.
I am not going to recommend you to friends, mainly for this rrason, as it wasn't a one off. I had been in similar situations before in this clinic and I had let go... now it's getting too much.

Excellent service provided by all of the staff at Companion Care in Reading. My cat was well looked after and the staff went out of their way to make him comfortable. Would definitely recommend this vets.
