Visited here recently as our usual vet was busy.
Despite the somber occasional of having to have our pet put down, our experience here was positive. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our experience as smooth as possible.

This has been my closest vet clinic for years, but always took my pets to Melvyn Stafford's - which rebranded to MS Vets - Henley (while it was open) and then Sonning Common clinics based on a recommendation.
Then I believe they merged (or were acquired by) the group that runs this Active clinic, and so decided to switch. They have more room and better facilities, so I'm pleased with the change.
I've had a couple of bumps in the road, mostly due to policies around vaccination courses, but they were sorted out easily enough. More than happy to continue using them, and it's nice having them within walking distance.

Been using these vets many years now and very welcoming and nice. They were very good when it was time to have our dog put to sleep they talked us through every step and didn’t rush us one bit giving us plenty of time to say our goodbyes.

So far so good. Excellent advice and fair prices for specialist cat food. There was a 45 minute delay for the vet yesterday but no idea if that's a blip as never seen that there before. Lovely staff, nice setting. NO experience of surgery or major treatment, but for basic ongoing care they are fine. I'm staying with them!

Kind, caring and efficient. The team at Oakley have been looking after my dog for 11 years, she has had various problems but has always received brilliant care from them. Their Healthy Pet Club is also good value. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Vets seem like your usual professionals but receptionists are far from it. At best they look bored at other times they're standoffish. Arrived to pick up dogs' tablets at 12:49pm on a Saturday and as I pulled into the car park they TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS AND LOCKED THE DOOR!!!
They didn't know that I saw. They didn't know what I was arriving for - maybe I had a problem? They closed at 1pm but still, it is a regular thing and takes 1 minute to fulfil! However, I thought, what if I needed singe quick advice or to see a vet urgently?
Their monthly pet Plan is good value but you have to visit every 3 months which is onerous. The admin don't care. Their prices are standard. 3* because of geography and no bad experience with the professionals yet.

We registered both our pets with Oakley when we moved into the area 18 months ago. Being new to an vets is always a concern especially when one of them had quite a complex condition. But Jess Pennock and the whole team at Oakley were amazing as they really care and go the extra mile - We were very grateful when Jess diagnosed hyperthyroidism in our cat, her experience and in-depth knowledge enabled us to get him the required treatment in the early stages and has given him a new lease of life given he's 19 years old. We cant fault the high level of care we have received at Oakley and we were very sad that we've had to leave due to moving out of the area. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this veterinary practice to anyone looking for a vets and we will really miss Jess and the team.
