Replaced my CIM unit December 2018 at a cost of over £300. It has been faulty during lockdown and finally was in a position to get it checked, the unit was faulty again, despite the large cost I previously paid, they have just quoted me over £400 this time to fix the same problem again. No offer of good will gesture despite the unit being a known common problem. Very disappointed and let down!!!

Feel massively let down to be honest. After getting ripped off at Halfords I thought I would take my Vauxhall to an actual Vauxhall garage for peace of mind. The problem I had was two error codes, PO365 and POO114. The first being the camshaft sensors needing replacing and the second code they apparently couldn’t work out what it was. Their advice to me was “as we’re not sure what the code exactly is, we suggest replacing the whole camshaft” which they quoted £1100 for!! I declined the work and took my car away the same day. After doing some research, I found out that there’s a chance that POO114 could be the camshaft solenoids. I purchased a pair of sensors and solenoids for £50 and changed them myself. The car runs beautifully!! Their wrong diagnosis nearly cost me over £1000, and it makes me sick to know that I could’ve parted with that when I fixed it for £50. Hugely disappointed.

I have always used Steeles for my various Vauxhall cars over the past 32 years living in Worthing, and have never had a bad experience. Their expertise in Vauxhall means they can diagnose, service and repair them in quick order, always getting it correct first time with minimum fuss and keeping the costs down. The clutch bleed they just performed sorted out my spongy pedal perfectly, thanks Steeles again.

I had an intermittent issue with my Astra which had been developing over a couple of months. Frustratingly, I was never able to replicate the fault whenever I brought the vehicle in. Ben in the Service department was really helpful in trying to understand the issue and when it did eventually show up, applied on my behalf to Vauxhall to cover the cost as a known fault.
Ben was great in explaining the issue and kept me up to date for the week that my car was out of action. Whilst I have been going to Steeles for a couple of years now, this time around was really exemplary.

Needed some work carrying out under Manufacturer's Warranty (2ndvan bought from 3rd party) and when making the booking was advised there had been a recall which they could also do.
Checks were carried out, their normal practice, and dangerously low lifespans on all brakes found. They also identified a further Warranty item.
Very easy to deal with, very transparent. Competitive pricing for non Warranty work.
Highly recommended!

Steeles of Worthing has done really a lot for my car. In getting old, the car ran into loads of problems, which they fix promptly, and made sure the car ran safe on the road, which it did. They are very professional, all works were discussed with me and appropriately quoted. Full marks.

Initial phone contact was very helpful and an appointment made for repair. When I arrived a very friendly welcome and the car was taken to the workshop. The fault was confirmed and repair started, whilst I waited. Once fixed, I was on my way back home in about an hour. Could not fault the curtesy and service I received.

Only issue was need for car collection, was suggested price range, but not clear at time that it would be a 3rd party engagement, and need paying cash on collection. Also price was significantly greater than originally predicted, which for a trip of less than 0.5miles was surprise.

Having a problem with my car I first went to the warranty company as felt it might be covered, was surprised that Steeles of Worthing wasn’t one of their ‘preferred’ garages to use considering it is a Vauxhall specialist and had been looking after this car previously, instead they sent me to the local Halfords garage, at the time I wasn’t concerned, however, not only did 8 have to get the car there myself for 8 in the morning they then did. I thing until 12 when they emailed the warranty company who then said they needed to contact me, at 16:45 approximately I phoned them to find out what was happening to find out they had done nothing and the fact I had to contact them, ultimately I was very annoyed with Halfords and I will probably never use them again.
Was able to get my car booked in with Steeles of Worthing two days later, they were able to pick up the car and in a few hours the problem was found, unfortunately due to no fault of Steels the part required could not be sourced for a few days but they were willing to get the car back to me, however, I was not in great need of the car at that time and would. It have been happy to use it being concerned I might cause more damage.
Steeles did try and get Vauxhall to agree that as this was a known fault to pay at least something towards the cost, but as we know with most of these companies they don’t often like to admit to it being a problem with their merchandise, the car was returned to me in 2 working days repaired and had even been given a clean up.
Have to admit I was always led to believe that using a franchised garage would cost more, but in the 3 times I have needed to use this garage they have been a pleasure, at no extra cost they will pick up and return your car and if they have time give it a bit of a clean, they keep you informed of their progress and don’t try and fob you off, always found whoever I’ve spoken to to be polite and caring, being a woman has not made them talk to me as if I know nothing (not that I do know the workings of an engine in any real knowledge) and feel they are willing to listen.

I volunteered to wait whist car was repaired and though the wait was longer than anticipated (because a specialist engineer had to be called in to extract a glow plug without damaging the engine and fortunately he could it same day) there was a decent enough telly and a free coffee machine (plus my smart phone ) to pass the time.

Absolutely pleased with the service that I had when I booked my car in for a service.
Was welcomed even before I walked through the door by a member of staff.
Went it and received another welcome too.
Handed over the keys and waited. I was there early and they started the service before the appt time.
The mechanic that carried out the service was also polite, approachable and friendly.
Would definitely go back for my next service or even if I needed anything else done.
