My wife is a patient of Dr. John Geisler at CTCA, Newnan GA. Each trip we make from Tampa to here is a warm, friendly and caring visit. The whole process is on point and professional..... Dr. Geisler, has given my wife hope and time when Moffitt Cancer Center after two years treatment said go home and prepare for end of life.. They had reached the end of this treatment... Thanks to the internet and my wife's determination to fight, CTCA,, my wife has lived two years strong... Thank you CTCA and Dr.John Geisler Herb and Denise Guinup

Wonderful Doctor, takes her time, all interactions with staff here has been nothing short of AWESOME !! Husband being treated like a human being here !! Even the fact that this was our third opinion, and it was discovered that the first two were WRONG, and I asked "How could these previous doctors have dared to treat him, when they hadn't diagnosed him properly?", the Doctor looked at me, and simply said "Spilt milk, We go on from here." Loving this place !!!!!!! Dr. Bonta continues to provide compassion and encouragement to us, for my husband to keep on improving his life, he has been cancer free since January 2016!!!! ????

Yes I wrote 4 years ago that CTCA were the best in treatment for Cancer and that is true for the location in Oklahoma..NOT Atlanta's location!!! That location is politically motivated and let patients die as they did my daughter. She was doing so well even tho she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2011. She was getting treatment here in DeKalb medical and it was one delay after the other each time she went for an appointment. They were more concerned about how they were going to get paid than treating the cancer which was growing constantly giving us the runaround about getting Medicade it was a total disaster. I could see them butchering her and she would have died long time ago. But because I researched and contacted CTCA and was referred to the closest location which was Oklahoma and those folks worked a miracle treating her and Iam so grateful for Dr Frame and all of the medical staff that was there during those 5 years she was treated there. Atlanta location need to close down because they are just like traditional medical facilities like Northside, Emory and DeKalb Medical...The srong chemo and radiation kills the patient because its too strong and not given based on each individual person's case and their body and let's not forget the bureaucracy of waiting for and appointment while your cancer is growing inside your body while the medical staff is sending you in different directions to see this doctor and that supposedly specialist...you are slowly dying...just as Shamekia did and Iam angry beyond belief!!!! CTCA in Newnan Oncologies Mary Ninan and Haritha Pabbathi and Lung doctor were never on the same page when she went to her appointment...they were in disagreement of whether they saw cancer or not one said yes the other said no..This is why she ended up leaving there going to Northside where Dr. Nancy Wiggers who were supposed to be the best but her ghetto staff canceled her appointment because she was late getting there and the Dr refused to see her even after I called to try to straighten the mess out...Do not go there, Emory Dekalb Medical or CTCA in Georgia because they are more concerned about getting paid rather than your health. Take this posting seriously folks I know what Iam talking about because I fought the battle with my daughter trying to get her good health care to treat her cancer and they always gave us the run around. She had great insurance too but that didn't matter.. We didn't have money up front a lot of times and they didn't wanna treat her unless we could fork up cash....By the time she found a Doctor out in Lawrencevill, Dr. Pravee Sivakmaran Oncology and Garimella a Lung Doctor, her cancer had spreaded too far...These two Doctors were amazing and their staff and at Lawrenceville Medical in Duluth and Lawrencevill were truly professionals that were concerned about her as their patient....They tried everything to save her...So of you are ever diagnosed with Cancer see them or go to one of the other locations of CTCA anywhere except GEORGIA....THEY WILL HELP YOU DIE!!!! If we had been able to stay with the Oklahoma CTCA I believe she would still be alive...Yours truly...Angry as Hell Mother at Georgia's Health Care System!!! Patients ...Yolundrea Shamekia Floyd Mother Henrietta Hughes

Doesn't care to let patients now when they are going out of network, and doesn't care enough to work with the patient (even long term ones), financially in these circumstances. You know how much this treatment costs, why make it harder for people who are already going through so much?

Cancer treatment center of america Atlanta, is the ideal environment to assist with overcoming cancer. I have nothing but great things to say about the caring, talented and loving team of Ctca. They do it right here and allow the patient EVERY opportunity to survive, and thrive and be an active part of their healing...and for that I am truly grateful. From the housekeeping members to the culinary staff to the nurses to the Surgeons...every one I spoke with and interacted with made me feel good and important. Do what you can to get into a ctca...it will bless your life. GOD BLESS YOU ♡

Best Cancer treatment place ever. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, we called CTCA and they flew us in, within no time my mom was in treatments and 6 months she got cancer free. The staffs are so friendly and caring. They go out of the way and answer all your questions and give you best answer and helps anyway possible to make your each visit pleasant as possible. From shuttle drivers, janitors, receptionist, nurses, technicians and doctors we've got the feelings likes its a home away from home. All of them greet us with smile and hugs on each visit and give you updates. On scheduler, they arre so great, they put together the schesule based on your need. We fly in from Miami in the morning and by evening we will have many tests, chemo and any other treatments and done and by evening they drop us at the airport and back to home. Thank you CTCA for your great service and helping us.

They have been truly wonderful with my Mom as she has undergone treatment the last 6 months. They provide her not only with medical care, but with emotional support on all levels. It will be sad for her when she finishes her treatment because she has come to see them as her family and will miss seeing them!

We traveled from Idaho to visit this facility on the recommendation from a close friend. Our local doctors discouraged and outright objected to us investigating any CTCA hospital because they are not considered a “research facility” by their standards. When we initially visited the center for consultation we explored their processes and treatment plans with a healthy degree of skepticism. After three days of analysis we felt this center was the right choice for us. CTCA employees are considered “stakeholders” in the organization and everyone we met reflected this level of commitment. People love working here. We visited and investigated multiple hospitals including the top cancer treatment research facilities before we decided on CTCA. I would encourage you to do the same if possible. There is something extremely special and unique about this place you have to experience to understand.

Don't believe all of the sunshine from their ads. I called them today to talk about getting a family member in for a 2nd opinion. Within 3 questions they asked what kind of insurance my family member had. I told them they had Medicare and BCBS as a supplement. They said that they were not accepting anymore medicare patients. I offered to pay them out of pocket for a 2nd opinion and they said NO. Since they accept limited medicare patients that cannot accept a full payment from a family member for services. They do not care about the elderly they are for profit and accept only certain patients that will not impact their reported statistics they report in their heart warming ads.

First experience with CTCA was when my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 non-hodgkins lymphoma. Our experience was very good. His doctor was the chief oncologist at the time and the doctors team was wonderful. My husband's treatments consisted of 6 rounds of chemo and each lasted 5 days/24 hours a day. He was inpatient and I was allowed to stay in his room. His nurses were wonderful and we felt like he had gotten the best care he could have possibly received. He went into remission and has been on a maintenance therapy for almost 2 years now with no return of the cancer. Last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer so I opted to come to CTCA. Much had changed. I didn't receive the best treatment I could have received. I went through all the conventional chemo treatments and my doctor wanted me to stay on one chemo drug as a maintenance therapy indefinitely. I kept asking if I had any other options since the side effect of this drug was severe neuropathy in my case. They were supposed to have requested testing of the lung biopsies to see if I was a candidate for an immunotherapy drug from the very beginning. I asked each time I went for my regular treatments and they never had any results back and were going to check and let me know. My doctor kept telling me that it wouldn't matter because she would suggest the chemotherapy I was on no matter what the results were. I finally pressed her after I had finished my 6 rounds and had had one of the maintenance treatments and told her I definitely was not interested in any more chemo since my tumors had never shrunk and I wanted to know what else she could offer. Reluctantly, she said I could go on an immunotherapy drug as a maintenance instead of chemo. Since I was traveling about 4 hours each way and I knew I could get the same treatment done at a local cancer center, I transferred my care from CTCA to a local oncologist. What really has upset me is that my new doctor, right away, requested the genetic tests that I had been waiting for for months, and had the results by my next visit. Because of the results, I was a candidate for a drug called Keytruda and I could have had Keytruda instead of undergoing the chemotherapy. It could have been my first line of treatment and I probably would not be dealing with the severe neuropathy that I have. After one treatment, I can already tell that the side effects are not going to be as severe as taking the carboplatin and alimta. I suppose that there must be a reason that I was denied this option, and I have a pretty good idea that it has to do with money. That is the biggest reason I am no longer a fan of CTCA. Another is that one of the things I really liked about CTCA when my husband first started there, was the cafeteria. Most of the food was supposed to be organic and I think, back then, it probably was. You could get grassfed beef for a hamburger, you would get real maple syrup for your pancakes instead of the maple flavored high fructose corn syrup choice you have now. I asked one of the ladies serving in the cafeteria about why they didn't offer the grass fed beef anymore, and she said because it cost too much. I thought it was nice when they offered a discount to patients and caregivers in the cafeteria and I wouldn't have minded that they discontinued the discount if they had kept up their standards but to pay more for less... not very impressed. There were so many differences from the time we began with my husband until I left and in such a short period of time. I think many people who have bragged on CTCA in the past, would be very disappointed in how they are now. It really seems to be all about the bottom line. And folks, if you are a patient, you are worth many thousands of dollars in insurance money to them. Of course, they are friendly and nice. Just get a second opinion and make sure you really are getting the best treatment for you. I learned the hard way. And I can't go back and undo the damage.

The hospital is going through a lot of changes, no longer do they help the poor, you pay all of your bill or no treatment. No longer helping with food, lodging or mileage. Their guest services are a joke,

I live in Virginia, and came to CTCA after being treated by a local oncologist for about 6 months. My oncologist and I just did not "click". I want to maintain as much normalcy in my life as possible, to include continuing to work, but he was of the opinion that I needed to go on disability as soon as possible. I came to CTCA Atlanta for a 2nd opinion on this and was so impressed with the facility, the staff, and especially Dr. Taha that I started treatment with them that day. I am receiving the same chemotherapy drugs I would have at home in Virginia, but Dr Taha was confident, and so far is correct in his belief that I can continue to work a full 40 hour week. I cannot say enough good things about CTCA.
