Tried to schedule an appointment just to get a second opinion or another option for a treatment plan for stage 4 prostate cancer for my husband and was told 48 hours later that this Atlanta location wasn't taking any new patients from GA. Only new patients had to be from out of state. So I'm going to assume only people with endless pockets can be seen at this facility. To go to the recommended facilities out of state would cost more money on top of trying to pay for a place to live during treatments. Sad just sad. Stop advertising in Ga if you can see any of its residents.

I thank God for the entire experience of CTCA. When given a poor prognosis, you have two choices either to give up or fight like hell. There's no way to know how it will end but I'm completely grateful for a team who were ready to fight with us from day one and still do after a year's treatment. CTCA will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm so glad we decided to use CTCA. It's like a 5 star resort compared to 2 or 3 star. Everyone is so nice, helpful and respective.

I had an opportunity to visit this center during the holiday season 2015, I helped to make Christmas wreaths with patients. The staff was just absolutely adorable and caring. The facility was very neat, clean and colorful. It was an awesome experience. Thanks to all who made this an enjoyable memory! Friends of Ms. Yolanda Pelzer Lansing, Michigan

I began treatment in January 2017 for Breast Cancer. The staff at CTCA Ga is the best I have ever dealt with. Dr. Johnson, my surgeon and Dr. McKnight, my oncologist and their nurses and staff went well above any expectations I could possibly have had. Everyone from scheduling to transportation to the cafeteria staff was very caring, kind and considerate toward me. I HIGHLY recommend this facility for all your needs.

This place is literally my home away from home!! The people are extraordinary, encouraging but most of all loving! You can feel the care floating around the halls and hear it in the voices of every single person you come in contact with! All I can say, for sure, I now have the hope I was desperately seeking out and all I did was walk through the front door!!

The services I received for colon cancer was amazing. This is truly a wholistic approach that cared for me physically, emotionally and spiritually. I will forever be indebted to the staff, nurses and physicians that cared for me and made me whole. I thank God each day that I was blessed to be in such great care.

My experience with CTCA Southeaster Regional Medical Center is the absolute BEST! My daughter has been with this center since February 2016 and she is under great care. Dr. Rich's team is amazing. Dr. Thompson is amazing and Dr Krebs is a gift from GOD in the healing of our daughter.

The Most knowledgeable and compassionate medical professionals I have encountered. My family member was under constant surveillance and whenever there was a change in her vitals' readings it was addressed and remedied immediately. I thank God she was able to be admitted into the CTCA in Atlanta.

Im Shelby DeFrenn and I had non smokers lung cancer. I went to Atlanta for a 2nd opinion. Confirmed. I decided a wanted a cancer Dr to do my surgery. My Dr was Dr Dan Miller. He was an awesome caring Dr. I’m so glad he did my surgery, even though he had to take out lower bottom if my left lobe and lymph nodes I’m cancer free with NO treatments I wouldn’t hesitate sending anyone here. I just don’t understand why some gave this a 1 star. This place doesn’t cause cancer to spread they try and help it from spreading, they are not miracle workers just Drs who care and want to give them their best shot at life. I lost my sister in law that went there but it wasn’t their fault it was just her time.

I am giving one star because you have to hit at least one to leave a review, otherwise it would have been ZERO. I went into this beautiful facility in November 2017. I thought the staff was great. I loved the fact that the hotels and hospital hotel rooms were nice and they paid us for mileage and hotels were super inexpensive. During my 4th visit Dr. McKnight told me that I needed 16 more rounds of chemotherapy. Now when I first started he told me that I needed 4 then I could have my lumpectomy, then radiation. How do you go from 4 to 16?! I opted to proceed with surgery and he sent me to Dr. Anita Johnson(in house). It was obvious that she and McKnight had spoken. Dr. Johnson came in and pulled up my ultrasound and "enlarged" my tumor to frighten me into going back to chemo. I told her that I would like to go on to surgery. She then exhaled and said to me and my husband "You need to do the chemo first because I SEE BLACK WOMEN "DYING" EVERYDAY FROM THIS YOU JUST NEED TO DO THE RECOMMENDED CHEMO FROM DR. MCKNIGHT." It sent my husband into a panic because he lost a family member to this disease many years ago. He just wanted to do what she said. I asked her to leave the room so that I could speak with my husband alone. I did tell her that her approach did not scare me. I got dressed and we walked out right by her and she was silent. I got back to my hometown and went to a facility where I live. CTCA would not send my records. I had to request them many times before they sent them . They placed my port for tx. When it was time for my port to be removed my surgeon in my hometown had complications because CTCA placed it and had it non dissolving thread wrapped around it so it was somewhat embedded. I looked at my EOB's and they were billing like $33,000 per visit for me. The pictures, commercials and facility looks wonderful but some of the staff members are devils!!! Dr. McKnight and Dr. Anita Johnson are the biggest devils that I encountered there. This is just my opinion from my experience. I hate seeing those commercials. When I was doing tx there I told Dr. McKnight that we saw him on one of the commercials. He told us that he wasn't going to do it because they wanted to choose the patient that they wanted for the commercial but he wanted to pick one of his African American patients (which was a member of Congress or some political position). He said he wanted to see more of his people in those commercials. Everytime I see those commercials I get a sick feeling. I feel like those people were just about MONEY!!! I had great insurance so they were doing so many things to "help" me by giving me an extra day to stay after tx to "make sure that I am good". I got tx from some place other than CTCA!!! I am better and I recommend that you and anyone that you know STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE... YOU WANT TO LIVE A HEALTHY PROSPEROUS LIFE!! TREAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU WANT TO BE TREATED AND TREAT EVERYONE LIKE LOVING FAMILY!!! ♡LIVE LAUGH LOVE♡

As a former patient who was dropped by Dr. Hansra and Dr. McKnight because of a difference in opinion about my treatments, I find that the advertised "patient centered" care is laughable. Both of these professionals acted as unprofessional as a doctor can. Dr. Hansra neglected to do a breast exam on me for several months, which led to me having undetected skin mets. Also, Dr. McKnight refused to continue my care based on me asking questions about treatment options via email. I went to CTCA because of the advance and comprehensive care and for a period of time that expectation was met. However, the moment I became an advocate for my care and wellness I was shown the door and to add insult to injury was denied treatment as well.

Tried to call to setup an appointment for my mom. First they said they weren't accepting stomach cancer patients, then when I said it wasn't stomach cancer, they said they weren't accepting liver cancer patients. Then they tried to make it an outpatient issue which didn't make sense. For some reason this person just didn't want us as a patient! Maybe because we are in Georgia? Not sure why they wouldn't even give her a chance! Heartless....

My niece has a rare cancer; Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET). She found a doctor she trusted, a quick, efficient hospital. She was prescribed oral chemotherapy and sent home to return in 3 months for a PET scan. Three months later she returns, her trusted doctor has disappeared; she got her PET and her tumors had enlarged and increased and she was in severe pain. She was refused pain medicine, instead was offered a nerve block ( they had a lot of trouble getting it done). The worst thing was her new doctor told her he knew nothing of NET, had never treated a case of it, and would have to research it and call her back. She left crestfallen ( she’s only 34 years old) and in pain. She went to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and is getting treatment. To add insult to injury her new doctor never called her back, and CTCA wouldn’t send her medical records to Mayo Clinic despite numerous calls on her end and Mayo/Jacksonville’s end. It took weeks for her medical records to be faxed, delaying her treatment. If you have NET avoid the Atlanta franchise of this for profit hospital.

I dont even know where to start!! When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2017, I went to my local cancer treatment center. They did the usual but it was nothing special. When I lost my job & insurance in Dec. 2017, their attitude changed and I was told, "no insurance, no treatment". Well, thanks a lot!! I went online looking for assistance and came across CTCA. I started a chat and told them what was going on, he asked permission to call me, which I said yes. Next thing I know, I have an appointment at the Atlanta center and I haven't looked back!! The day I got there, my new oncologist already had ALL of my test results from my local drs, tissue samples from my biopsy & mastectomy and then ran his own tests & had his plan in place for me. The staff is AWESOME. Even the housekeeping staff greets you and are there for you. Just can't say enough good things about this place. I won't go anywhere else, if, God forbid, my cancer comes back.

I brought my sister to Cancer Treatment of America in Atlanta and I feel it was the best decision she ever made since being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. When we felt she wasn't receiving adequate care at home in Middle Tennessee our only choose was CTCA. The care is wonderful and the staff are the most gracious and friendly I have worked with. All staff seem to really care about the patients well being and care. The patients walk around with a'smile and hope on their faces. Thank you Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta. My mother receives treatment here for lung cancer. Many of the staff go out of the way to speak to you and encourage you. It's a full service private hospital. If you have cancer and you have insurance, this is where I'd start my journey. I am a patient with CCTA in Goodyear (Phoenix) AZ... same level of kindness and care. What is so refreshing for me is their ongoing effort to maintain the schedule they set for you.

The best treatment facility! My mother was diagnosed with oral cancer in January and was treated at Emory University Hospital for over 4 months. I say treated but in actuality they did absolutely nothing. Her cancer spread quickly and our family was told there was nothing they could do. I called CTCA and they began a whole body, mind and spirit treatment plan in a matter of two days. This is the best facility for cancer patients hands down!

My Mother is a patient in Newan and has been for a week. Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma and it has metastasized. In the 3 days we spent in this hospital, they have done more in those 3 days than what her Cancer Treatment Center in Ohio could do in 3 months. The staff is AMAZING. We know her cancer is serious and know the chances arent necessarily in her favor but we have HOPE that they can at least make her comfortable and maybe give her a better quality of life. Her cancer center in Ohio pretty much gave up on her but shes not done fighting! Thank you CTCA for everything done so far! I also want to shout out an employee - a Janitor, Miss Etha. This lady goes out of her way to speak to anyone who will be spoken to. Offers warm blankets, something to drink, helps patients get settled in their wheel chairs (like helping them get their foot on the foot rests). She is a ray of sunshine and me and my Mother just ADORE her!!! The world needs more people like this lady. She has a motherly vibe about her and she is just sweet as sugar!!!

This treatment facility really personifies the fact that cancer is a profitable business and that numbers are the only thing that matter. Today my mother was denied care due to the fact that they only work with patients who's cancer has a higher success rate of survival or remission. Now it all makes sense when they advertise their high success rate. They pick and choose the patients or cases they want to work with. From the moment she was diagnosed she knew she wasn't going to survive this but she did want the best care in order to possibly extend the little time she has just a little further. But no, she wasn't worth their time! My mother's cancer is a very rare type called Signet ring cell carcinoma. What makes her case even more rare is the fact that they can't even locate her cancer. Two colonoscopies, a PET scan, and 1 endoscopy later they still can't find where her point of origin was. She is considered a study case but no one cares to learn about it. They don't make money studying people with rare cancers or coming up with cures. They make their money off the cancer business. Apparently that's what matters. Shameful and disgusting!

My first visit was full of hope and answers finally. And when I returned back home to think things through and call to transfer my care...weeks went by with no return calls. Then the bills for thousands of dollars started coming in. 13 phone calls later only 1 person called me back and it was from financial services, Asking me for money. Not one return call to schedule my appts. Not one for my treatment that was greatly needed. It was all about the money. I was warned this was a scam and now I believe it. What a poor way to treat someone who put all their trust in you...with stage 4 Cancer...to not even have the decency to return a call.

Very disappointed in this place. One hand does not know what the other is doing, scheduling issues, doctors that to me don't seem to know what they are doing. Would not recommend this place to anyone. A friend of mine was s that I ent here and I accompanied to her apts. When she leaves in tears battling an already hard situation this is unacceptable and she/I didn't return. Not impressed at all. Not what it says it is!

My husband has been treated for cancer (and returning cancer) at CTCA over the last 3 years. Our first experience was phenomenal. Everyone was caring and considerate and went above and beyond to make the experience one of hope and encouragement. Fast forward 3 years and now CTCA is just another treatment facility. You're a number, not a name. You have a problem? Too bad. You're in pain. Oh, well. You're late for an appointment through no fault of your own, you don't get in. This is simply not the same place it was 3 years ago. I'm extremely disappointed at the care my husband has received this time around. They tell you "call if you need anything, " yet when you call to speak to someone they sound you're bothering them. I feel like no one cares and no one is willing to put themselves out for their patients. There is no one going the extra mile. There is no one really listening anymore. Cancer is a painful, lonely experience for patients and their caregivers. It doesn't help when you feel abandoned by those you trust to manage your care.

If I have to have cancer, this is where I want to treat it! Everyone is friendly and positive, even other patients and the sweet lady who cleans the bathrooms. I also believe I'm getting the best treatments available to me with the integration of nutritional and naturopathic solutions to minimize side effects.

Couldn't think of a better place to get treatment, from the first phone call to the facility, the doctors, their staff, the treatment, cafeteria workers, the front desk people and the shuttle drivers even the other patients at the facility and anyone else I have forgotten at ctca Atlanta....... best group of people I know, the care, the respect and the love given by all. My Wife of 18 years has Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer. She has been treated at CTCA for the past 15 months. Slowly we have realized the Marketing 'scheme' they propagate is only that, FAKE, BS!!! The Doctors don't know what the other is doing. Even worse than a regular Hospital chain would be. Care for yourself or your family by NOT going to CTCA. IT IS JUST BUSINESS TO THEM SADLY, not actually saving lives.
