Dealt with a women called Georgia absolutely lovely very supportive and gave me great feedback and advise moving forward! She also shared people that where in similar situations such as mine and told me the steps I can take to get to where they’ve ended up at. Very professional and calls every couple of weeks to check up on my progress! Helped with my interview techniques by getting me in a work class and this helped me practice with a recruitment advisor.

John Ryan, a senior consultant from Reed Global Nottingham is the best recruiter that I have ever met. He helped me to get a job within 2 weeks. From the initial point of contact he was very clear and concise in understanding both my requirements and thoughts as a candidate to matching me to the new role.
This was a great start as this lead to two-stage interview where John provided me with detailed and very useful preparation and interview tips.

I went to Reed in Nottingham for an internal role for a Recruitment Consultant. I had no experience at the time but a lot of transferable skills having worked in sales and service roles. I had traveled 2.5 hours as I was relocating here at the time just to attend this interview and one other. I went into the interview and they had decided that I wasn't suitable before I started - they were rude, degrading, picking apart my CV and told me that there was no way I was suitable for the role. I left feeling so low about myself and having my confidence completely knocked back.
I complained, an investigation was started from higher up, it was the branch manager at the time and someone else, and the investigation was started by an area manager. I never heard more which was disappointing but it was a waste of my time to chase as another company gave me an opportunity and I was hired as a Recruitment Consultant. This was less than two years ago, and I am now a Recruitment Manager running a very successful service.
Safe to say when Reed chase me to try and support with recruitment or provide temp staff to my company they are immediately turned away. I've never known anything like them and question who they employ and on what basis, particularly who makes their way into management.

Went for a chat with a consultant to help me look for work. Everything seemed all good and we agreed to work on my C.V. together ready for it to be marketed. Well, after that 1.5 hour visit, I never heard a thing even after sending emails. The consultant told me during our chat that they steer away from people they can’t help so I guess that’s what happened with me. Would of preferred it if she just told me the truth instead of leading me on. Consultants are meant to HELP regardless of the challenge. They obviously only go for the people they know they can place in work as I’m assuming thats how they get their commission. ABSOLUTELY USELESS COMPANY!

My experience with Reed highlighted complete internal disorganisation and misconception. Reed contacted me out of recognition of my online application and offered me a registration appointment where i could discuss what I was looking for. On THE DAY of this appointment, with a few hours notice i was told that consultant can't commit and must reschedule, which is fair and we set a new date.
At my appointment, as a professional with a years technical support experience, a years customer service/finances experience and a current, full-time student, the consultant mentioned my "background in administration" and asked if I'd like to continue working in administration or if I'd consider commission based roles. I HAVE NEVER WORKED IN ADMINISTRATION and am disappointed with this mistake from an individual who had my CV in front of them. On this basis, i hold no faith in becoming a client of this agency.
