Excellent store. I would also like to say a big thank you to Tatum for all her help over the last few months. My wife has been pregnant throughout lockdown and we always have a great chat with Tatum about the joys (and challenges!) parenthood will bring whenever her shift coincides with our weekly shop! Her memory for detail is incredible and she seems to be on first name terms with every customer! A terrific person and model employee.

A real plus to be able to use a 'clean' sanitising machine at the exit door. Surprisingly the scent from the hand sanitiser was also extremely pleasant. As always the store was immaculate, well stocked with staff who were busy and helpful.

Only Fun
Waited ages ( one hour ) in queue for auto-check-out only to find it was bankcard only , no cash taken. I only use cash.
They should have told me about separate queues for cash & card only auto-gremlins.
The assistant did not inform people in the queue of the options to queue in the correct line.
I was going to spend £100 there but me and 5 other's walked out in disgust leaving our baskets where we once erroneously were queueing.
They should have informed people about the system.
And the management are to blame as the worker's are busy, but, perhaps, should have known that the designated signs are not visible at back of queues.
Managment worse than uncaring about vulnerable people ( seniors, disabled and everyone else

Slightly narrow congested access to parking, free for 1 hour (no charge). Inside is very nice and clean, a good range for the size. Not quite the amount of range or options as Sainsbury’s Lee Green for example, but almost!

Great place, good choice of produce, helpful staff. A Big Thank You for allowing key workers to shop in peace on designated days. This is a stressful time for everyone but shopping is one thing i do not need to worry about, thanks to M and S. From a Health Care Professional and my vulnerable Client. Thank you for the beautiful roses too !

An excellent port of call to stock up when the cupboard is bare with local and foreign produce. Large selection, especially wonderful packaging for gifts and very helpful local staff. Carpark rules have changed..no charge if you stay just an hour...you can't buy a ticket and trolleys are coin free.

Generally good stock of the essentials and the extra special. Great to drop into at whatever time for a quick fix or an impromptu shop. Much better than a standard simply food. I'd say it was better than some foodhalls.

Small parking, average sized M+S. A bigger M+S with better parking a mile or so away in Charlton... Never had a problem with the store buy only use the store for small shops.

Well stocked and handy shop, however we had to wait some time for a till to be manned as we had a trolley and the self service tills (basket only) were the only available option. The staff had a lengthy debate about who was going to open the till and which one. There was also an obstruction in the shape of a loading trolley which restricted the exit route somewhat . Not a great show for a Saturday night - M&S can do better.

All the basics are covered - in fact for gluten free it beats its bigger cousin down in Charlton. During weekdays an excellent selection of fresh flowers and plants, again thrashing the larger more opulent one in SE7. Weekends, alas the pickings are sparse and for flowers you're going to be out of luck. The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly and it's quite pleasant - if a little chilly - to shop here.

Staff in the shop really rude, and they take the reduction first for their selves for even much lower price an they quickly go pay for it while on their shift. They leave no reductions for customers an they collect all the goods. Very poor customer service an they are very rude when you ask for help in store.

went to the store saturday morning and asked for change for the parking meter and the a trolley.....after 5 mins of being passed from customer service till to cashier and back again the staff began to bicker amongst themselves and i had to leave the shop and get change elsewhere. I have found a general lack of customer care and friendliness of approach to be endemic in this shop and suggest that management take a fresh look at the comments on this site and make appropriate change as this isn't an acceptable standard to be carrying the M&S flag.

Compared with other Simply Foods, this one is often poorly stocked (many staples often missing) and they have a mania for those continual illogical shelf rearrangements which drive customers mad. Friendly and helpful staff, forced to spend too much time changing everything around and not enough making sure stocks are kept high. New manager needed?
