In 2013, as an Australian tourist, I stumbled upon Drury and enjoyed the coffee and cake several times during my short stay in the Brighton area.
Upon returning in 2020 to the UK, I made a point to return to this great little coffee shop and after much searching, I found it again!
I was not disappointed! The coffee is made with love, the cakes have a homely feeling. Everything about Drurys makes you feel warm even when it is cold and raining outside. I just wish I could find a replica of this in my home country!

Love this cafe! Great homely food and very welcoming staff. Huge selection of their own teas plus a lovely little shop with shop where they sell their own teas and coffee beans. Huge selection of vegan options and gluten free too! Will definitely come again!

Great food, too many delicious looking things to choose from so we'll have to come back and sample some more! Coffee was good too, and service was pleasant and quick. There are clearly a lot of people who are regulars, which shows how well regarded the place is. Was also impressed at how specific diets (ie gluten free) were catered for. Highly recommend.

Made a special trip here for a coffee at 3pm today after checking their website which says it closes at 4pm on a Sunday. Thought I'd have an hour to myself!! However, not long after I sat down it was very clear staff were packing up for the day and at 3.30pm I was told they were closed! Don't be fooled by the times on their website!

What a little gem of a place. Friendly, efficient and welcoming. The perfect place to relax with a coffee and a lovely selection of light lunches and cakes, and then shop for your favourite tea and coffee. It's dog-friendly too, which makes it a "must" for me.

Best tea in the UK. Would recommend coming here just to stock up on tea (recommend the Assam). Service is nice and the setting is rustic. Only reason not a 5 star is that it's popular and thus usually filled to capacity (which is not the cafes fault).
