My child has been going to this nursery since he was a baby for 3 years now and i can honestly say that the teachers and other staff members have been wonderful. Everyone that i've encountered has been very helpful and friendly. My son seems to have a very good relationship with the teachers which i think tells you a lot about how the kids are treated in school. Accidents and incidents are always reported, your child's progress are discussed in detail. Queries are always dealt with in an professional and efficient manner. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Great nursery & convenient location / opening times for commuting parents. My daughter loves nursery. She's been going to Southgate bright horizons for a year and she gets so excited whenever it's a nursery day. She can't wait to climb up the entrance steps and start having fun. Over the 2020 pandemic the staff went above and beyond. They reopened asap and were so professional, I felt safe sending my daughter back to nursery. I am so happy that we picked this nursery, the only downside I can think of is that they don't take and upload pictures to an app like other nurseries. They did have an app but no longer use it.

After visiting so many daycares in my area, this was by far the BEST daycare around. My son has been attending this daycare since 4 months old and I couldn't be happier. It's the only place that I feel 100% comfortable leaving my son. The team together make this daycare great, from the quality of food, to activities to the front desk always keeping me informed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE TO ANY PARENT. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. :)

Active Learning Southgate is a wonderful, warm and welcoming environment. The nursery has a genuine family feel and they have made us feel so welcome from the very first day! My son has loved every session there and I wouldn't consider anywhere else for my second son. The facilities are excellent and the staff genuinely care about the children, which comes across in everything they do. I love the lessons system which keeps the children interested and stimulated, and also YOGA, Zumba, Ballet! How wonderful!!!! My son had absolutely flourished in their care and I love how happy he was in there. I couldn't have found a more perfect nursery for my children to attend. I can’t thank the manager Alyson enough for the superb start he has had to his education. I only wish they ran a primary school too!

5 stars! The experiences Bright Horizons Active Learning Southgate provide; teaching and environment are just wonderful. Their teachers offer a wealth of knowledge and experience to parents for both academic and personal development alike, they are extremely experienced, nurturing and supportive. The facilities are excellent, activities are very stimulating and there is a really nice sense of community. Parents are kept well informed and engaged in regular communication with the staff and management. The overall management of the nursery is extremely friendly, professional, organised and consistent. I would make sure any new parents have this place as top of their list when looking for a nursery and I'm extremely picky when it comes to the care of my children.

When my daughter is in this nursery I know she's happy and genuinely cared for. She has a clear affection for all the staff and has bonded with her key worker. All the team in the baby room know her well, her likes and dislikes, what she's learning and how she's developing, and they talk about her with affection. I like that there are activities and toys in the room that change everyday, so the children are getting constant learning and won't be bored. When you work hard to build a good, ethical nursery, it's always infuriating when a random person has the power to destroy what took you years to build. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t the least bit upset when saw the last reviews. The maneger and the staff really make this nursery though!

I had been booked in for a tour at 2.00pm. I went along with my 2 year old daughter and my 11 month old baby boy. Along arrival, I was told by Allyson (manager) that I was 20 minutes early and that she couldn’t let me in because everybody was on lunch and that all the babies were asleep. She told me that she couldn’t let me in and that I would have to leave and come back. As a professional manager, she should have let me inside and asked me to wait in the reception area as she clearly saw I had 2 babies with me. I found her manner very rude and decided I didn’t want my child to be in an environment surrounded by unfriendly adults so I decided to take my child to bright horizons in palmers green where the nursery has been opened for 6 weeks. The manager Jennifer made me feel very welcomed and it is a fantastic nursery and a lot cheaper too!

I am only given them a star because I had to in order to write this review. To say that we are very dissapointed with this nursery and management in particular will be a huge understatement. Our son began his settling period in January 2018. To cut the long story short I was reassured from the deputy manager Allyson that my son will be in good hands and he will be very well looked after. For anyone that don’t remember that January was just as cold as this one and for my surprise the nursery had an open door policy. Meaning that the garden door was open pretty much the entire day and every child including the women that worked there were miserable ( no wonder ) and made very little effort to calm him down when he was upset when I’ve left. Had I known that the door will remain open We wouldn’t have even attempt begining the settling period nor choosing this nursery. We have paid £200 at the begining of signing the contract with the nursery and overall our son attended for 1,5 hours in total. I expressed my concerns with Allyson but I was told that they cannot refund the £200 we have paid in vain therefore we have agreed to return when our son is 2 years old because she promised he will go up to the older children’s group where there was no open doors. We left it at that. Our son is nearly 3 years old and we have never not once been approached by the nursery to ask whether he will be going back to the nursery year on. Or simply one curtesy call to check up on us having taking our £200. We are very unhappy about the way we have been treated as unvalued customers. The nursery showed zero care nor compassion about our concerns. We are now glad we have made the right desission not to continue with their nursery if that is how they run it. I would not reccomend this nursery. I would advise anybody considering bringing their child in there to think twice. All they would do is take your money and promise things they will never deliver.
