I think most of the reviews on here must be fake. This place cost me such a lot of money! Now I've moved to a different garage my car is costing me almost nothing. You'll be much better off going elsewhere.

I have just bought my Fiat 500 and am so pleased with it. Thankyou Joshua you made the whole experience great. I would highly recommend buying a car from PHD. Joshuas knowledge of cars is second to none, and went all through the details with me step by step. So if there's any ladies that might feel intimidated about going in a showroom for the first time - don't. Go and speak to Joshua.

Phoned up asking about the new Tipo and the Panda. Great response from Joshua. Popped down the same day was met by Joshua in the car park. Polite, professional quality customer service, sound knowledge with passion for the cars. Walked away with buying a Fiat Tipo the same day. I remember buying a car 25 years ago, and the customer service was great then and is still great today. Also good experience chatting to the maintenance guys and other sales staff. All in all great experience with good staff. Nice one Matt

I am now on my 3rd car from PDH and have been using them for years. The car sales team are always helpful, when I have purchased my vehicles and have looked after me well. I have had services and other work carried out over the years and have always found the service staff friendly.

Him: I’m just finishing something off Me after looking at new fiat in showroom: How long will you be? Him: About 5 mins!! Booked in for MOT and requested oil warning light be turned off since local garage could not do it. Showed documentation to confirm oil had been changed at correct milage. Staff too cowardly to say they would not do it until after MOT wasting 2 hours of my time to travel to this far away service centre. They were very happy to fix it in a year at the next overpriced service and that I put up with a warning message for another year. Also very smug about that too. Not helpful

Back in 2013, I purchased my first FIAT 500 (pink) and it was absolutely great. Yes it had issues (only minimal) but they were sorted ASAP at the Findon branch. First lease car, great experience. Three years later I moved on to a FIAT 500X. It is also brilliant and serves me for everything I need although they moved to Hassocks. It’s a bigger branch with reasonable parking (and next to a petrol station thank goodness!). That’s all good, did the cheapest second year service for FIAT approved dealers in the area, brake changes not included as part of 2nd year service - still very reasonable. Now... I’ve had a mysterious noise start up in my car just over two years in. Nobody could find what it was even after 8 trips to the dealer. Had the tensioner changed, still no difference unfortunately. I then get a phone call saying I can have my car back as there’s nothing else that can be done only a few days after the tensioner was changed. After enquiring, I was told they can’t look into it anymore as they have lost the funding for it and they won’t get paid. Obviously I rang up FIAT in Italy to complain about this only to be told there’s no such thing as stopping funding. I don’t know what went on but they can sort that between them. I’m told by a lady within the dealership that my car is marked as safe to drive and I can continue as normal. BUT - I still have this horrible noise coming from my car? What really annoyed me was this reply - “If it’s okay to say, I think you’re looking for something that isn’t there”. Isn’t there? This noise wasn’t there when I had the car and neither was it there until a few months previous! I am told this noise is “characteristic of my vehicle” and despite reading other people had the same noise and had their engines fall apart, they said it’s unlikely and dismissed any further matters leaving me in fear of it happening to mine. The same car (silver FIAT 500X 1.4 multijet petrol engine) was my hire car in Spain (personal choice!). Did that make the noise? No it did not! FIAT then advise me to take my car to another dealer for warranty diagnostics. Would you like to know what they found on their first day? A broken engine mount! If that had snapped fully then yes, my engine would have come out as well as the gear box, radiator etc. To be told that this is characteristic of my vehicle and that it’s unlikely to be what I feared as well as them not looking any further into it, hell, that caused more than a bit of stress. For those who have heard of EDS and IBD, you can assume what happened next. Stress, time off work, loss of earnings, lack of mobility without a car just to name a few. I have been a long standing customer long before a lot of the service department have even worked there. I was fobbed off and had a potential disaster for a car and was told it was SAFE! Rest assured this won’t stay as just a review. If you DO want to contact me PDH then please do so via e-mail which you have on file. Don’t get me wrong, I loved buying cars from you and loved the whole experience but this was a major fudge up even after me asking you to carry on looking. It’s just as well someone else did or the car would be back on your doorstep. I think some people could do with more extensive customer service qualifications and disaster planning for when issues like this do occur. If everything is fine then the service is great but when something goes wrong, we know about it. I’ve had better customer service from a colonoscopy! Please don’t be discouraged from buying from PDH Hassocks. The experience was brilliant both times, just be wary of the after care which I have read will be improved from other reviews (starting from 1 year ago). They do good deals and it’s perfect for anyone’s first time buying experience, especially the FIAT 500 ones and they are cheap to finance. 99% of the time you will have a perfect and brand new car which you will enjoy. Just don’t be the designated driver all the time, the petrol costs get a little high.

I would avoid these guys if you are looking to purchase Fiat or Abarth. Poor customer service - my car was completely out of fuel when I collected it for a start. They then accuse you of being bullying and threatening when you get annoyed at their total lack of response to issues that you raise! Not a good representation of the Fiat or Abarth brands!

Visited the dealership at the weekend and enquired about a new Abarth 595. I spoke to Harry and he show my partner and I around the different vehicles available in there showroom. We both then testdrove the car - it was fantastic. Harry was very attentive and professional in his approach we felt very valued, some dealers attitude to motability customers can be really poor. Our thanks to Harry, we will be in to order when our current contract is due for renewal.

I purchased a Fiat Punto from the guys at PDH early last year and what a wise decision that was. From the sales team to the service department & technicians, every department is professional, knowledgeable and a credit to the company. The communication from the service team especially is always great. With every visit, you get treated with respect and always feel part of the PDH family. I would recommend PDH cars to anyone thinking of buying a new or used car. My little punto (Evelyn) is a joy but who knows, i may be back for a Tipo in the near future :)

My wife was looking for a small car and a helpful salesman arranged a test drive in a Panda and a 500, however, although she liked the 500 the seats didn't suit her. She sat in an Abarth and liked the seats, but we went away to see if we could find another car that suited.Last Saturday we returned to have another look at the Abarth and again she liked the seats and wanted to arrange a test drive. The salesman we saw this time told her she wouldn't like the car, that it was too sporty for her and she should look at a Panda. Sitting in a car on the parking lot, we were told it wasn't for sale, even though it was on the website and there was a price sticker in the boot. He had made his mind up that my wife couldn't afford the car and she should make do with a black and red Panda he obviously wanted to get rid of. We left and bought an Abarth the next day from a garage that was happy to sell one. She is now awaiting delivery of her new car. Some of the younger staff were fine and helpful, but one person in particular seemed to have an issue with women and 'sportier' cars.

I purchased my fiat punto here in 2009 and had it serviced there every year but the service has been getting worse every year and now it's so bad I won't be going there anymore. This year the receptionist said my car could be picked up and dropped back the same day and I relied on this as I needed my car the next day. I then missed a call from them later in the afternoon as I was working, I called back 30 mins later only to be told it was now too late to drop my car off that day and the reason is because they wanted payment before dropping my car off. I was naturally very upset as it was incredibly difficult for me to make alternative arrangements to get to work. The receptionist (Savannah) was unbelievably rude and made no effort to help me out even though they caused the problem. As a long standing customer I was treated with complete disdain and to refuse to drop my car back because they think I'm not going to pay is ridiculous. End result is I will never use them again.

I purchased my Fiat Abarth 595 from the Colchester Abarth dealership earlier this year; as such the vehicle required its yearly service to keep it within its manufacture warranty. My first thoughts were to go to PDH Cars Ltd Abarth in Hassocks which I regret to this very day! I initially called and spoke to Savannah (service receptionist) who at first seemed very blunt and impolite as a first point of contact for customers. I was quoted for the 2nd year service for my car at £380 and was quite surprised, I realised I could service my vehicle at a VAT registered garage if they use Abarth genuine parts and follow the guidelines, which would also keep the car within the manufactures warranty; to which I did and this saved me a large amount of money. Unfortunately my garage had found some issues with the car and said to me “I can do the work however it will cost you x amount, I recommend you to go to an approved Abarth dealer as it is warranty work” I then immediately called my local Abarth dealer PDH Cars and was put through to Savannah, who said me to “we can’t accept this car as you have taken it elsewhere, that’s not how we work” she was quite rude in the way she spoke to me. I also corrected her when she implied that the handbook requires you to get the service done at an Abarth dealership only. I would not recommend visiting PDH Cars for any type of warranty work for Abarth unless you have purchased the car from themselves as to them apparently…. (Quoted from Savannah) “It feels like we are being used” During this ridiculous and time-consuming experience I was contacted by the managing director Duncan Armstrong, throughout the entire conversation his tone was very condescending towards me. He seemed to enjoy the fact that he was correct and I was wrong. He said the fact was that, “we are a family own business, we take care of our own” Customer service skills are obviously not one of their strengths. This has taken up a week of my life and given me more stress than was needed for a simple warranty issue. I sincerely do not recommend PDH Cars Ltd to anyone!

My wife came to pdh, to pump up her tyre and realising it was flat, went into the service department and asked if anyone could help change it. She was told it would be 45 minutes. As it was pelting down with rain and no other way of getting to work or doing it herself she had no choice but to wait. An hour and twenty minutes later the car was done at a cost of £57 (including vat). This is disgusting, it is a 10 minute job that at other garages would have seen them sending out an apprentice and charging nearer £25 ( i have checked and asked for quotes). So why are pdh charging so much??? Total rip off of a woman on her own Pete Thank you for getting back to us on this matter. Thank you to Duncan Armstrong for sending my wife a full refund and a apology on behalf of pdh. Pete

Frankley the worst experience of a dealer/servicing department ever! As I am classic car collector I have a basic understanding of mechanics as well as some common sense. Two qualitys which the staff/mechanics seam to lack at PDH. Constantly contradicting themselves, blame shifting and rudeness seam to be their prevailing qualitys! Avoid at all cost, I would rather drive halfway across the country than let them touch my girlfriends car again! Will be be contacting the MD at Fiat UK to share my experience.
