Great little coffee shop with a small yard out the back, perfect for those who still smoke!
Coffee is the best I’ve tasted in Brighton and the staff were friendly.
Minuses one star for not telling us that oat milk as a replacement would cost more. A shame as most coffee shops give a non-milk alternative for the same price

Super friendly staff, great coffee and nice music. I've started going there to work as they have plenty of plugs in the wall for me to charge my laptop. Can't wait for the weather to improve so I can use their outside seating :)

Very cozy and some of the best cakes you’ll find around! Also coffee is great, with fast service(staff is great and friendly).
It can get a little bit too noisy upstairs but nothing particularly disturbing.

They take great pride in their coffee and quite rightly so. Cakes and food are superb too. They are also open until 7pm which is brilliant when you're wanting to chat with friends after work or on your way out for the evening. Staff are really friendly and the music has always been soulful when I've visited, which is perfect for me!

Lovely staff and has cute decor/outside area! Coffee is one of the most expensive in Brighton if you go for non-dairy milk, and more vegan cake options would be great as they do look delicious!

It's a small place, but with really lovely atmosphere. The top floor is nice and quieter, and has a table with a view to the street. Also, I'd like to come back daily to try ALL the cakes. They look so tempting.

The coffee stands out even for Brighton, with consistently great service and a lovely staff. The cake game is strong too. Amazing atmosphere, great for work and casual meetings as well. Plus I love how you get a different vintage spoon every time.

My favourite coffee shop in Brighton! They have amazing delicious different cakes every week, nice and different flavours! Courgette, carrot, chocolate, lots of flapjacks, savoury.. and vegan too! Chai latte is a must for me, specially with coconut milk. The local is cute, has a terrace inside and outside, and the cutlery is so cute too.
My one and only complain would be that the toilet is outside, and can be cold in winter, but absolutely fine for me :)

After reading good reviews I wasn't not trilled by what this café had to offer. Dry cakes, loud inside, and the tea was slightly burnt tasting. Wouldn't recommend with the many other fantastic options just around the corner

Basically the most hipster coffee shop in Brighton. Tasty mocha. I think the cakes are a bit dry tbh. Quite expensive.. But if you're a trendy hipster u will like.

Excellent coffee with a great flat white. Also their hot chocolate is a cut above, served frothy and with a flake. Didn't have cake this time, but the ladies at the table beside us declared the courgette and lime to be the best cake they'd ever had.

Pelicano , the number 1 spot for coffee in Brighton. If not the UK. They roast they're own single origin blends of coffee, and let me tell you, you'll never have such a rich and flavourful coffee anywhere else. The staff are the nicest people and are so happy to answer qeustions about the roast

Nice coffee. Wouldn't recommend any pastries or cakes. Cakes are really really dry and there's no taste. Seats in the garden are very dirty, covered with cigarette ashes.

Intimate and cosy place.
Great selection of delicious looking cakes and bakes.
Had coffee there( which was excellent) The 3 year old i look after had a babychino.
When she had a spillage with her drink the staff were very helpful.
Defiantly recommend!

Excellent coffee but won't be back. Staff preparing food came out to play with a dog then returned behind the counter to continue preparing food. Utterly disgusting. The food is laid out on open platters and the filthy animal shouldn't have been in the premises in the first place, let alone be handled by staff.

Lots of choice available in the area, unfortunately though okay not as good as what is available locally. Visited on a very busy weekend therefore may not be fully reflective of normal service.
Double Espresso and Cortado ordered. Friends had Lattes which appeared fine.
Cortado - Flat white served - To slow service so accepted. Good Quality Flat white.
Espresso - Strong Creme, I like strong and bitter but this was beyond anything I have tasted over extracted, made me pull a face whilst drinking.
Cake and Bagel - pricey - Cake lovely generous slice shared between two. Bagel - as expected.
