Our experience was favourable. Jon was a very amiable fellow who knows his stuff and was able to provide a really good service for our company. Very refreshing to meet a genuine guy who is good at what he does. Get the impression they get quite busy, and therefore can't be expected to be quite as slick as a big corporate, but when you understand it's a small local business working hard to do your job for you, you remember that actually life should be a little more like this. Thank you.

We had a tyre fitted (ordered through black circles 2 days ago) at Wheels R Us. The next day we took it out and the tyre went flat again. We had to pay for a new tyre fitted in another garage (Elite Garage). The conclusion from Elite was that they "had to replace tyre due to incorrectly fitted valve". Elite said they always change the valve with the tyre and could not understand why the valve hadn't been checked and changed by Wheels R Us. What annoys me the most, is that we then called up Wheels R Us to explain in a really polite way and ask for a possible reimbursement of the tyre (As we have paid for two tyres in two days!!) Immediately, he was defensive, rude, and dismissive which is completely unacceptable. Especially as they charged £10 for bending the wheel back into shape, but didn't bother checking the valve. I don't even want the £10 back just the price of the tyre. I am just annoyed with the response from them as they made a mistake and did not rectify it or just offer the price of the tyre. Don't bother using them. Use Elite Garage in Haywards Heath at least they will replace your valve...

ADDITIONAL: After reading your response, you were rude to my partner. We have no issue with you bending the wheel into shape, and we paid for it and were happy. If you feel the price was nominal - charge more then? We are not accountable for this and this is not the issue here.
When the tyre went flat for a second time, we were not physically able to drop it back to you, as police told us that we cannot drive it back the distance to Hassocks. As the valve was damaged your suggestion of "pumping it up" we were not able to do as air kept pouring back out.
Hence, why we rang you to explain this when we got back home. If you are being given so little from Black Circles, or offering less service, then don't bother being part of this. As a customer the service is appalling. I have also complained to Black Circles. Maybe next time, explain this to customers who have ordered through this website.
This is not out fault, we are a customer who has paid for 2 bl**dy tyres in two days. You did not fit the first tyre correctly. Own up to it.

I have used Wheels R Us twice now. Originally for a replacement tyre and alloy wheel refurbishment on my own car following pot hole damage. Then most recently for repair & repainting of two bumper scuffs on a lease car ahead of it being returned at the end of the 4 year contract. On both occasions I have been very happy with the work completed and done at a reasonable price. The owner Jon is friendly and helpful and it’s good to support a small local business.

I own a 2001 Jaguar XKR with split rim 20" Detroit Bbs wheels & I wanted to have the wheels refurbished. I needed to obtain the rims & located Wheels R Us in Hassocks, Sussex. The contact was simple as was the buying process. When I received the rims I was very impressed & they now look spanking on my refurbished wheels. Thanks to Jon for sorting this out. Excellent customer service, friendly, knowledgeable and fairly priced. National Tyres quoted £320 for three tyres supposedly needing replacing on a two year old car. Jon fixed a puncture for a fraction of that and was able to do so right away. I know where I will be going next time I need help with my car. Thank you again!

I rang John on the off chance he could help my son who had a cracked alloy causing a slow puncture the day before he was due to drive 250 miles to college, it was ten minutes before he was due to close but he rang around to try and help find a replacement unfortunately to no avail. Most people would claim defeat but he phoned his welder and persuaded them to come to work and fix the wheel! John also spotted a nail in a different tyre and sorted that too, I cannot thank John and his welder enough for going above and beyond to help us, we have one very happy son :) You really saved the day!!!

He fully appreciated that I was seeking a cost-effective remedy rather than a full refurbishment. On the day, John was very easy to deal with and carried out the repair while I waited. Took in a set of audi split rim speedlines which needed some bolts drilled out and a full refurb. Very big mistake. After about 2 months of delays and delays eventually said enough is enough having paid £400 collected them unfinished to take somewhere else. They did not even manage to drill out all the rounded off bolts and also they powdercoated (not very well) the assembly face so the wheels would not reassemble properly. To fix the very poor work of this company and bring to a high standard it has costed me £837 at a different company (Wheelcare, who are absolutely brilliant and had them turned around in 2 weeks). John also refused to give me any money back therefore I shall probably be seeing him in court. Steer well clear of this company.

Made contact with Jon following an issue with losing air from one of my tyres as a result of a cracked alloy. I had been told that I needed to replace the alloy at a significant cost. I submitted photos of the problem and Jon recommended a weld and saved me a 'bloody fortune'. He was efficient, honest, knowledgable and provided a fantastic service. The wheel is now repaired and the work was completed on time, as promised. I would certainly recommend Jon and have no doubt that I will use his business again.

I found Wheels 'R' Us via Black Circles, and since they're fairly local to me I selected them to fit my new Dunlops. Very happy when I got a call from the owner, the day before scheduled appointment, saying tyres had arrived and could fit straight away. Worked out perfectly, and refreshing to come across a business proactively looking after customers.

I took a car I for 4 wheels to be changed over as agreed on the phone the day before. There was 2 other people there with John brown (owner) I spoke to them in a nice good morning manner. The 2 people drove off leaving me and John there. He said ( Mate don't ever speak to my customers again) put ur car by the gates. I'll do it in 1 n half hours. I said we agreed to 9-9.30 . He said NOT MY PROBLEM MATE. I said please squeeze the car in as agreed. He said MATE.. DON'T MAKE YOU'RE PROBLEM MY PROBLEM MATE. I said can you just please do it..he said. MATE, I've got no time for you..I said, you have waisted my time. He said. MATE, MATE , go away I'm busy. His attitude and body language was aggressive. I've I could give less than one star I would.. I would not go there unless you want a really bad day..

Had my car for over 2 weeks! Done wheels twice and still the paint peeled off! I had to take legal action to get money back!
Wheels are worse now that when they when in!
Please avoid to save the trouble and money!!!!

Seems like a good local company. To the other reviewer (taxi guy) expecting alloy welds to last 100,000 miles, there is no guarantee due to the heat treatment at the factory being affected by the repair. Rather than leaving a comany which can do you an economical fix at a decent rate low stars on google, perhaps you should cough up and buy a new alloy instead of expecting miracles.

If I could give less than one star I would, my partner went in for a job offer going to simply to clean wheels and the manager takes one look at us gives a 30 seconds exchange of conversation saying “no, you’d scare away my customers and you even scaring me” over no more than 3 piercings.
Coming from such a bad alley looking place I find it hard to believe it’d be my partner that scared anyone away, rather the disgusting attitude from the person running the place and premise itself.

Poor overpriced work.
I cracked an alloy, had it repaired here, paid £70 within 2000 miles the weld had cracked. After removing the tire discovered only outside of wheel had been welded nothing on the inside (under the tire). Taken to local machinist who is going to do the work properly and for half the price.
